  • strange multiple files download - NSURLConnection

    - by Georg
hi all, I encounter a problem by following your comment. I would like to download different file at same time with different delegate: .h: NSMutableData *fileData; .m: NSString *imgfile = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"http://xxxx/01.jpg"]; NSURL *fileURL1 = [NSURL URLWithString:imgfile]; NSString *audiofile = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"http://xxxx/01.mp3"]; NSURL *fileURL2 = [NSURL URLWithString:audiofile]; NSURLRequest *request1 = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:fileURL1 cachePolicy:NSURLRequestUseProtocolCachePolicy timeoutInterval:10.0 ]; NSURLRequest *request2 = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:fileURL2 cachePolicy:NSURLRequestUseProtocolCachePolicy timeoutInterval:10.0 ]; NSArray *connections = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects: [[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:request1 delegate:self ], [[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:request2 delegate:self ], nil]; - (void)connection:(NSURLConnection *)connection didReceiveResponse:(NSURLResponse *)response { fileData = [[NSMutableData alloc] init]; } - (void)connection:(NSURLConnection *)connection didReceiveData:(NSData *)data { [fileData appendData:data]; } - (void)connection:(NSURLConnection *)connection didFailWithError:(NSError *)error { NSLog(@"Unable to fetch data"); } ok, the download process works, but, the file size of jpg and mp3 are incorrect, the only correct thing is the total file size (jpg+mp3), please could you have a look on the code, what is missing? Another question is, I put the file in a NSMutableArray, my question is, how to check which index of array is the correct file type (jpg and mp3)? because I need to save them to the device folder.

  • Using SSL and SslStream for peer to peer authentication?

    - by Scott Whitlock
I need to provide secure communication between various processes that are using TCP/IP sockets for communication. I want both authentication and encryption. Rather than re-invent the wheel I would really like to use SSL and the SslStream class and self-signed certificates. What I want to do is validate the remote process's certificate against a known copy in my local application. (There doesn't need to be a certificate authority because I intend for the certificates to be copied around manually). To do this, I want the application to be able to automatically generate a new certifiate the first time it is run. In addition to makecert.exe, it looks like this link shows a way to automatically generate self-signed certificates, so that's a start. I've looked at the AuthenticateAsServer and AuthenticateAsClient methods of SslStream. You can provide call-backs for verification, so it looks like it's possible. But now that I'm into the details of it, I really don't think it's possible to do this. Am I going in the right direction? Is there a better alternative? Has anyone done anything like this before (basically peer-to-peer SSL rather than client-server)?

  • UITableViewCellSeparatorStyleNone does not hide blue separator line when selecting in UITableView

    - by clozach
Before describing the problem, let me first point out that this is a distinct issue from this question. The Problem This screenshot was taken with a break set at tableView:didSelectRowAtIndexPath:, and as you can see in the simulator (far right of the image), there's a single-pixel blue line at the bottom of the selected cell. This is not the design asked for by the client, nor is it how this app used to behave: there should be no separator, even on selection. How I Got Here I'd initially designed this table view using custom UITableViewCell classes with corresponding nib (.xib) files and had no trouble with selections: the separator was hidden as desired. Predictably, scrolling was sluggish due to all the overhead from the view hierarchy, so I reworked the custom cells to use Loren Brichter's fast scrolling solution. Now scrolling is much faster, but I can't get rid of the separator for the life of me. What I've tried At the time of the screenshot above... the table view has "Separator [None]" in IB. the UIViewController that contains the table view has this line in viewDid Load: self.tableView.separatorStyle = UITableViewCellSeparatorStyleNone; As you can see in the screenshot, I inserted some unused lines to prove that separatorStyle is set as desired. Other testing confirms that tableView and self.tableView are equivalent pointers at that same breakpoint. I've also tried setting tableView.separatorColor to black and to clear, all with the same result: the cells look right until a selection is made.

  • Dismissing iPad UIPopoverController from within it's content controller

    - by joshholat
So I have a popover with a button in it. When that button is pushed, I want the popover to go away. It seems easy enough, but I can't figure it out for the life of me. The code I use to show the popover is below: AddCategoryViewController* content = [[AddCategoryViewController alloc] init]; UIPopoverController* aPopover = [[UIPopoverController alloc] initWithContentViewController:content]; aPopover.delegate = self; [content release]; // Store the popover in a custom property for later use. self.addCategoryPopover = aPopover; [aPopover release]; [addCategoryPopover presentPopoverFromBarButtonItem:sender permittedArrowDirections:UIPopoverArrowDirectionUp animated:YES]; Within the addcategoryviewcontroller, I have: -(IBAction)saveAddCategory:(id)sender { if (rootViewController == nil) rootViewController = [[RootViewController alloc] init]; [rootViewController.addCategoryPopover dismissPopoverAnimated:YES]; [rootViewController dismissPopover]; } Rootviewcontroller is where the popover is being created from. Unfortunately, neither of those methods work to dismiss it. any help?

  • How to create this MongoMapper custom data type?

    - by Kapslok
I'm trying to create a custom MongoMapper data type in RoR 2.3.5 called Translatable: class Translatable < String def initialize(translation, culture="en") end def languages end def has_translation(culture)? end def self.to_mongo(value) end def self.from_mongo(value) end end I want to be able to use it like this: class Page include MongoMapper::Document key :title, Translatable, :required => true key :content, String end Then implement like this: p = Page.new p.title = "Hello" p.title(:fr) = "Bonjour" p.title(:es) = "Hola" p.content = "Some content here" p.save p = Page.first p.languages => [:en, :fr, :es] p.has_translation(:fr) => true en = p.title => "Hello" en = p.title(:en) => "Hello" fr = p.title(:fr) => "Bonjour" es = p.title(:es) => "Hola" In mongoDB I imagine the information would be stored like: { "_id" : ObjectId("4b98cd7803bca46ca6000002"), "title" : { "en" : "Hello", "fr" : "Bonjour", "es" : "Hola" }, "content" : "Some content here" } So Page.title is a string that defaults to English (:en) when culture is not specified. I would really appreciate any help.

  • Tab bar controller inside a navigation controller, or sharing a navigation root view

    - by Daniel Dickison
I'm trying to implement a UI structured like in the Tweetie app, which behaves as so: the top-level view controller seems to be a navigation controller, whose root view is an "Accounts" table view. If you click on any account, it goes to the second level, which has a tab bar across the bottom. Each tab item shows a different list and lets you drill down further (the subsequent levels don't show the tab bar). So, this seems like the implementation hierarchy is: UINavigationController Accounts: UITableViewController UITabBarController Tweets: UITableViewController Detail view of a tweet/user/etc Replies: UITableViewController ... This seems to work[^1], but appears to be unsupported according to the SDK documentation for -pushViewController:animated: (emphasis added): viewController: The view controller that is pushed onto the stack. It cannot be an instance of tab bar controller. I would like to avoid private APIs and the like, but I'm not sure why this usage is explicitly prohibited even when it seems to work fine. Anyone know the reason? I've thought about putting the tab bar controller as the main controller, with each of the tabs containing separate navigation controllers. The problem with this is that each nav controller needs to share a single root view controller (namely the "Accounts" table in Tweetie) -- this doesn't seem to work: pushing the table controller to a second nav controller seems to remove it from the first. Not to mention all the book-keeping when selecting a different account would probably be a pain. How should I implement this the Right Way? [^1]: The tab bar controller needs to be subclassed so that the tab bar controller's navigation item at that level stays in sync with the selected tab's navigation item, and the individual tab's table controller's need to push their respective detail views to self.tabBarController.navigationController instead of self.navigationController.

  • How to use drag and drop within a UIScrollView

    - by user249488
I am trying to drag and drop UIViews within a UIScrollView. I'd like the UIScrollView to scroll if I drag a UIView so that it intersects the top or bottom of the ScrollView. If it touches the top, it should scroll up. If it touches the bottom, it should scroll down. Once the UIView is moved such that it is no longer intersecting the top or bottom, the scrolling should stop. The first approach I tried was to start an NSTimer whenever I detected that the UIView intersected with the top or bottom of the scrollview. The timer would scroll the UIScrollView bit by bit until it was invalidated. This resulted in very jerky scrolling, since there is no way to predict when the timers will fire. My current approach is to simply scroll all the way to the top or bottom of the ScrollView, like this: [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationCurve:UIViewAnimationCurveEaseInOut]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.0]; [self.parentScrollview setContentOffset:newOffset animated:NO]; [UIView commitAnimations]; In order to stop scrolling, I try to determine the position of the touch in the touchesMoved: delegate, and use that to calculate the contentOffset to use for the scrollView. The problem is, when I try to get the location in the view via [[touches anyObject] locationInView:self], I get the final end location, rather than the current location. I'm guessing that's because the contentOffset on the scrollView is set immediately. Is there a way to get the actual location of a touch in a situation like this? Or any other way to set the contentOffset when I interrupt the scrolling animation?

  • Core Animation problem on iPhone

    - by Mac
I'm new to iPhone development, and doing some experimentation with Core Animation. I've run into a small problem regarding the duration of the animation I'm attempting. Basically, Ive got a view with two subviews, and I'm trying to animate their opacity so that one fades in while the other fades out. Problem is, instead of a gradual fade in/out, the subviews simply switch instantly to/from full/zero opacity. I've tried to adjust the animation duration with CATransaction with no noticable effect. It's also not specific to animating opacity - animating position shows the same problem. The code I'm using (inside a method of the superview) follows: CALayer* oldLayer = ((UIView*) [[self subviews] objectAtIndex:0]).layer; CALayer* newLayer = ((UIView*) [[self subviews] objectAtIndex:1]).layer; [CATransaction begin]; [CATransaction setAnimationDuration:1.0f]; oldLayer.opacity = 0.0; newLayer.opacity = 1.0; [CATransaction commit]; Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be?

  • UIImage cropping on user selected rectangle in iphone?

    - by Rajendra Bhole
Hi, I developing an small application in which i want to crop the UIImage captured by imagePickerControllerSourceTypeOfCamera. The UIImage should crop by user selected crop area or cropped rectangle. That means first user capture the image from the camera. Then on captured image the user selected an rectangle having color gray. That image(image data) should crop from that gray colored rectangle. My under develop code is as follows. -(IBAction) getPhoto:(id)sender { UIImagePickerController* imagePickerController = [[UIImagePickerController alloc] init]; imagePickerController.delegate = self; if((UIButton *) sender == btnphotoAlbum) { imagePickerController.sourceType = UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypePhotoLibrary; } else { imagePickerController.sourceType = UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera; } imagePickerController.allowsImageEditing = YES; //imagePickerController.toolbar.barStyle =UIBarStyleBlackOpaque; //UIToolbar *toolBar=[[UIToolbar alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 20, 320)]; //imagePickerController. [self presentModalViewController:imagePickerController animated:YES]; } (void)imagePickerController:(UIImagePickerController *)picker didFinishPickingImage:(UIImage *)image editingInfo:(NSDictionary *)editingInfo { UIImage *selectedImage = image; UIImage *originalImage = [editingInfo objectForKey:@"UIImagePickerControllerOriginalImage"]; NSValue *cropRect = [editingInfo objectForKey:UIImagePickerControllerCropRect]; CGRect theRect = [cropRect CGRectValue]; //captureImage.image =[info objectForKey:@"UIImagePickerControllerOriginalImage"]; [picker dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; } How i crop the image?

  • Scrapy issue with iTunes' AppStore

    - by Eric
I am using Scrapy to fetch some data from iTunes' AppStore database. I start with this list of apps: http://itunes.apple.com/us/genre/mobile-software-applications/id36?mt=8 In the following code I have used the simplest regex which targets all apps in the US store. from scrapy.contrib.linkextractors.sgml import SgmlLinkExtractor from scrapy.contrib.spiders import CrawlSpider, Rule class AppStoreSpider(CrawlSpider): domain_name = 'itunes.apple.com' start_urls = ['http://itunes.apple.com/us/genre/mobile-software-applications/id6015?mt=8'] rules = ( Rule(SgmlLinkExtractor(allow='itunes\.apple\.com/us/app'), 'parse_app', follow=True, ), ) def parse_app(self, response): .... SPIDER = AppStoreSpider() When I run it I receive the following: [itunes.apple.com] DEBUG: Crawled (200) <GET http://itunes.apple.com/us/genre/mobile-software-applications/id6015?mt=8> (referer: None) [itunes.apple.com] DEBUG: Filtered offsite request to 'itunes.apple.com': <GET http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bloomberg/id281941097?mt=8> As you can see, when it starts crawling the first page it says: "Filtered offsite request to 'itunes.apple.com'". and then the spider stops.. it also returns this message: [ScrapyHTTPPageGetter, client] /usr/lib/python2.5/cookielib.py:1577: exceptions.UserWarning: cookielib bug! • Cocoa NSStream works with SSL, with socks5, but not at the same time

    - by Evan D
Upon connecting (to an FTP, at first without SSL) I run: NSArray *objects = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"proxy.ip", [NSNumber numberWithInt:1080], NSStreamSOCKSProxyVersion5, @"user", @"pass", nil]; NSArray *keys = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:NSStreamSOCKSProxyHostKey, NSStreamSOCKSProxyPortKey, NSStreamSOCKSProxyVersionKey, NSStreamSOCKSProxyUserKey, NSStreamSOCKSProxyPasswordKey, nil]; NSDictionary *proxyDictionary = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjects:objects forKeys:keys]; [iStream retain]; [iStream setDelegate:self]; [iStream scheduleInRunLoop:[NSRunLoop currentRunLoop] forMode:NSDefaultRunLoopMode]; [iStream setProperty:proxyDictionary forKey:NSStreamSOCKSProxyConfigurationKey]; [iStream open]; same for iStream. This allows me to connect succesfully through a socks5 proxy. If I continue without setProperty:proxyDictionary... (socks5 disabled) I would tell the server to switch to SSL, and then successfully apply these settings to the in/output streams, thus giving me a SSL connection: NSMutableDictionary *settings = [NSMutableDictionary dictionaryWithCapacity:1]; [settings setObject:(NSString *)NSStreamSocketSecurityLevelTLSv1 forKey:(NSString *)kCFStreamSSLLevel]; // to allow selfsigned certificates: [settings setObject:[NSNumber numberWithBool:YES] forKey:(NSString *)kCFStreamSSLAllowsAnyRoot]; [iStream retain]; [iStream setDelegate:self]; [iStream scheduleInRunLoop:[NSRunLoop currentRunLoop] forMode:NSDefaultRunLoopMode]; CFReadStreamSetProperty((CFReadStreamRef)iStream, kCFStreamPropertySSLSettings, (CFTypeRef)settings); [iStream setProperty:NSStreamSocketSecurityLevelTLSv1 forKey:NSStreamSocketSecurityLevelKey]; same for oStream. All of which works fine if I disable socks5. If I turn it on (line 7 in the first snippit) I lose contact when applying the SSL settings. If I had to guess, I'd think it's losing some properties when applying (ssl) "settings"? Please help :) Evan

  • array retain question

    - by Cosizzle
Hello, im fairly new to objective-c, most of it is clear however when it comes to memory managment I fall a little short. Currently what my application does is during a NSURLConnection when the method -(void)connectionDidFinishLoading:(NSURLConnection *)connection is called upon I enter a method to parse some data, put it into an array, and return that array. However I'm not sure if this is the best way to do so since I don't release the array from memory within the custom method (method1, see the attached code) Below is a small script to better show what im doing .h file #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> @interface memoryRetainTestViewController : UIViewController { NSArray *mainArray; } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSArray *mainArray; @end .m file #import "memoryRetainTestViewController.h" @implementation memoryRetainTestViewController @synthesize mainArray; // this would be the parsing method -(NSArray*)method1 { // ???: by not release this, is that bad. Or does it get released with mainArray NSArray *newArray = [[NSArray alloc] init]; newArray = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"apple",@"orange", @"grapes", "peach", nil]; return newArray; } // this method is actually // -(void)connectionDidFinishLoading:(NSURLConnection *)connection -(void)method2 { mainArray = [self method1]; } // Implement viewDidLoad to do additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib. - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; } - (void)didReceiveMemoryWarning { // Releases the view if it doesn't have a superview. [super didReceiveMemoryWarning]; // Release any cached data, images, etc that aren't in use. } - (void)viewDidUnload { mainArray = nil; // Release any retained subviews of the main view. // e.g. self.myOutlet = nil; } - (void)dealloc { [mainArray release]; [super dealloc]; } @end

  • Presenting UINavigationController modally -- problem setting up tool and nav bar items in root view controller viewDidLoad

    - by Bogatyr
In my iOS app I'm creating and presenting a UINavigationController modally like so: MyViewController *myvc = [[[MyViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"MyViewController" bundle:nil] autorelease]; UINavigationController *navVC = [[[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:myvc] autorelease]; [self presentModalViewController:navVC animated:YES]; In the MyViewController viewDidLoad I'm creating and setting toolbar items for the navigation controller's toolbar, like so: self.navigationController.toolbar.items = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:(items...), nil]; the problem I'm having is that the items don't show up. If instead I call a method from MyViewController's viewDidLoad method that adds the toolbar items via performSelector:withObject:afterDelay:0, then it works perfectly. So there's obviously some race condition going on here with the initial presentation of the UINavigationController, initialization of its toolbar/navbar, and the initialization of the nav bar's specified initial root view controller. I verified in the debugger that the root view controller's viewDidLoad is called after the UINavigationController's viewDidLoad method. In fact, the root view controller's viewDidLoad method is not called until presentModalViewController: is called, and the UINavigationController's viewDidLoad is called within initWithRootViewController, so doesn't that imply that the UINavigationController object should be "all ready to go", including its nav bar and toolbars? I thought at first that the navigation controller's toolbar object may not exist yet at MyViewController's viewDidLoad time, but it clearly does. At least, NSLog shows that it is not nil during MyViewController's viewDidLoad method. In fact, the UINavigationController's toolbar object is identical at both times: in the root view controller's viewDidLoad, and in the "setupToolbar" method that I called with performSelector:withObject:afterDelay, so it's not getting "re-initialized" somehow. So, what's going on here? Why aren't my toolbar modifications "sticking" in MyViewController's viewDidLoad, and why does performing them in the next iteration of the runloop (performSelector:withObject:afterDelay:0) make it work? What is the "right" way of setting up initial navbar / toolbar items in code from the rootViewController of the UINavigationController?

  • Can't get Secondary UITableViewController to display inside a UITabBarController

    - by Paul Johnston
I've programmatically created a UITabBarController that is loaded in my App Delegate like this: - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application { tabBarController = [[UITabBarController alloc] init]; myTableViewController = [[MyTableViewController alloc] init]; UINavigationController *tableNavController = [[[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:myTableViewController] autorelease]; myTableViewController.title = @"Tab 1"; [myTableViewController release]; mySecondTableViewController = [[MySecondTableViewController alloc] init]; UINavigationController *table2NavController = [[[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:mySecondTableViewController] autorelease]; mySecondTableViewController.title = @"Tab 2"; [mySecondTableViewController release]; tabBarController.viewControllers = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:tableNavController, table2NavController, nil]; [window addSubview:tabBarController.view]; [window makeKeyAndVisible]; } Now the issue I have is that I can get into the views no problem, but when I try and click onto any item in the Table View, I can't get a secondary table view to appear in any tab. The tabs work absolutely fine, just the secondary views. I'm using the code below in my myTableViewController to run when selecting a specific row (the code reaches the HELP line, and crashes)... - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { NSUInteger row = [indexPath row]; // this gets the correct view controller from a list of controllers SecondaryViewController *svc = [self.controllers objectAtIndex:row]; /*** HELP NEEDED WITH THIS LINE ***/ [self.navigationController pushViewController:svc animated:YES]; } Simply put, I'm trying to switch views to the new view controller whilst keeping the tabs available and using the navigation to go back and forth (like in the iTunes App). Any help appreciated. Thanks

  • iPhone SDK - (void)viewDidLoad { } - Show Progress

    - by Hank Brekke
    I have a long - (void)viewDidLoad { } function that uses the internet to load a page, and whenever the application loads the URL, the screen is black. I have a UIActivityIndicator setup to show that the address is loading, but I don't know how to prevent it from seeming as if the application is not responding, and I don't want to show the network activity indicator [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setNetworkActivityIndicatorVisible:YES]; because the screen will still be black, just with a loader in the top corner. My code is below: - (void)viewDidLoad { NSUserDefaults *defaults = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; email.text = [defaults objectForKey:@"mom_email"]; pass.text = [defaults objectForKey:@"mom_pass"]; if (email.text != nil && pass.text != nil) { [self login:loginBtn]; } } - (IBAction)login:(id)sender { [email resignFirstResponder]; [pass resignFirstResponder]; [loader startAnimating]; // Does nothing though NSString *em = (NSString *)CFURLCreateStringByAddingPercentEscapes(NULL,(CFStringRef)email.text,NULL,(CFStringRef)@"!*'();:@&=+$,/?%#[]",kCFStringEncodingUTF8); NSString *ps = (NSString *)CFURLCreateStringByAddingPercentEscapes(NULL,(CFStringRef)pass.text,NULL,(CFStringRef)@"!*'();:@&=+$,/?%#[]",kCFStringEncodingUTF8); NSURL *url = [[NSURL alloc] initWithScheme:@"http" host:@"localhost" path:[[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"/app/login.php?email=%@&pass=%@", em, ps]]; NSURLRequest *request = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url]; NSData *data = [NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest:request returningResponse:nil error:nil]; NSString *loginResult = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:data encoding:NSASCIIStringEncoding]; [loader stopAnimating]; NSRange range = [loginResult rangeOfString:@"1"]; if (range.location != NSNotFound) { [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; // Doesn't do anything if function called from viewDidLoad } }

  • Speed Problem - Animating Height Change in UITableView

    - by Travis
So I have a huge UITableView, between 1000 and 3000 rows. Each row needs to, when selected, expand to include several buttons. I do this by rendering the buttons below the cell, enabling clipping on the cells, and then just animating a change in height when they're selected. So I have heightForRowAtIndex checking if the row is selected, if so it gives a different height value. To do the animation, I have the following: - (void) tableView: (UITableView *) tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath: (NSIndexPath *) indexPath { [self.tableView beginUpdates]; [self.tableView endUpdates]; } This all works wonderfully until I get around 1000 rows, at which point the animations still work and are still quite smooth, but they lag by a second or two. My first thought was a memory problem, but everything is being autoreleased and upon inspection my application isn't even receiving a memory warning message. So...any ideas on what this might be and how I can erase this lag between selection and change in cell height? Oh, and one last thing - right now I'm testing this on the iPad, so if this is a problem there, I expect it to be worse on our other target devices (iPhone and iPod).

What am I doing wrong?? Many thanks in advance

  • CGContext - PDF margin

    - by Manoj Khaylia
Hi All I am showing PDF content on a view using this code using Quartz Sample // PDF page drawing expects a Lower-Left coordinate system, so we flip the coordinate system // before we start drawing. CGContextTranslateCTM(context, 0.0, self.bounds.size.height); CGContextScaleCTM(context, 1.0, -1.0); // Grab the first PDF page CGPDFPageRef page = CGPDFDocumentGetPage(pdf, pageNo); // We're about to modify the context CTM to draw the PDF page where we want it, so save the graphics state in case we want to do more drawing CGContextSaveGState(context); // CGPDFPageGetDrawingTransform provides an easy way to get the transform for a PDF page. It will scale down to fit, including any // base rotations necessary to display the PDF page correctly. CGAffineTransform pdfTransform = CGPDFPageGetDrawingTransform(page, kCGPDFCropBox, self.bounds, 0, true); // And apply the transform. CGContextConcatCTM(context, pdfTransform); // Finally, we draw the page and restore the graphics state for further manipulations! CGContextDrawPDFPage(context, page); CGContextRestoreGState(context); Using this all works fine I want to set the margin for the PDF context, bydefault it showing 50 px margin in every side.. I have tried CGContext methods but not got the appropriate one. Can any body help me regarding this Thanks Monaj

This is are my models i want to relate. i want for collection to appear in the form of occurrence. class Collection(models.Model): id = models.AutoField(primary_key=True, null=True) code = models.CharField(max_length=100, null=True, blank=True) address = models.CharField(max_length=100, null=True, blank=True) collection_name = models.CharField(max_length=100) def __unicode__(self): return self.collection_name class Meta: db_table = u'collection' ordering = ('collection_name',) class Occurrence(models.Model): id = models.AutoField(primary_key=True, null=True) reference = models.IntegerField(null=True, blank=True, editable=False) collection = models.ForeignKey(Collection, null=True, blank=True, unique=True), modified = models.DateTimeField(null=True, blank=True, auto_now=True) class Meta: db_table = u'occurrence' Every time i go to check the Occurrence object i get this error TemplateSyntaxError at /admin/hotiapp/occurrence/ Caught an exception while rendering: column occurrence.collection_id does not exist LINE 1: ...LECT "occurrence"."id", "occurrence"."reference", "occurrenc.. And every time i try to add a new occurrence object i get this error ProgrammingError at /admin/hotiapp/occurrence/add/ column occurrence.collection_id does not exist LINE 1: SELECT (1) AS "a" FROM "occurrence" WHERE "occurrence"."coll... What am i doing wrong? or how does ForeignKey works?

  • parsed xml file: skip creation if blank?

    - by GoodGets
This could be a HappyMapper specific question, but I don't think so. In my app, users can upload their blog subscriptions (via an OPML file), which I parse and add to their profile. The only problem is during the parsing, or more specifically the creation of each subscription, I can't figure out how to skip over entries that are just "labels". Since OPML files allow you to label your blogs, or organize them into folders, this is my problem. The actual blog subscriptions and their labels both have "outline" tags. <outline text="Rails" > <outline title="Katz Got Your Tongue?" text="Katz Got Your Tongue?" htmlUrl="http://yehudakatz.com" type="rss" xmlUrl="http://feeds.feedburner.com/KatzGotYourTongue" /> After parsing, I create each feed via a method call inside of the HappyMapper module def create_feed Feed.new( :feed_htmlUrl => self.htmlUrl, :feed_title => self.title, ... But how do I prevent it from creating new "feeds" for those outline tags that are just tags? (i.e. those that don't have an htmlUrl?)

  • Why does Facebook iOS dialog for feed publish disappear after login?

    - by Mason G. Zhwiti
    I'm trying to use the Facebook iOS "feed" dialog call to allow my app's user to share something on their Facebook wall. When the facebook app is not installed, it attempts to let them authenticate within the app (presumably using a web view). The issue is that this dialog just disappears once they authenticate. I was expecting the web view to return to the "feed" sharing view. How do I detect that they authenticated so that I can re-open the feed dialog? I've added fbDidLogin to my app delegate, but it's not being called. (I wasn't sure if this would normally be called or not, but I read several people recommending this.) SBJSON *jsonWriter = [SBJSON new]; // The action links to be shown with the post in the feed NSArray* actionLinks = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:[NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys: @"More Videos",@"name",@"http://www.example.com/",@"link", nil], nil]; NSString *actionLinksStr = [jsonWriter stringWithObject:actionLinks]; NSMutableDictionary* params = [NSMutableDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys: @"Test Caption", @"caption", @"Test Description", @"description", @"https://s3.amazonaws.com/example/images/test.png", @"source", self.video.blogLink, @"link", @"01234567890123", @"app_id", actionLinksStr, @"actions", nil]; [delegate facebook].sessionDelegate = delegate; [[delegate facebook] dialog:@"feed" andParams:params andDelegate:self];

  • Schedule multiple events with NSTimer?

    - by AWright4911
    I have a schedule cache stored in a pList. For the example below, I have a schedule time of April 13, 2010 2:00PM and Aril 13, 2010 2:05PM. How can I add both of these to a queue to fire on their own? item 0 -Hour --14 -Minute --00 -Month --04 -Day --13 -Year --2010 item 1 -Hour --14 -Minute --05 -Month --04 -Day --13 -Year --2010 this is how I am attempting to schedule multiple events to fire at specific date / time. -(void) buildScheduleCache { MPNotifyViewController *notifier = [MPNotifyViewController alloc] ; [notifier setStatusText:@"Rebuilding schedule cache, this will only take a moment."]; [notifier show]; NSCalendarDate *now = [NSCalendarDate calendarDate]; NSFileManager *manager = [[NSFileManager defaultManager] autorelease]; path = @"/var/mobile/Library/MobileProfiles/Custom Profiles"; theProfiles = [manager directoryContentsAtPath:path]; myPrimaryinfo = [[NSMutableArray arrayWithCapacity:6] retain]; keys = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"Profile",@"MPSYear",@"MPSMonth",@"MPSDay",@"MPSHour",@"MPSMinute",nil]; for (NSString *profile in theProfiles) { plistDict = [[[NSMutableDictionary alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@/%@",path,profile]] autorelease]; [myPrimaryinfo addObject:[NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjects: [NSArray arrayWithObjects: [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",profile], [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",[plistDict objectForKey:@"MPSYear"]], [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",[plistDict objectForKey:@"MPSMonth"]], [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",[plistDict objectForKey:@"MPSDay"]], [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",[plistDict objectForKey:@"MPSHour"]], [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",[plistDict objectForKey:@"MPSMinute"]], nil]forKeys:keys]]; profileSched = [NSCalendarDate dateWithYear:[plistDict objectForKey:@"MPSYear"] month:[plistDict objectForKey:@"MPSMonth"] day:[plistDict objectForKey:@"MPSDay"] hour:[plistDict objectForKey:@"MPSHour"] minute:[plistDict objectForKey:@"MPSMinute"] second:01 timeZone:[now timeZone]]; [self rescheduleTimer]; } NSString *testPath = @"/var/mobile/Library/MobileProfiles/Schedules.plist"; [myPrimaryinfo writeToFile:testPath atomically:YES]; } -(void) rescheduleTimer { timer = [[NSTimer alloc] initWithFireDate:profileSched interval:0.0f target:self selector:@selector(theFireEvent) userInfo:nil repeats:YES]; NSRunLoop *runLoop = [NSRunLoop currentRunLoop]; [runLoop addTimer:timer forMode:NSDefaultRunLoopMode]; }

  • Trying to grab just absolute links from a webpage using BeautifulSoup

    - by Kevin
I am reading the contents of a webpage using BeautifulSoup. What I want is to just grab the <a href> that start with http://. I know in beautifulsoup you can search by the attributes. I guess I am just having a syntax issue. I would imagine it would go something like. page = urllib2.urlopen("http://www.linkpages.com") soup = BeautifulSoup(page) for link in soup.findAll('a'): if link['href'].startswith('http://'): print links But that returns: Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 2, in <module> File "C:\Python26\lib\BeautifulSoup.py", line 598, in __getitem__ return self._getAttrMap()[key] KeyError: 'href' Any ideas? Thanks in advance. EDIT This isn't for any site in particular. The script gets the url from the user. So internal link targets would be an issue, that's also why I only want the <'a'> from the pages. If I turn it towards www.reddit.com, it parses the beginning links and it gets to this: <a href="http://www.reddit.com/top/">top</a> <a href="http://www.reddit.com/saved/">saved</a> Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 2, in <module> File "C:\Python26\lib\BeautifulSoup.py", line 598, in __getitem__ return self._getAttrMap()[key] KeyError: 'href'

  • Custom Keyboard (iPhone), UIKeyboardDidShowNotification and UITableViewController

    - by Pascal
On an iPhone App, I've got a custom keyboard which works like the standard keyboard; it appears if a custom textfield becomes first responder and hides if the field resigns first responder. I'm also posting the Generic UIKeyboardWillShowNotification, UIKeyboardDidShowNotification and their hiding counterparts, like follows: NSMutableDictionary *userInfo = [NSMutableDictionary dictionaryWithCapacity:5]; [userInfo setObject:[NSValue valueWithCGPoint:self.center] forKey:UIKeyboardCenterBeginUserInfoKey]; [userInfo setObject:[NSValue valueWithCGPoint:shownCenter] forKey:UIKeyboardCenterEndUserInfoKey]; [userInfo setObject:[NSValue valueWithCGRect:self.bounds] forKey:UIKeyboardBoundsUserInfoKey]; [userInfo setObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:UIViewAnimationCurveEaseOut] forKey:UIKeyboardAnimationCurveUserInfoKey]; [userInfo setObject:[NSNumber numberWithDouble:thisAnimDuration] forKey:UIKeyboardAnimationDurationUserInfoKey]; [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] postNotificationName:UIKeyboardWillShowNotification object:nil userInfo:userInfo]; This code is working and I use it in UIViewController subclasses. Now since iPhone OS 3.0, UITableViewController automatically resizes its tableView when the system keyboards show and hide. I'm only now compiling against 3.0 and I thought that the controller should also resize the table if my custom keyboard appears, since I'm posting the same notification. However it doesn't. The table view controller is set as the delegate of the input fields. Does anyone have an idea why this might be the case? Has anyone implemented something similar successfully? I have standard input fields along the custom ones, so if the user changes the fields the standard keyboard hides and the custom one shows. It would be beneficial if the tableView didn't resize to full height and I didn't have to resize it back with a custom method.
