  • Rails Layout Rendering with controller condition

    I don't know what's the best way to doing this. On my application.html.erb I define a header div. My default controller ( root ) is a homepage controller. And I wish that if I'm at index of the homepage the header is rendering with some content, but all other controllers render another content inside that header. How can I make a condition in that header div to render different content based on the controller that's being rendered?

  • html horizontal scrolling

  • WPF tooltip in MS datagrid

    Hi I show my business objects in a MS datagrid, containing "country", "city", "street", for example. I can set a tooltip for each column showing its content using a style, so I get the "country" as tooltip when hooverinmg over the "country" column and so on. But I did not succeed 1) to show the content of "country" when hoovering over "city" 2) to show the content of some other property (not even displayed in the datagrid) when hoovering the datagrid Any clues?   • Python Post Upload JPEG to Server?

    It seems like this answer has been provided a bunch of times but in all of it, I'm still getting errors from the server and I'm sure it has to do with my code. I've tried HTTP, and HTTPConnection from httplib and both create quite different terminal outputs in terms of formatting/encoding so I'm not sure where the problem lies. Does anything stand out here? Or is there just a better way? I figure I can upgrade to poster after it's working yes?

    Hi guys, I'm having trouble with one particular issue, I was hoping someone could help me out. I've completed the MVC Music Store tutorial, and now I'm trying to add some administrator functionality - practice as I will have to do this in an MVC application in my job. The application is using the aspnet membership api, and what I have done so far is created a view to list the users. What I want to be able to do, is click on the users name in order to change their password. To try and carry the username to the changeUserPassword controller (custom made). I registered a new route in the global.asax.cs file in order to display the username in the URL, which is working so far. UserList View <%: Html.RouteLink(user.UserName, "AdminPassword", new { controller="StoreManager", action="changeUserPassword", username = user.UserName }) %> Global.asax.cs routes.MapRoute( "AdminPassword", //Route name "{controller}/{action}/{username}", //URL with parameters new { controller = "StoreManager", action = "changeUserPassword", username = UrlParameter.Optional} ); So now the URL looks like this when I reach the changeUserPassword view: http://localhost:51236/StoreManager/changeUserPassword/Administrator Here is the GET changeUserPassword action: public ActionResult changeUserPassword(string username) { ViewData["username"] = username; return View(); } I wanted to store the username in ViewData as I would like to use it in the GET changeUserPassword for display purposes, and also as a hidden value in the form. This is in order to pass it through to enable me to reset the password. Having debugged through the code, it seems that 'username' is null. How can I get this to work so that the username carries over from the Html.RouteLink, to the changeUserPassword action?     I am trying to create multiple items (each with a name value and a content value) in a single form. The code I have is functioning, but I cannot figure out how to ignore items that are blank.     EDIT: It seems that ListPicker is the way to go but I have had further problems with that detailed Microsoft.Phone.Controls.Toolkit ListPicker throws XamlParseException I have the following ComboBox in code: <ComboBox x:Name="Result" Grid.Column="6" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" Foreground="Black" Background="White"> <ComboBoxItem Content="Win" /> <ComboBoxItem Content="Place" /> <ComboBoxItem Content="Lose" /> </ComboBox> But it does not display as I would have expected. When you drop down the ComboBox the options don't appear, it's just like empty items. See below: However, when an item is selected, it displays correctly and the correct index/item is returned. On this panel this year we had Michael Wells from Raymond James, Joy Mathew and Venki Govindarajan from Comcast, and Serkan Karatas from Turk Telekom. Our panelists have a great mix of experiences and all are passionate about using Oracle Data Integration products to solve very complex use cases. Each panelist was given a ten minute to overview their use of our product, followed by a barrage of questions from the audience. Michael Wells spoke about using Oracle GoldenGate for heterogeneous real time replication from HP (Tandem) NonStop to SQL Server and emphasized the need for using standard naming conventions for when customers configure GoldenGate, as the practices is immensely helpful when debugging a problem. Joy Mathew and Venkat Govindarajan from Comcast described how they have used GoldenGate for over a decade and their experiences of using the product for replicating data from HP nonstop to Terdata. Serkan Karatas from Turk Telekom dove into using Oracle GoldenGate and the value of archiving data in extremely large databases, which in Turk Telekoms case resulted in a 1 month ROI for the entire project.   • Google Drive Update keeps throwing an error when I try to save a thumbnail

    The Base64 string checks out fine. I was able to export it to another website and download it again as my image. When I try to do an update using the Drive Javascript api, it just keeps returning this error: Invalidvaluefor:Notavalidbase64bytestring I also true making the string URL safe. Per this page https://google-api-client-libraries.appspot.com/documentation/drive/v2/python/latest/drive_v2.files.html Am I doing something wrong here, the documentation says send Base64, the string is valid and, the string is intact throughout the process, but Google will not accept it? I am using the javascript api, I think there is maybe a bug sending the thumbnail using the javascript api.   • JavaScript: How to get text from all descendents of an element, disregarding scripts?

    My current project involves gathering text content from an element and all of its descendents, based on a provided selector. For example, when supplied the selector #content and run against this HTML: <div id="content"> <p>This is some text.</p> <script type="text/javascript"> var test = true; </script> <p>This is some more text.</p> </div> my script would return (after a little whitespace cleanup): This is some text. var test = true; This is some more text. However, I need to disregard text nodes that occur within <script> elements. This is an excerpt of my current code: // get text content of all matching elements for (x = 0; x < selectors.length; x++) { matches = Sizzle(selectors[x], document); for (y = 0; y < matches.length; y++) { match = matches[y]; if (match.innerText) { // IE content += match.innerText + ' '; } else if (match.textContent) { // other browsers content += match.textContent + ' '; } } } It's a bit overly simplistic in that it just returns all text nodes within the element (and its descendants) that matches the provided selector. The solution I'm looking for would return all text nodes except for those that fall within script elements. It doesn't need to be especially high-performance, but I do need it to ultimately be cross-browser compatible. I'm assuming that I'll need to somehow loop through all children of the element that matches the selector and accumulate all text nodes other than ones within <script> elements; it doesn't look like there's any way to identify JavaScript once it's already rolled into the string accumulated from all of the text nodes. I can't use jQuery (for performance/bandwidth reasons), although you may have noticed that I do use its Sizzle selector engine, so jQuery's selector logic is available.   • Overriding Node Paths

    Can a PAGE override the priority of a NODE? I want to use the power of "Pages" to override my links from the nodes... For example: A nodes link is /content/202/hello-world I want to use my Panels to use the URL to create a "PAGE"... The panels can use the arguments from the URL to create a pretty cool page around the content of a node... So the PAGE path I've made is /content/%argument1/%title... I need the links created to the node from the node itself to go to this panel page and not to the content created by the node on its own... so i make the path alias do the same as the PAGE settings... /content/nid/title... A hand typed in link to this PAGE works fine when I dont have this as the path alias... It does exactly what I need... but as soon as I make this the Path Alias, it's like it goes to the single NODE before it goes to the PAGE... Anyone have any clues... Is there an order which Drupal looks for the correct URL? Im sure I have done this before. JD

  • Load external pages using jquery

    I'm trying to use jquery to load external pages into the current without reloading. Apparently everything works fine except of one little issue, I hope I'll be clear as much as possible. When I call the page 'info.php' it is loaded into the #content div. That's what the script supposed to do, the problem is that in the main page, which contains the script and the #content div, I already have some code that I want it to be executed when someone visit the page and not to be called from external page.
