  • Custom language - FOR loop in a clojure interpeter?

    I have a basic interpreter in clojure. Now i need to implement for (initialisation; finish-test; loop-update) { statements } Implement a similar for-loop for the interpreted language. The pattern will be: (for variable-declarations end-test loop-update do statement) The variable-declarations will set up initial values for variables.The end-test returns a boolean, and the loop will end if end-test returns false. The statement is interpreted followed by the loop-update for each pass of the loop.     I wrote up some instructions for freezing a non-native gem in a Rails app today: install the gem sudo gem install fastercsv put the reference in the environment.rb (I think this is only necessary to do unpack with no GEM specified) config.gem "fastercsv" unpack the gem rake gems:unpack GEM=fastercsv uninstall the gem sudo gem uninstall fastercsv I know this must be the long way around: how can I unpack the gem without installing it first? Also: What's the difference between rake gems:unpack GEM=fastercsv and gem unpack fastercsv?

Actually i dont want to test my bundles in Netbeans environment so i copy the jar file to the OSGi container directory and install it from command line. But when i want to see its headers from OSGi console, i see a lot of Netbeans related unnecessary stuff. Is it possible to edit the contents of the manifest file in Netbeans?

  • New SSD, is the MBR broken? DISK BOOT FAILURE

    I've been running Windows 7 on a WD 500gb SATA single drive, single partition setup for some time with no issues. I've just installed a new Kingston V Series 64gb SSD and performed a clean install of Win7 to it, deleting the partitions on the 500gb and using that as a data drive. All was well for a few reboots but then I started to get "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER" messages. If I put the Win7 install DVD back in the drive it boots fine. Tried a clean install again, after replacing SATA cables and swapping SATA ports, with a complete partition wipe of both drives. Again, rebooted fine a few times then back with the "DISK BOOT FAILURE" error. Looked on the web and found some discussions about it so I then started from scratch again. This time I wiped the MBR on both drives using MBRWork, disconnected the 500gb and reinstalled to the SSD. Removed the install DVD and installed all the drivers which involved many reboots, all with no problem. To make sure I also did a few cold boots as well. Reconnected the 500gb, initialised, partitioned and formatted it. Copied data to it and did some more reboots and shutdowns. All was ok. Then out of the blue comes another "DISK BOOT FAILURE" and again, if the Win7 install DVD is in the drive it boots fine. So, is the SSD a bad'un? TIA UPDATE: It was a BIOS issue! I found a hidden away option for HDD boot order, which was separate from the usual HDD/CDRom/FDD boot order option. The WD was set to boot before the SSD... Swapped them round and all is well. Still don't understand how it worked at first though... Thanks Solaris

  • Is there any way to disable Erubis from printing "** Erubis 2.6.5" when starting the Rails environme

    I have several frequent Cron jobs that are run via Rake and the output of those jobs are e-mailed (via a MAILTO). Due to the fact that these tasks load the Rails environment (which includes Erubis) they always prints out "** Erubis 2.6.5" on startup. This means that an e-mail is always generated since Cron receives output. Is there any way to configure Erubis to cease printing this startup message to the console?

    Imagine you have an object foo that you saved as saved.file.rda as follows: foo <- 'a' save(foo, file='saved.file.rda') Suppose you load saved.file.rda into an environment with multiple objects but forgot the name of the object that is in saved.file.rda. Is there a way in R to determine that name? You can do it the following way, which seems a little clunky: bar <- load('saved.file.rda') eval(parse(text=bar)) # this will pull up the object that was in saved.file.rda However, is there a better way of doing this?

    If I wanna authenticate windows accounts to AD when a user browses to an apache-running site on a Linux server, here are the usual suspects:   * mod_ntlm (which I used in a distant past) - last update on 2003 * mod_auth_ntlm_winbind - last update on 04/2007 * mod_auth_kerb - last update on 12/2008 No luck getting any of those to work with a recent, fully patched, windows 2000 AD server.   • How do I install Windows XP from an external hard drive?

    I'm trying to install Windows XP Media Center edition by copying the install disc image to an external hard drive and making it bootable. Has anyone had success getting this to work on systems that can't boot from dvds/floppies? I'm basically working from this guide: http://www.dl4all.com/other/21495-install-windows-xp-from-usb.html Update - 2/15/10 I used WinToFlash on my laptop to format my usb hard drive from my install dvd (Windows XP Media Center Version 2005 with Update Rollup 2 from Dell) and selected "boot from usb device" at the boot selection menu and the windows installer started up. However, an error message came up saying that: "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer." Originally on my desktop machine, I had 1 150Gb SATA drive, and 2 150 Gb SATA drives striped together using RAID. From the hard drive diagnostics, it appears the windows install on one of the RAIDed disks lost a block and this has been preventing me from booting up. I replaced the standalone drive with a new 1Tb SATA drive and disconnected the other hard drives. Could the message be indicating a virus is on the unformatted drive? or the usb hard drive? Update 2 - 2/15/10 The external hard drive didn't find any viruses when scanned. I tried installing Vista Home Premium 64bit SP1 using WinToFlash and that installed successfully onto the new 1Tb drive. WinToFlash was really easy to use and helped a lot, thanks!

  • Exploded (unpacked) EAR vs. Packaged EAR file?

    In my office we use exploded EAR's (and inside them exploded WAR directories) for our test environments, and then a packaged one for production. I've yet to find a good explanation of the reason behind this though. I understand it's easier from a deployment perspective to push out a single file during builds, but it prevents us from doing things like property file changes without doing complete rebuilds (we could skip the compiles, but our environment currently binds the compile and jar processes together). What are the major advantages / disadvantages between these two configurations?

    Hello, i want to ask if there is any way to generate the shortest path from node A to node B without generating the shortest paths to all the other nodes (stop when node B is in the examined set) with A-star in QuickGraph. At first I thought it was maven's fault but it adds spring and other libraries succesfully.     Hi A Flash program is connecting to WCF web service hosted on a server without anti-virus and without firewall and windows server 2003 64 bit environment. The flash return Connection failed message When I sniffer it I found that the Flash program cannot find these requests, http://IP:2805/BLL.svc?xsd=xsd1 http://IP:2805/BLL.svc?xsd=xsd0 The strange thing is that the service work fine with asp.net. also the same service deployed on another server, just work fine!!     How can I set Java 1.6 to be the default for my MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo with OS X 10.5.8? I have installed the latest software update, and dragged the Java SE 6 64-bit choice to the top in the "Java Preferences" application (and even rebooted), but still, on the command line, java -version responds with: java version "1.5.0_24" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_24-b02-357-9M3165) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_24-149, mixed mode, sharing) Any ideas?
