  • Display date _and_ time in user locale

    I know I can use android.text.format.DateFormat.getDateFormat() to format my dates, and android.text.format.DateFormat.getTimeFormat to format my times, but how do I format a datetime? Similar to the getDateTimeInstance method from java.text.DateFormat. I'm currently just concatenating the result of both the getDateFormat and getTimeFormat's formatters, but I don't know which way around the user prefers to have their dates and times shown.

    Hello ! I am working right now with Zend Framework and I've created a Model_User_Row in app\models\User\Row.php.   • Preg_match class name from PHP file

    I have a script that recursively scans a directory pulling out class names from php files, and storing those classes names in an array. This is working nicely even through the rather large Zend Framework library folders. The issue is that classes that extend other classes are not being included in the array. Here is my current preg_match: if (preg_match("/class\s*(\w*)\s*\{/i",strip_comments(file_get_contents($file)),$matches)) $classes[] = $matches[1]; I know that the last \s* is not right; there should be something there that can catch "{" or " extends Some_Other_Class {" .

  • Best way to display a background with a pattern in an iPhone/iPad app

    Here's an example of the type of background image I'm talking about... Clearly, there's a pattern in it. My question is, if this were an iPad app and the background image was twice the size, would there be any significant benefits to taking advantage of this pattern by tiling the image? Or would it really make no difference in terms of performance and just be easier to load the entire image into a UIImageView? Thanks in advance for all your wisdom!

    I have a list of controls that I change based on an event. The controls are contained within a table that is created dynamically. I traverse through a set of controls and if it is a RadioButtonList or a DropDownList I do the following: CType(cntrl, ListControl).SelectedValue = val The radio buttons set just fine but the dropdown list doesn't reset. Can anyone tell me why. The initial table is created on the first Page Load and stored in memory. It's values are changed during the eventhandling and reposted to a MasterPage's content holder.

    Hi, I’m currently trying to develop a method to get a overview of all my different web templates I’ve created and (legally) downloaded over the years. I thought about a displaying them like Wordpress is previewing it’s templates view a small preview windows, displaying the concrete file with styles and everything. How to divide them into rows and columns and create AJAX modal window open on preview and pagination and so on I believe I can manage, but it is the concept itself about iterate over several folders then find all index.htm / index.html pages and displaying them. I’ve not worked very much with directories in PHP and the only references and code stumps I’ve found so far is just to list all the files in a certain directory like, what it contains. I would be really grateful if someone knew about a script, a function, snippet or just could get me a nudge in the right direction to create such a (probably simple) preview function. This is very frustrating... Can anyone answer why this might not be working?

    Hi there, Is there a way to change the name that displays on the AppStore, rather than the name associated with the credit card/apple ID associated with the developer programme? For example, if my name on my credit card was foo, and the name on the apple ID was foo, but I actually want the name displayed on the AppStore (i.e. next to my App's name and details) to be bar.   • Paperclip + ImageMagick on Windows 7: Image display fails when I add styles to attached_file in mode

    I'm working with Ruby on rails 2.3.8, NetBeans IDE. I've installed paperclip and I could show/save images successfully. Now, I've installed ImageMagick-6.6.2-4-Q16(for windows 7, 64bits). Until that moment, my model looked like this(and worked fine): has_attached_file :photo Now, after installing ImageMagick, when I add the :style line it fails: has_attached_file :photo, :styles => {:thumb => "100x100#", :small => "150x150>", :large => "400x400>" } and it throws the following error message when I try to upload an image: TypeError in ProfilesController#update backtrace must be Array of String The only thing I'm doing in the update action of that controller is the following: @profile.update_attributes(params[:profile]) @profile.update_attribute(:photo, params[:profile][:photo]) I've also installed miniMagick gem(because I read somewhere I had to do it). What am I missing?

  • MySQL - mysqldump --routines to only export 1 stored procedure (by name) and not every routine

    So we have a lot of routines that come out from exporting. We often need to get these out in CLI, make changes and bring them back in. Yes some of these are managed by different folks and a better change control is required but for now this is the situation. If I do mysqldump --routines --no-create-info --no-data --no-create-db then great I have 200 functions I need to go through a file to find just the one or set I want. Is there anyway to mysqldump routines that I want like there is for tables???

  • Adding tables to sql server result in Domain\user.name.tablename

    Our app uses migratordotnet to modify the backing SQL Server 2005 database. This works great 99% of the time but we are running into an issue. We have a client that is using and Active Directory group for sql server login and when new tables are added it creates them as Domain\login.table_name. What permissions are needed to be given to the AD group to add the tables as dbo.table_name? This does not happen in with all of our clients with similar configurations so I must be missing something.

  • Check for live Data Source Name Before proceeding

    Would it be ok to get a CF app to check for a valid database before proceeding to process that request? This is because there may be instances where the database server may be down or being upgraded, hence an error comes when a db dependant request is made. If there is no connection to the db server, the user can be safely redirected to a safe page. Or can cfcatch work? How can this check be done? Thank you.
