• GWT and Mock the view in MVP pattern

  Hello, i dunno if the question is already ask, but i couldn't find it... i'm searching a way to mock my view in order to test my presenter ? i try to use mockito for the view, and set it in the presenter, but in result in presenter, when i call presenter.getDisplay() (the getter for the view) all of my widget is null ? as i believe it's normal mockito will not mock the widget. i'm 100% sure i mistaken something but i couldnt find it. thanks for your enlightement :)

• Killing a program if it displays a dialog box (devenv.com running under CruiseControl.net)

  I have CruiseControl.net running Visual Studio (2005/2008 - using devenv.com) as we need to build deployment projects (.vdproj). At times, for various reasons devenv decides that even though it was run from the command line, using the devenv.com varient, it still wants to put up a dialog box. Now, as it's running under CruiseControl.net on a remote server this is never seen and the only syptom of this is that the build eventually times out. When the build is still in progress a look at the tasks shows devenv running but not consuming any processor power. Is there a handy utility through which could run devenv.com which basically watches the program it starts up and basically kills it if it dares to display a dialog box of any kind?

  Hi. I am researching how to install Ruby 1.9.1 in Xubuntu 10.04 and I came across the command build-essential and build-dep multiple times. Sometimes it is followed by packages and sometimes it is both preceded and post-ceded by packages.   I have a view, set by setContentView(new CompassView(this)); I have the onDraw and update methods filled out. What I need to do with the view CompassView is update my view with the new data at the end of the call in the onSensorChanged method. The methods I have to fill out, I believe, are the surfaceChanged and surfaceCreated. They are normally using threads which takes care of the update and onDraw calls but I removed the thread because when the thread was enabled, in the infinite while loop I was never getting any azimuth value what so ever.

  Folks, Yesterday I installed Rails 3.2 on Ubuntu 12.10 and created a new project in order to check it. It was working OK. Today I tried to create a new project and got the message bellow (Portuguese version): O programa 'rails' pode ser encontrado nos seguintes pacotes: * rails * ruby-railties-3.2 Tente: sudo apt-get install <pacote selecionado> Something like: The program 'rails' could not be found in the follow packages: ... ... Try: sudo apt-get install <selected package> I run the command gem list and all the gems are listed, including Rails one. I tried to search on the web for a solution, but haven't found any.   Hi, I am new to iphone dev. I have a Label and a scroll view. I am trying to get data from url and bind it to label and a scroll view. I am able to bind the data to label by using... UrlValues *asana=[[data yoga]objectAtIndex:i]; self.AsanaName.text = [asana asanatitle]; Similarly i want to bind some other data in the url to a scroll view. The data i want to bind is 4 or 5 sentences. So, can anyone help me how to do it... Any sample code will be really helpful... Thanks

• ViewController vs. View

  Trying to wrap my head around the apple design scheme. I have a UIViewController and the corresponding XIB file that has my main screen in my application. I want to have a button on this XIB that displays another "form" (this is my disconnect) in the foreground where the user selects from a myriad of choices, then it hides that "form" and goes back to the first one. I'm completely lost here. Initially I thought I'd just add another view and set the self.view of my controller to the new view, add another IBAction and call it a day, but I can't seem to make that work. For sake of argument, say I want to "gray out" the current form, have a modal type window that takes up roughly 60% of the screen and requires you select an option, then it hides itself and we go back to normal. What is the standard approach here? Thanks

• Using Regex groups in bash

  Greetings, I've got a directory with a list of pdfs in it: file1.pdf, file2.pdf, morestuff.pdf ... etc. I want to convert these pdfs to pngs, ie file1.png, file2.png, morestuff.png ... etc. The basic command is, convert from to, But I'm having trouble getting convert to rename to the same file name. The obvious 'I wish it worked this way' is convert *.pdf *.png But clearly that doesn't work. My thought process is that I should utilize regular expression grouping here, to say somethink like convert (*).pdf %1.png but that clearly isn't the right syntax. I'm wondering what the correct syntax is, and whether there's a better approach (that doesn't require jumping into perl or python) that I'm ignoring. Thanks!

• MS Access (2010) Enable Design View

  I downloaded the Access template below for doing a home inventory: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/results.aspx?qu=home%20inventory&ex=1&queryid=0d245f2a%2Dacdc%2D4161%2D92c8%2D8ba16a52ab32&AxInstalled=1&c=0#ai:TC101918100| The design view is not visible, which is a bit of a nuisance. Things I've tried: 1) In options/options/current database/ the check boxes (enable layout view & enable design changes for tables in Datasheet view) are both greyed out. 2) I've unblocked the file using Right-Click-Properties. 3) I've tried copying/exporting the objects to another database. But can only copy/export the tables. 4) I've tried holding shift when opening the DB. 5) Enabling all trust permissions etc. None of these work Does anybody have any suggestions. (I'm using Office 2010) Thanks

  We have a bunch of formsets: EmailAddressInlineFormSet = generic_inlineformset_factory( EmailAddress, extra=1, exclude=["created_by","last_modified_by"]) emailaddressformset = EmailAddressInlineFormSet( instance=person, prefix="emailaddress") # [ more definitions ] and, in the view, we process them as: emailaddressformset = EmailAddressInlineFormSet( request.POST, instance=person, prefix="emailaddress") # [ more definitions ] So, nothing fancy or unordinary. The unfortunate or unordinary fact is, we have 15 of these formsets, one for email addresses, other for phone numbers etc. so the view code is ugly and not-so-manageable. What would be the most unhackish way to handle this number of formsets in a single view? At the end -i guess- I'm looking for a class or a functionality like multiple_generic_inline_formset and open to all kind of suggestions or discussions.

  Hi, I have a UITabbBarController with a UITableView. Under certain circumstances the TabBarControllers dataset requires updating when a user arrives from another view, e.g. the initial load when the TabBarController is called the first time, or when the settings are changed. This dataset update takes about 2 seconds and I want to show an UIActivityIndicatorView. Trouble is that when I enter from another view I don't know which view to attach it to, since the loading of the tabbarController is carried out in the viewWillAppear method. Any clues how I can go about this?

• How to send argument securely using Process class?

  Hello, I'm using System.Diagnostics.Process to execute an svn command from a windows console application. This is the configuration of the process: svn.StartInfo.FileName = svnPath; svn.StartInfo.Arguments = string.Format("copy {0}/trunk/ {0}/tags/{1} -r head -q --username {3} --password {4} -m \"{2}\"", basePathToRepo, tagName, message, svnUserName, svnPassword); svn.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false; svn.Start(); svn.WaitForExit(); My problem is that those arguments, which include the svn credentials, are sent (I suppose) in an unsecure way. Is there a way to send these arguments in a secure way using the Process class? Thanks!

  For two different store Views using the same locale, it is easy to manage translations for miscellaneous text that's stored in CSV files. It's just a question of configuring the locale correctly so the correct CSV files will be used. But my client has entered a bunch of translations for products and categories into the admin by changing the scope to "Store 1 German" and setting the translations. But now he has Store 2, with a German store view. How does he keep "Store 1 German Store View" and "Store 2 German Store View" in sync?

  Hello, I have a dictionary I'm passing to a View. I want to be able to pass the values of that dictionary back to a Controller action from this same View. Is there anyway this can be accomplished without using a form? The situation is that I need to be able to pass these back to a controller action that is called when a user clicks an ActionLink from the View, and in my experience an ActionLink cannot be used to submit a values of a form, i.e. I've only been able to submit values of a form using the form's submit button. Unless there's a way to use an ActionLink to submit values in a form.

• Creating a variable-speed slideshow based on USB input on OSX.

  I have a friend who is trying to put together a geeky little contraption for a wedding, where people can view a slideshow. Neither of us use Macs, nor have programmed for one, but for various reasons it has to run on a Mac. There will be a USB ammeter hooked up to a bike dynamo. What we want is for a slideshow to be run, and advance at a speed relative to how fast someone is pedaling on a stationary bike. After much googling, it seems like we could load an iPhoto slideshow up via applescript. Is it possible to pause the slideshow and advance it with keypress commands? The applescript commands would be run via a bash script or similar that would monitor the value returned by the USB ammeter's command-line app and issue the keypress events accordingly. Is there some other app that could be likewise scripted to display photos?Hoping someone has some hints to get us started in the right direction! Thanks!

  Hi all: I am working on a script, that needs to be run in many different SQL servers. Some of them, shared the same structure, in other words, they are identical, but the filegroups and the DB names are different. This is because is one per client. Anyway, I would like when running a script, If I chose the wrong DB, it should not be executed. I am trying to mantain a clean DB. here is my example, which only works for dropping a view if exists, but does not work for creating a new one. I also wonder how it would be for creating a stored procedure. • Adding a new view to a Window-based app (re: MapKit tutorial)

  I'm trying add a new view in a window-based application but not really getting anywhere. I've been going through a great MapKit tutorial lately, http://mithin.in/2009/06/22/using-iphone-sdk-mapkit-framework-a-tutorial/ and have successfully set it up and added some further buttons and customizations. However I've gotten stuck at what I assume ought to be a brain-dead simple step. I have added a toolbar to the bottom of the app, and a 'settings' style button. Following this I created a SettingsViewController complete with it's own view. Now I'd like to connect them but I've had absolutely no luck trying to figure out how to do this. I've also gone through several other good tutorials lately, http://miketeo.net/wp/index.php/2008/08/31/simple-iphone-tutorial-part-1.html http://blog.webscale.co.in/?p=228 http://www.iphonesdkarticles.com/2009/01/uitableview-searching-table-view.html but I've gotten lost trying to tie these two bits together.   Hi, I am using ASP.NET MVC2 with NHibernate, but am facing an issue. All calls to the database via NHibernate should be inside a transaction, however code inside the view kicks off database calls in some instances. Thus there is a need to be able to commit the transaction after the view has rendered. For example displaying a list of users and their user roles you might show the user role using this code: <%: Model.UserRole.Name % This will cause a hit on the database as the UserRole is loaded using a NHibernate proxy. You can fetch the UserRole eagerly which circumvents the issue in this case, but there are cases where it is much faster to use lazy loading. Anyway, is there a way to run code after a view has rendered?

• Alignment of View Elements within a LinearLayout

  I hate to ask this question; for some reason I can't figure it out on my own. I have a vertical LinearLayout that contains a custom View that I've defined in my app and and a TextView. I'd like my custom View to be aligned on the top of the screen and the TextView to be aligned at the bottom of the screen. Unfortunately, no matter what changes I make to the attributes of the XML file, my custom View always seems to be centered vertically when I run the emulator.   I have created a view in Drupal. I"m using javascript to modify css in each row. The script runs on the first row, but does not make the changes on the rest of rows from the view.
