  • Problem deploying VSTO office addin

    I'm having some issues deploying a visio addin. running the VSTO file works on my computer, but whenever i try and move it to any other user's computer it throws an error on deployment. I thought it might be a setting i'd set in the porject properties so i created an entirely new plugin project and set it to display a message box on startup. The error i'm getting is "the expected element "addin" was not found in the xml"

I've set the base sdk to "iPhone Device 4.0" and the Deployment target to "iPhone OS 3.0" but get this message: "_OBJC_CLASS_$_TTURLRequestModel", referenced from: _OBJC_CLASS_$_MockPhotoSource in MockPhotoSource.o What i have to do?   • ASP.Net Session_Start event not firing

    I have an ASP.Net 2.0 application in which the Session_Start event is not firing in my Global.asax file. Can anyone tell why this is happening and how I can get it working? The application worked fine on my Windows XP development machine, but stopped working when deployed to the server (Win Server 2003/IIS 6/ASP.Net 2.0). I'm not sure if this is relevant, but the server also hosts a SharePoint installation (WSS 3.0) which I know does change some settings at the default web site level.

Using an own WorkManager allows me to specify my own thread timeout (MaxThreadStuckTime) instead of adjusting the timeout for the whole business application.     I've referenced the MSMQ v3 Object Library in a VS2010 C# project only to get: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040154): Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {0188401C-247A-4FED-99C6-BF14119D7055} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)). I've registered the library the reference points to: regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\mqoa.dll What am I missing? Assuming this works, what will I have to do at deployment to ensure the app will run on other machines with MSMQ installed?

I know that both Word and Excel have a get_fileDialog method under Globals.ThisAddIn.Application.Application, but Outlook doesn't seem to. How do I launch an Outlook FileDialog? Is it even possible?

  • Where to find changes from iphone OS 3.0 to 3.1.3

    I've developed an app using the 3.1.3 SDK and I want to set the deployment target to OS 3.0. The app uses iPod functionality which I can't test on the Simulator so my question is: Is there somewhere I can find a list of the changes from 3.0 to 3.1.3 so I can check if anything might be broken on an OS 3.0 device? I've looked on Apple's website obviously but can't find anything. How do people normally test on old software releases?

On web I could find a lot many posts showing me ways to remove/hide buttons but none really worthwhile which could tell me how can I just disable an alrteady existing sharepoint button in my custom List type. e.g. Following code does remove the button instead of hiding.     Is there a list somewhere of all the output message numbers from VSDB Depolyments (VsDbCmd.exe from Visual Studio Database Edition)? For example, TSD01268 = normal action successful TSD01236 = missing referenced file (fail) TSD01237 = missing script file (fail) TSD00566 = deployment script generated to _ The way we are wrapping calls to VsDbCmd.exe means catching the %errorlevel% isn't always reliable so we also like to check the output for certain error conditions. It would be nice to see a consolidated list somewhere.

I tried the rar module within the maven-ear-plugin which was actually packaging this within the ear file and the rar plugin which seems to be used for packaging a rar. Currently I am using the antrun plugin to deploy the rar file and it's associated ds.xml, is there a different plugin to automate direct deployment.

    Hello, My application gets configured via a lot of key/values (let's say 30.000 for instance) I want to find the best deployment method for these configurations, knowing that I want to avoid DEFINEs to allow for runtime re-configuration. I have thought of - pre-compiling them into an array via a php file - pre-compiling them into a tmpfs sqlite database - pre-compiling them into a memcached db what are my options for the best random access time to these configuration (memory is not an issue) ?
