  • What is the logic behind IE7s Ctrl-Tab order?

    Using Ctrl+Tab in Internet Explorer 7 (on Windows XP) seems to follow no sequence that I can work out. Using Shift+Ctrl+Tab even jumps around with no clear logic in what tab order is being followed. It doesn't even work to the reverse as expected from using it in other programs, such as Firefox. Please explain to me how this key combo works in IE7 because I can't figure it out.

  • Easy way to switch default sound output device

    I want an easier way to change my default sound device from my sound card to my usb headset. Currently it takes a very precise right click, a left click, another right click, and two more left clicks. Ideally i could just have it swap with a shortcut key. (it was a little easier in XP but not by much.) A software solution is preferred, but I am open to suggestions that use hardware. I am running Windows 7 currently.

When ever I plug in my iPhone into my work computer Word 2007 decides it wants to start up. How do I make it stop? Is it a registry deal, or is there an windows interface that I'm unaware of.     I am a software developer, and I need to use old version of Borland/Embarcadero Delphi 7 for one software. The others ones are PHP software. I will have soon a 64 bits PC, running Linux, but I need a Windows 32 bits virtual machine for Delphi (because Delphi 7 is a bit old, and our clients still use Windows XP 32 bits systems). I already have a VM under virtualbox for my Delphi environment. Will it run fine, or will I have some problem?

So I downloaded the software from a different machine and tried copying it to my desktop. But during Copy, the software 'skype' got deleted from my pen drive itself. How is this done.?   • Remove default "open with" setting.

    I have managed to leave the make default option ticked when using the "open with" option in windows 7. I ideally want this removed so the OS can manage the file type as before. I can't find the menu to remove this anywhere, I'm sure it used to be in the folder options panel in XP. Thanks

  • Access Windows from Mac via Remote Dekstop Connection using hostname

    I'm using Snow Leopard with Remote Desktop Connection attempting to access a Windows XP machine on a home network. If I specify the Windows PC's hostname it won't connect. Only by specifying the IP address does it connect. It's the same issue when trying to ping the Windows machine - IP address works, hostname doesn't. Both machines are on the same subnet connecting with a wireless router. Is there way to get OSX to resolve the Windows PC by its hostname?

  • How to add an item to my "Send To" context menu

    On my old XP machine I would simply copy short-cuts into the %userprofile%\SendTo folder. On Windows-7 this folder is hidden, and I don't have access to it (which surprised me, it is MY SendTo folder after all). Is there an "approved" way of adding to my Send To menu that I'm unaware of? Or do I need extra permissions from our Sys Admin? Thanks BW

    just installed php 5.3.2 with apache 2.2. I am not able to restart apache because apache is not able to load the php5 module. The dll file php5apache2_2.dll exists, the path is correct in the conf file, still it doesn't load. My OS is windows XP 64 bit. What am I doing wrong? :(

    An application I use regularly is command-line based, and I would like to add the most used commands in the Windows Explorer's context menu that pops up when right-clicking on a file or folder. From what I read, a lot of programs in that menu are COM applications. Is there an easier way to add commands to the menu, as an alternative to opening a DOS box and typing commands? Ideally, it should work for XP, Vista, and 7.
