  • Need help with wp_rewrite in a WordPress Plugin

    - by Brad
    Ok, I've got this code that I've been using to spit out news to an application of mine. It was working until today. I've cutout all the logic in the following code to make it simpiler. But it should "WORK" Can someone help me fix this code to where it works, and is done right? I know it's hacked together ,but it didn't seem to have any problems until today. I have not updated anything, don't know what the deal is. Plugin Name: MyPlugin Example Version: 1.0.1 if ( ! class_exists("MyPlugin") ) { class MyPlugin { var $db_version = "1.0"; //not used yet function init() { //Nothing as of now. } function activate() { global $wp_rewrite; $this-flush_rewrite_rules(); } function pushoutput( $id ) { $output-out =' The output worked!'; $this-output( $output ); } function output( $output ) { ob_start(); ob_end_clean(); header( 'Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate' ); header( 'Expires: Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT' ); header( 'Content-type: application/json' ); echo json_encode( $output ); //Must encode this... } function flush_rewrite_rules() { global $wp_rewrite; $wp_rewrite-flush_rules(); } function createRewriteRules( $rewrite ) { global $wp_rewrite; $new_rules = array( 'MyPlugin/(.+)' = 'index.php?MyPlugin=' . $wp_rewrite-preg_index(1) ); if ( ! is_array($wp_rewrite-rules) ) { $wp_rewrite-rules = array(); } $wp_rewrite-rules = $new_rules + $wp_rewrite-rules; return $wp_rewrite; } function add_query_vars( $qvars ) { $qvars[] = 'MyPlugin'; return $qvars; } function template_redirect_intercept() { global $wp_query; if ( $wp_query-get('MyPlugin') ) { $id = $wp_query-query_vars['MyPlugin']; $this-pushoutput( $id ); exit; } } } } if ( class_exists("MyPlugin") ) { $MyPluginCode = new MyPlugin(); } if ( isset($MyPluginCode) ) { register_activation_hook( __file__, array($MyPluginCode, 'activate') ); add_action( 'admin-init', array(&$MyPluginCode, 'flush_rewrite_rules') ); //add_action( 'init', array(&$MyPluginCode, 'init') ); add_action( 'generate_rewrite_rules', array(&$MyPluginCode, 'createRewriteRules') ); add_action( 'template_redirect', array(&$MyPluginCode, 'template_redirect_intercept') ); // add_filter( 'query_vars', array(&$MyPluginCode, 'add_query_vars') ); }

  • Serving static content from cookie less domain and mod_deflate

    - by Saif Bechan
I have two domain. One domain with my main website and the other with js/css/etc.. files, static content. mod_deflate is enabled for both domains, but when i run ySlow in FireFox it says none of my static content is compressed. When i bring back the js or css file to my normal domain it gets compressed right. Only when its served from the other domain is it not compressed. Do i have to do some more configuration for this to work? I am using this line in my .htaccess file AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/x-javascript text/css text/html text/xml text/plain application/x-httpd-php I tried to but the line in my httpd.conf file but it gives me the same results. PS. If this is more of a serverfault question i am sorry for this. But i see a lot of questions here concerning mod_deflate and ySlow

  • How to access uploaded files in Ruby

    - by Jeff King
I am trying use a Java Uploader in a ROR app (for its ease of uploading entire directories). The selected uploader comes with some PHP code that saves the files to the server. I am trying to translate this code to Ruby, but am stumped on this point: PHP has a very convenient superglobal – $_FILES – that contains a hash of all files uploaded to the current script via the HTTP POST method. It appears Ruby does not have a similar resource. Lacking that, what is the best way to access and save the uploaded files? I am using the JavaPowUpload uploader ( http://www.element-it.com/OnlineHelpJavaPowUpload/index.html ).

  • Single ErrorDocument directive to catch all errors (.htaccess)

    - by Mike Valeriano
Hello. Is there something like a wildcard directive to catch all possible errors and deal with them in a single custom error page? ErrorDocument 404 /error.php?code=404 ErrorDocument 403 /error.php?code=403 ... ErrorDocument NNN /error.php?code=NNN #possible use of RegExp? I know I probably won't be dealing with a lot of custom error pages here, but I'm curious about this.

  • Access Products/Category/Attribute Info from php with Magento API

    - by Jason
Need to be able to pull Magento products into an external template. Need to be able to get all products data (description, title, attributes, categories, image, etc). And need to be able to filter by category, attribute and also search on name. These calls will be made from the same server that the Magento install is on. What's the best way to do this? Will be using php on both linux & windows (2 separate sites). Have tried using the Magento API & Soap to access from php but haven't been able to get that to work yet. All I get is this error every time. Fatal error: Uncaught SoapFault exception: [WSDL] SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load from 'http://mymagento.com/cart/index.php/api/?wsdl' : Extra content at the end of the document in.....

  • Handle "Cannot access a closed resource set"

    - by Philip
I have a website with several languages in a database. From the database I use ResXResourceWriter to create my .resx files. This is working really good but sometimes I get this exception: MESSAGE: Cannot access a closed resource set. SOURCE: mscorlib FORM: QUERYSTRING: TARGETSITE: System.Object GetObject(System.String, Boolean, Boolean) STACKTRACE: at System.Resources.RuntimeResourceSet.GetObject(String key, Boolean ignoreCase, Boolean isString) at System.Resources.RuntimeResourceSet.GetString(String key, Boolean ignoreCase) at System.Resources.ResourceManager.GetString(String name, CultureInfo culture) at System.Linq.Expressions.Expression.ValidateStaticOrInstanceMethod(Expression instance, MethodInfo method) at System.Linq.Expressions.Expression.Call(Expression instance, MethodInfo method, IEnumerable`1 arguments) at System.Data.Linq.DataContext.GetMethodCall(Object instance, MethodInfo methodInfo, Object[] parameters) at System.Data.Linq.DataContext.ExecuteMethodCall(Object instance, MethodInfo methodInfo, Object[] parameters) at Business.DatabaseModelDataContext.Web_GetMostPlayedEvents(String cultureCode) at Presentation.Default.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.Util.CalliHelper.EventArgFunctionCaller(IntPtr fp, Object o, Object t, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) I don't know why this is happening or how to solve it. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks, Philip

  • Arguments of using WCF/OData as access layer instead of EF/L2S/nHibernate directly

    - by Carl Hörberg
We develop mostly low traffic but highly specialized web applications. Normally we use L2S, EF or nHibernate as access layer and then throws Asp.Net MVC to it and in which for normal crud operations we query the ISession/DataContext directly but for more advanced functions/side effects we put it in a some kind of service layer. Now, i was think about publishing the data through OData (WCF Data Service) and query that from the controllers (or even from jQuery when the a good template engine shows up) and publish the service operations through a WCF service (or as custom methods on the WCF Data Service?). What advantages/disadvantages does this architecture poses? Do I gain something except higher complexity and latency? Better separations of concerns (or is it just a illusion)?

  • Redirect with htaccess for images onto another server without redirect looping

    - by Jeff
Hey guys, I currently have a host where my main site is hosted on. I have set up nginx on another server to mirror/cache files being requested if it doesn't have it already, in particular images and flv videos. For example: www.domain.com is my main site. www.domain.com/video/video.flv www.domain.com/images/1.png I would like to ask apache to redirect it to imgserv.domain.com (imgserv.domain.com points to another server IP) imgserv.domain.com/video/video.flv imgserv.domain.com/images/1.png Basically redirect everything with certain filetypes and preserving the structure of the URL, like flv etc. I tried something but I am getting a redirect looping error. Could someone help me out? Thank you!

  • Remote access to apache2 server

    - by embedded
Hi all, I'm trying to test my iPhone application on the device. I have a mac computer which stores my development environment. Right now I can only access PHP files using the http://localhost/PHPFileLocation which does not work when I try to test my app on real device. How do I configure apache2 to be accessible from outside? Is it possible to configure it to a specific IP address? I want to reach some php scripts located on my development machine running apache2 from my iPhone device. Thanks

  • How to tell .htaccess to ignore a subdirectory (or, how to run WordPress and ExpressionEngine simult

    - by Mike Crittenden
I have an ExpressionEngine site at http://example.com and a WordPress blog at http://example.com/blog ...the problem is, any WP pages that don't map directly to an index.php end up being handled by ExpressionEngine, which results in a 404. For example, http://example.com/blog and http://example.com/blog/wp-admin both work fine as they both directly use an index.php in those folders, but http://example.com/blog/category/tag/something gets handled by ExpressionEngine. So how can I modify the ExpressionEngine .htaccess file to tell it to ignore anything in the /blog directory? Here's what's currently in the ExpressionEngine .htaccess file: Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On ##### Remove index.php ###################################### RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php/$1 [L] ##### Add WWW ############################################### RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^getregionalcash.com [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.getregionalcash.com/$1 [R=301,NC] ##### Increase File Limit Size ############################## #set max upload file size php_value upload_max_filesize 20M #set max post size php_value post_max_size 20M #set max time script can take php_value max_execution_time 6000000 #set max time for input to be recieved php_value max_input_time 6000000 #increase php memory limit php_value memory_limit 64M Any ideas?

  • How do I change the URL for the wordpress author archive page?

    - by Ben Burleson
Instead of www.example.com/author/xyz, I want to use www.example.com/artist/xyz. I was hoping it was as easy as copying author.php to artist.php in my theme directory, but no such luck. Where does wordpress handle the special processing for the author archive pages? .htaccess rewriting is another option, but I wasn't able to get anything to work with the existing wordpress rewrite rules. Thanks,

  • Isapi Rewrite : Remove filename from URL

    - by namtax
Hi there Im am trying to use the isapi rewrite tool on my web domain to write some basic rules, but am getting a bit confused. My base url is http://forevr-dev.co.uk/musicexplained/index.cfm and every page on the site follows from this base url. For example http://forevr-dev.co.uk/musicexplained/index.cfm/artist/blondie would be the artist page for blondie.. What I am looking for, is a rewrite rule, that would remove the index.cfm from the url, instead leaving http://forevr-dev.co.uk/musicexplained/artist/blondie. I have put the httpd.ini file in my musicexplained folder, under the root of my forevr-dev.co.uk domain, and I am using the following code below, which I used from the coldbox coldfusion framework application examples. RewriteEngine On RepeatLimit 0 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.cfm/%{REQUEST_URI} [QSA,L] However, when I now go to the new pretty url, I am recieving an error message saying that the page cannot be found, alongside a 404 message. Any ideas? Thanks

  • Dynamic mod_rewrite or how to plan a dynamic website

    - by Sophia Gavish
Hi, I'm trying to make a clean url for a blog on a dynamic website, but I think that the problem is that I don't know how to plan the website schema. I read about how to use mod_rewrite and all I found is how to make "http://www.website.com/?category&date&post-title" to "http://www.website.com/category/date/post-title". that's works o.k for me. The problem is that If my url looks like "http://www.website.com/blog/?id=34" this method won't work as far as I got it. So, I have two questions: 1. Is there a way to use mod_rewrite (maybe read from a txt file) to read the post title of my blog and rewrite my url by date and post-title? 2. Should I rewrite my website to query the data from one index file in the homepage and use mod_rewrite to write the nice url? should I query also the date and the title of the post instead just the post ID?

  • Configuration problems with django and mod_wsgi

I can even see a 404 page when accessing the path and I can login to django admin. • HttpHandler to handle all kinds of URL's in Mono Apache/XSP in order to build a REST service

    - by vtortola
Hi, I want to develop my own REST service, so I've created a HttpHandler that is configured with verb="" and path="", the the application in "~/MyRESTsrv/" will handle any derivated URL. This approach works good in IIS7 with "integrated mode" and apparently in IIS6 if you map all the extensions to "aspnet_isapi.dll". Is this possible in Apache/XSP with Mono? Do I have to do something special or it will work out of the box? Cheers.

  • mod_wsgi for multiple trac projects [Windows]

    - by fampinheiro
Hello, I have a system with windows server 2008, Apache httpd 2.2 and trac 0.11 i'm using mod_wsgi so the apache server do the web server job. Integration with Trac after read this site i found that the most suitable solution was the following (i have in my httpd.conf the line Include conf/extra/httpd-trac.conf) httpd-trac.conf LoadModule wsgi_module modules/mod_wsgi.so WSGIDaemonProcess tracs processes=3 threads=25 maximum-requests=1000 RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/trac/([^/]+) RewriteCond c:\Project\Services\Trac\%1\conf\trac.ini !-f RewriteRule . - [F] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/trac/([^/]+) RewriteRule . - [E=trac.env_path:c:\Project\Services\Trac\%1] WSGIScriptAliasMatch ^/trac/([^/]+) c:\Project\Trac\trac.wsgi <Directory c:\Project\Trac> WSGIProcessGroup tracs WSGIApplicationGroup %{GLOBAL} Order deny, allow Allow from all </Directory> the problem i encouter is the following: C:\Project\Apache\binhttpd.exe -k start Syntax error on line 3 of C:/Project/Apache/conf/extra/httpd-trac.conf: Invalid command 'WSGIDaemonProcess', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration The objective: My objective is to have multiple trac projects with diferente authentication information. If you have other solution than this please tell me =) Thank you for your help.

  • Rewrite a dynamic URL to a new dynamic URL

    - by Jmino14
I am new to the RewriteEngine and have not been able to find an answer to the following issue. I run an ecommerce site with an ever changing catalog of product skus. Our URLs are dynamic. The question is, what if I want to have a dynamic variable redirect to a different dynamic variable. For instance, I want: http://www.mydomain.com/product.jhtm?id=12345 to now go to: www.mydomain.com/product.jhtm?id=78910 How can I do this through the .htaccess? Thanks in advance.

  • Apache Ant Build command "Access Denied"

    - by Luis Armando
Hey! I am trying to get ant installed and actually already did following this instructions however, I get this error: Buildfile: build.xml does not exist! Build failed which it says there I might get so I just tried executing the next command it says I should(since I'm under Windows it's this one): build -Ddist.dir=<C:\Ant> dist anyway I get "access denied" when hitting enter and I can't figure out why. I also tried build install and build install-lite but I always get that message =/ any ideas why? or what am I doing wrong? Edit Without the < I get a: 'build' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Edit2 Well, my ANT_HOME is in C:\Ant and I'm trying to run the command while placing myself on that folder, isn't that correct?

  • Can you access registers from python functions in vim

    - by Michael Anderson
It seems vims python sripting is designed to edit buffer and files rather than work nicely with vims registers. You can use some of the vim packages commands to get access to the registers but its not pretty. My solution for creating a vim function using python that uses a register is something like this. function printUnnamedRegister() python >> EOF print vim.eval('@@') EOF Setting registers may also be possible using something like function setUnnamedRegsiter() python >> EOF s = "Some \"crazy\" string\nwith interesting characters" vim.command('let @@="%s"' % myescapefn(s) ) EOF However this feels a bit cumbersome and I'm not sure exactly what myescapefn should be. So I've never been able to get the setting version to work properly. So if there's a way to do something more like function printUnnamedRegister() python >> EOF print vim.getRegister('@') EOF function setUnnamedRegsiter() python >> EOF s = "Some \"crazy\" string\nwith interesting characters" vim.setRegister('@',s) EOF Or even a nice version of myescapefn I could use then that would be very handy.

  • Why doesn't Apache2::SubProcess spawn my subprocess?

    - by codeholic
    The following script works without errors, but /tmp/test.touch is not being created (even being checked later in the command line). It seems to me as if $r->spawn_proc_prog doesn't spawn a process. What may cause the problem? #!/usr/bin/perl use strict; use warnings; use Apache2::RequestUtil; use Apache2::SubProcess (); my $r = Apache2::RequestUtil->request; print "Content-Type: text/plain\n\n"; print eval { $r->spawn_proc_prog('/usr/bin/touch', ['/tmp/test.touch']) } ? `ls -l /tmp/test.touch` : $@;

  • IPC::Open3 Fails Running Under Apache

    - by rjray
I have a module that uses IPC::Open3 (or IPC::Open2, both exhibit this problem) to call an external binary (bogofilter in this case) and feed it some input via the child-input filehandle, then reads the result from the child-output handle. The code works fine when run in most environments. However, the main use of this module is in a web service that runs under Apache 2.2.6. And under that environment, I get the error: Cannot fdopen STDOUT: Invalid argument This only happens when the code runs under Apache. Previously, the code constructed a horribly complex command, which included a here-document for the input, and ran it with back-ticks. THAT worked, but was very slow and prone to breaking in unique and perplexing ways. I would hate to have to revert to the old version, but I cannot crack this.
