• Class Problem (c++ and prolog)

  I am using the C++ interface to Prolog (the classes and methods of SWI-cpp.h). For working out a simple backtracking that john likes mary and emma and sara: likes(john, mary). likes(john, emma). likes(john, ashley). I can just do: { PlFrame fr; PlTermv av(2); av[0] = PlCompound("john"); PlQuery q("likes", av); while (q.next_solution()) { cout << (char*)av[1] << endl; } } This works in a separate code, so the syntax is correct. But I am also trying to get this simple backtracking to work within a class: class UserTaskProlog { public: UserTaskProlog(ArRobot* r); ~UserTaskProlog(); protected: int cycles; char* argv[1]; ArRobot* robot; void logTask(); }; This class works fine, with my cycles variable incrementing every robot cycle. I have my frame, my query, etc... The exact same code that backtracks and prints out mary and emma and sara. What am I missing here that I get an error message? Here is what I think the code should do: I expect mary and emma and sara to be printed out once, every time cycles increments. However, it opens SWI-cpp.h file automatically and points to class PlFrame. What is it trying to tell me? I don't see anything wrong with my PlFrame class declaration. Thanks,

  Is there any protection provided by kernel? Because when we tried to allocate memory using an malloc(), the kernel allowed to allocated around 124 MB of memory, and when we try to write into it, the kernel crashed. If there was protection of kernel memory area, this wouldn't have happened, I guess.

Must start with a-z (case insensitive) Must only contain a-z A-Z 0-9 . - I've put something together based on my limited knowledge and ran it through an online testing tool for a whole bunch of situations and the results were as I had hoped however when I place the pattern into my .NET code it doesn't match correctly. The pattern I am using is, [a-zA-Z][a-zA-Z0-9.\-]* Is this the correct pattern or am I barking up the wrong tree?   When i use new XStream().toXml(someObject); it returns following xml... <response> <status>SUCCESS</status> <isOwnershipVerified class="boolean">false</isOwnershipVerified> </response> and, when i use new XStream(new JsonHierarchicalStreamDriver()).toXml(someObject); it returns following json... {"response": { "status": "SUCCESS", "isOwnershipVerified": { "@class": "boolean""false"} }} Now, since i want to get rid of class attribute altogether (read it not to alias it with anything else, but to remove it) i use following code.   I'm trying to add some iPhone style scrolling inertia to a web page that will only be viewed on the iPad. I have the scrolling working in one direction (scrollLeft), but it doesn't work in the other direction. The intertia is the difference betweent he old moveX position and the latest moveX position when a touch ends. I then try to animate the scrollLeft property of a div that contains a bunch of thumbnails. As I've said, this works when scrolling to the left, but not when scrolling to the right. Now, one portion of the sprite needs to be repeated vertically. I want to know how to create the collision of the cars. I can't think of any idea. As you notice my agent has almost the same size as the patch (I set it to 0.9 so that you can distinguish the space between 2 cars when they are set next to each other and I round the coordinates so that they are set to the centre of the patch). In my accelerate procedure I set my agent to turn left, move 1, turn right in a loop. I want to know if there's a command that lets me make the agent jump from one lane to the other (to the patch next to it on its left) without making it turn and move. And last, if you notice the code i created the car checks the patch that is next to it on the lane on its left and the patch in front of it and the back of it. So if the 3 patches on its left are empty then it can change lane. The fuzzy part is that when i run the setup and I press Go sometimes (not always) the car goes out of the 3 basic lanes. To understand this I have 7 lanes. The middle one which I don't use which is lane 0. Then there are 3 lanes on top of lane 0 and 3 below it. So the code I am using refers to the upper 3 lanes where I set the cars but for some reason some of the cars change lane and go to lane -3 then -2 and so forth. If someone can give me a tip I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance. Tip: if you want to try this code in netlogo keep in mind that on interface tab I have 2 buttons one setup and one go as well as 3 sliders with names: number_of_cars , speed-up , slow-down.

• Problem retrieving multiple instances of the same asp.net session variable

  I'm having problems with retrieving multiple instances of a session variable from an InProc session state. In the following code I persist a simple BusinessObject into a session variable on the Page_Load event. On the click of a button I try to retrieve the object back into 2 new declared instances of the same BusinessObject. All works great until I change one of the properties in the first instance, it changes the second instance as well. Is this normal behaviour? I would have thought as these were new instances they wouldn’t demonstrate static behaviour? Any ideas where I'm going wrong?   I have VS 2008 Professional Edition. After the installation (which included SQL Server 2008), I decided to install SQL Server 2008 Express Edition with Advanced Tools (so I could get SQL Server Management Studio on it). So I uninstalled the SQL Express that came with VS 2008, and installed the standalone SQL Server Express 2008 version with advanced tools. However, When I try to logon onto SQL Server Management Studio using: .\SQLEXPRESS as Server name and Windows Authentication as the authentication, I get the following message: TITLE: Connect to Server ------------------------------ Cannot connect to .\SQLEXPRESS. ------------------------------ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server.
