  • iPhone: Create a single UIView from multiple clicks

    I'm making a partial overlay modal in my app with the code from “Semi-Modal (Transparent) Dialogs on the iPhone” at ramin.firoozye.com. In doing so, the button that calls the modal is still visible and clickable. I will hide this button when the modal spawns, but I want to be sure if the user clicks very quickly twice, a new modal doesn't come up for each click. What is the best way to check that the modal doesn't already exist when calling it from the button click? You can download the test project here.     I've read tens of answers related to callbacks, promises and other ways to control flow, but I can't still wrap my head around this task, obviously due to my lack of competence. I have a nested problem: In test_1() (and the other functions) I would like to ensure that the rows are added to the table according to the order in which the elements are in the object; I would like to execute either test_2 or test_3 (or both after each other) only after test_1 has finished completely. Actually the right sequence will only be known at runtime (there will be a switch with the possible sequences, like 1,2,3 or 1,3,2 or 1,2,1,3 or 1,3,3,2, etc...)   • What license do I need to use gSOAP in a commercial product?

    I'd like to use gSOAP in a product which will be distributed commercially. The use I have in mind is what I suspect is a pretty typical workflow—generating a header using wsdl2h, consuming the header with soapcpp2, and then calling the functions generated in the stub in my code. I'm not 100 percent sure which license(s) I need to use to be able to do this. Has anybody here already gone through this and figured out the solution?

    I wrote my Win32 App to test and debug. I've created a datamodule with all functionality needed to run the TCP sockets and IBDatabase components. After successfully testing the Datamodule in the Win32 application environment I am trying to hook the Datamodule into a Service Application template that I created, I can get nowhere in getting it to run. Could someone indicate whether this strategy of using a Datamodule with Component functionality encapsulating the primary service functions is workable and give a simple template example of how to hook it up if it is??

    How can I search a dynamic array of char in Delphi 6 for a sub-string and get back an index to a match, not a pointer? I've seen functions in Delphi 6 that do this for strings but not for dynamic char arrays. There is a function called SearchBuf but that function returns a PChar pointer to the match location when what I need is the array index of the match. Thanks.

    We manage a server that is hosted on Amazon EC2, which has web applications that need to be able to send outgoing email. Recently we received a notice from Amazon about possible email abuse on that server, so i've been looking into it. It's Windows Server Datacenter (2003, i guess), and uses SMTP Virtual Server (you know, the one that requires IIS 6 for admin). The settings on the Access tab are as follows: - Authentication: Anonymous - Connection: Only from 3 ip addresses (127.0.0.1 and 2 others that refer to that server) - Relay: Only from 3 ip addresses (127.0.0.1 and 2 others that refer to that server) In the SMTP logs there are many entries like the following: 2012-02-08 23:43:56 64.76.125.151 OutboundConnectionCommand SMTPSVC1 FROM: 0 0 4 0 26364 SMTP - - - - 2012-02-08 23:43:56 64.76.125.151 OutboundConnectionResponse SMTPSVC1 250+ok 0 0 6 0 26536 SMTP - - - - 2012-02-08 23:43:56 64.76.125.151 OutboundConnectionCommand SMTPSVC1 TO: 0 0 4 0 26536 SMTP - - - - 2012-02-08 23:43:56 64.76.125.151 OutboundConnectionResponse SMTPSVC1 250+ok 0 0 6 0 26707 SMTP - - - - ([email protected] is sending quite a lot of emails :-/) Can anyone confirm if the SMTP server settings seem correct?   • having trouble with zooming in android webview

    I'm new to android. I'm using webview in scrollview to display my local html page (html has text only). I created two buttons for zoomin and zoomout using behind function zoomIn() & zoomOut() respectively. These functions work fine. The problenm is, when I zoom in, some of the text goes out from both top and bottom and it doesn't appear when I scroll. How can I resolve this?

    Hi, I'm having pretty similar problems as described in case 139099, but the fix there doesn't seem to work for me. Here's the details: Server: Win2003Srv R2 SP2 (stadalone, not a member of a domain). IIS6, TCP/443 (https). Anonymous access disabled. Integrated Windows authentication enabled. Local useraccouts Each useraccount has own virtual folder with change access and read access to site root. The 'adsutil NTAuthenticationProviders "NTLM"' -thing set to site root and useraccount's virtual folder. Client: Win7 Enterprise Member of a AD-Domain IE8 Allows three login attepts then fails. Using [webservername][username] in the logon window (Windows security) Logon using other browsers (Chrome and Firefox) works OK. The Web services log shows one 401.2 and two 401.1 events. The Security Event log shows two events, first is Fauilure Audit (680), The second event is Fauilure Audit (529) with these details: Logon Failure: Reason: Unknown user name or bad password User Name: [username] Domain: [webservername] Logon Type: 3 Logon Process: NtLmSsp Authentication Package: NTLM Workstation Name: [MyWorkstation] Caller User Name: - Caller Domain: - Caller Logon ID: - Caller Process ID: - Transited Services: - Source Network Address: [999.999.999.999] Source Port: 20089 Any ideas appreciated.

However sometimes it does not release the lock right away and that causes file locking exceptions with functions run after this one run.
