Need help in listbox multiple select

I have a list box, filled with countries. A user can select multiple countries in the list box. <asp:ListBox ID="lstRegion" style="width: 115px;size:3px" runat="server" onselectedindexchanged="lstRegion_SelectedIndexChanged" SelectionMode="Multiple" > <asp:ListItem Text="Please Select" Value="" Selected="True"></asp:ListItem> </asp:ListBox> I need all the selected values in the list box. I am using lstRegion.selectedValue but it is giving me only one value. I tried a different soultion, run a loop to the count of items in the lstRegion and find if the particular item has been selected or not. But this solution does'nt look good for me. Can any one suggest me how to get all selectedvalues in the list box

MySQL table with similar column info - HELP!!!

I have a DB with a table that is named "victim". The form that dumps the info into the table has room for two victims and therefore there is vic1_fname, vic1_lname, vic2_fname, vic2_lname, etc.. (business name, person first, person last, address, city, state, zip) a "1" and "2" of each. Now I want to search the DB and locate listed victims. Statistics help on 3 choices

I'm working on an Android app where, at one point, the user is asked to input whether something helped. Their options are 'Yes', 'No' and 'Don't Know'; or they could choose to ignore it. This is for multiple 'somethings' over a date range. A summary view for a date range shows the percentage of 'Yes', 'No' and 'Don't Know' entered for each 'something'. I'm also showing the 'Overall Effectiveness' as the percentage of 'Yes' inputs, which I realise is incorrect. I am thinking of changing that to 'Yes' minus 'No', but that doesn't address the 'Don't Know' inputs. How would I handle the data so that 'Overall Effectiveness' represents all 3 data inputs? So, for a 'something' which has a 'Yes' of 25%, a 'No' of 25% and a 'Don't Know' of 50%, would that be an 'Overall Effectiveness' of 0% ? Or would the 'Don't Know' affect that figure at all? As an additional to that, what graph type, other that Pie, would best display all 3 data?

Hi all , i was building an application that use local connection and listens to another application that also uses local connection , the second application is sort of remote control for the first app. it invokes function of the listening app from outside. anyway , everything works good on local host. BUT once i have put the listening app on a server and try to work it , it does not connect anymore. any idea's? Thanks

Need help managing MySql connections

I'm having trouble finding a clear explanation of connection pooling. I'm building an app using the .NET connector I downloaded from mysql.com. The app only needs one db connection but will be running simultaneously on about 6 machines on my network. Normally, I'd create the connection at startup and just leave it. But I'm seeing lots of posts from people who say that's bad practice. Also I'm concerned about timeouts. My app will run 24/7 and there may be extended periods without database activity. I'm leaning toward the following: using (MySqlConnection conn = new MySqlConnection(connStr)) { conn.Open(); // use connection } But I'm not sure I understand what's going on in the background. Is this actually closing the connection and allowing gc to kill the object, or is there a built in pooling behavior that preserves the object and redelivers it the next time I try to create one? I certainly don't want the app reauthenticating across the network every time I hit the database. Can anyone offer me some advise?

It displays: This web site needs a different Google Map API key. A new key can be generted at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/. Sorry but I've never used this application before. Do I have to just generate a new code in order to solve the problem? Or there are another problems?

I've created some code that will return a random row, (well, all the rows in a random order) But i'm assuming its VERY uneffiecent and is gonna be a problem in a big database... Anyone know of a better way? need help in positioning

I have it set up to only display 10 posts at a time, but my previous/next button isn't actually displaying the next or previous posts - it justs keeps displaying the same posts. I have an element on this web page I'm developing where I need my text to conform to the width of an image above it - whose width will always be different - think of captions. I have found numerous references to using a 1px table to force this width sizing behaviour. I am having problems, though with Safari and Chrome "seeing" this instruction - the text ends up as a marginally sized text box sitting behind the image. The problem, as I see it, has to do with the text and images sitting in div's nested within the table. I need the images to sit in a div because of some jquery script I'm using called cycle, which turns a group of images into a slideshow. The problem may have something to do with the script as well. In any case, I have tried a seeming infinite number of combination of floating left and clearing left on all all the divs, changing their positions and widths...nothing works. Anyone have any clues about how to broach this one? Xpath help function

Hi i have a document from which i am trying to extract a date. But the problem is within the node along with the date their is some text too. Something like <div class="postHeader"> Posted on July 20, 2009 9:22 PM PDT </div> From this tag i just want the date item not the Posted on text. something like ./xhtml:div[@class = 'postHeader'] is getting everything. and to be precise, the document i have is basically a nodelist of this elements for eg i will get 10 nodes of these elements with different date values but to be worse the problem is sometime inside these tags some random other tags also pops us like anchors etc. Can i write a universal expath which will just get the date out of the div tag?

Hello I have an array that looks like this, Array ( [cfi_title] => Mr [cfi_firstname] => Firstname [cfi_surname] => Lastname [cfi_email] => [email protected] [cfi_subscribe_promotional] => [cfi_tnc] => [friendsName] => Array ( [0] => Firstname 1 [1] => Firstname 2 [2] => Firstname 3 ) [friendsEmail] => Array ( [0] => [email protected] [1] => [email protected] [2] => [email protected] ) [submit_form] => Submit ) My dilema is I need to save the values from the friendsName and friendsEmail arrays into a database, I know I can loop through them but how can I send the matching data, for example I need to save [friendsName][0] and friendsEmail][0] on the same row of database? I know I need to use a foreach but I just cannot figure out the logic.
