    Hi, I am trying to loop through some data from my database but it is outputting it twice. $fields = 'field1, field2, field3, field4'; $idFields = 'id_field1, id_field2, id_field3, id_field4'; $tables = 'table1, table2, table3, table4'; $table = explode(', ', $tables); $field = explode(', ', $fields); $id = explode(', ', $idFields); $str = 'Egg'; $i=1; while ($i<4) { $f = $field[$i]; $idd = $id[$i]; $sql = $writeConn->select()->from($table[$i], array($f, $idd))->where($f . What happens is: my table has a DATE field and I'd like it to output already formated when I call $row-reg_date. Is it possible by doing something in the model or do I have to manually format?

  • installing a package with xml based configuration in python

    Hi, I am planning to write a generic python module for installing a package. This script should retrieve the module from a remote machine or locally and install it on a given host and user. However, there needs to be changes made to the package files based on the host, user and given environment. My approach is to use XML to describe changes to be made to package files based on environment. It will first extract the package to the user directory and then using an xml configuration file, it should replace the file values in the package directory. The query I'm using was proposed by Bill Karwin on another thread here for setting arbitrary record order. I tried using a prepared statement, but the values in the SIGN() function got quoted.     Hi, I'm trying to download a file from my provider. The url is protected with basic username and password, and everything is sent over ssl. So I try to do this: WebClient proxy = new WebClient(); proxy.DownloadStringCompleted += (o, dscea) => System.Diagnostics.Debugger.Break(); proxy.Credentials = new NetworkCredential("username", "password"); proxy.DownloadStringAsync(new Uri("https://..../.../data.xml")); As you can see I try to validate. The data IS correct, and the code works when I try to download something from twitter. What am I forgetting to connect to this xml file?

    A user may have several labels, and links. Then, a user associates a label (or more) to a link. How does one represent the later relationship? A solution could be a many-to-many relationship btw user and link with the optional attribute label. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Java_Persistence/ManyToMany#Mapping_a_Join_Table_with_Additional_Columns In this case the relationship btw user and label may better be 'virtual'. Any alternative I'm not seeing? PS: I've used google bookmarks terminology, as it matches my case quite well.

    I've an entity LearningUnit that has an int primary key. Actually, it has nothing more. Entity Concept has the following relationship with it: @ManyToOne @Size(min=1,max=7) private LearningUnit learningUnit; In a constructor of Concept I need to retrieve the LearningUnit with the greatest primary key. If no LearningUnit exists yet I instantiate one. I then set this.learningUnit to the retrieved/instantied. Finally, I call the empty constructor of Concept in a try-catch block, to have the entitymanager do the cardinality check. If an exception is thrown (I expect one in the case that already another 7 Concepts are referring to the same LearningUnit. In that case, I case instantiate a new LearningUnit with a new greater primary key. Please, also point out, if any, clear pitfalls in my outlined algorithm above.

  • Extended Zend_Db_Table_Row_Abstract does not return values

    Hi, I'm quite new to Zend and the database classes from it. I'm having problems mapping a Zend_Db_Table_Row_Abstract to my rows. The problem is that whenever I try to map it to a class (Job) that extends the Zend_Db_Table_Row_Abstract class, the database data is not receivable anymore. I'm not getting any errors, trying to get data simply returns null. Here is my code so far: Jobs: class Jobs extends Zend_Db_Table_Abstract { protected $_name = 'jobs'; protected $_rowsetClass = "Job"; public function getActiveJobs() { $select = $this->select()->where('jobs.jobDateOpen < UNIX_TIMESTAMP()')->limit(15,0); $rows = $this->fetchAll($select); return $rows; } } Job: class Job extends Zend_Db_Table_Row_Abstract { public function getCompanyName() { //Gets the companyName for this row (Is on another table), just for example } } Controller: $oJobs = new Jobs(); $aActiveJobs = $oJobs->getActiveJobs(); foreach ($aActiveJobs as $value) { var_dump($value->jobTitle); } When I remove the "protected $_rowsetClass = "Job";" line, so that the table row is not mapped to my own class, I get all the jobTitles perfectly.     I've got in-memory dataset with couple of tables that is populated in code. Data-bound grids on the gui show table contents without a problem. Then I try to export the dataset into XML: ds.WriteXml(fdSave.FileName, XmlWriteMode.WriteSchema); and get empty XML (with couple of lines regarding dataset names but without any tables) If I export table directly I've got all the data but dataset name is obviously wrong: ds.Fields.WriteXml(fdSave.FileName, XmlWriteMode.WriteSchema); What am I missing? Is there any reasonable way to write the whole dataset into file?

  • How can I use a pre-populated core data DB on my device.

    Hi all, I have developed my app using core data. It works fine in the simulator. When I deploy it to the device the DB is empty. It is 49k where it should be 484k. Basically it is not populated. Since I don't write to the DB when the app is running I need to provide a populated DB to the App. So I copied the populated DB from the simulator to resources and then deploy. Still no luck. the populated DB is in MyApp.app and the AppDelegate is reading from the Documents directory. How do I either get it in the documents directory or get the app delegate to look in the app? Thanks in advance, Andrew

However, I consider this case a valid update task. How would I test it, so I can assign a success message? Is update() returns -1 when SQL query failed or also 0?
