    I have to create a bunch of these "Share this on" Technorati, Digg, Facebook, Reddit, del.icio.us, StumbleUpon, MySpace and so on. It is very easy to find online icons for this task, but it is a little more difficult to find what URLs I should link. Is there any updated list of all these services? Of course I could copy them from other sites having this, but I am not sure they are updated, and moreover maybe there is some GET parameter I want to set differently.

    I need to take a file and find the first occurrence of a literal string pattern as a complete line of the file: Acknowledgments: And then I wish to create a new file from the line of match all the way to the end of the file. I expect perl is a good way to do this, but I'm not much of a perl person, alternatively maybe sed is a good way? Please suggest a simple way to reliably accomplish this in Unix.

  • How to disconnect an existing ruby sequel connection to a database?

    I mean the one which was previously established as DB = Sequel.sqlite('my_blog.db') or DB = Sequel.connect('postgres://user:password@localhost/my_db') or DB = Sequel.postgres('my_db', :user => 'user', :password => 'password', :host => 'localhost') or etcetera. The Sequel::Database class has no public instance method called "disconnect" or so though it has "connect" one. Maybe somebody already faced that problem. I would appreciate any idea.

  • Is there a library / api for reading the contents of a .hlp help file?

    I have a help file for my program and was asked to add a description of the menus in a toolbar as the user browses them. So I thought I could just use the beginning of the menu's description of the help but just cant find how to access the contents of it. I saw WinHelp has a macro language, so I figured maybe through this, but I couldnt find any references on this around. Anybody now some pointers or examples of hot to do this?

  • Finding existing tickets before opening new ones on trac

    We're using Trac as the task management tool at the project we work in. However, Trac search is maybe not the most intuitive search out there, and we end up having multiple duplicates as the reporters can't effectively find if there already is a reported ticket of the question he or she found. Stack Overflow's "Related Questions" concept is great and works magnificently! I was wondering if someone has heard of some similar plugin to Trac, or if you have solved this problem some other way.

For me it looks like I can use it for logging like an interceptor, but I don't know how. Could someone of you explain this type of Binding and how I can use it?     consider a standard c# 'function' public void foo() { //some code } In c or c++ this is called a 'function' - even if taking no parameters and returning no value. In another language maybe it would be a 'procedure'. In object orientation speak it would be called a 'method' if a class member. What would be the correct term to use in c#?

  • why my C++ output executable is so big?

    I have a rather simple C++ project, which uses boost::regex library. The output I'm getting is 3.5Mb in size. As I understand I'm statically linking all boost .CPP files, including all functions/methods. Maybe it's possible somehow to instruct my linker to use only necessary elements from boost, not all of them? Thanks.

I want to prevent this focus on the input field how can I do that with javascript in greasemonkey?     i'm trying to run a conditional statement in a class i'm placing in my App_Code folder the condition is whether the person is logged in or not. I normally have two ways to do this in my masterpage and ASPX's if (!User.IsAuthenticated) or if(Profile.username = "anonymous") however neither of these things seem available to me in the .cs i'm making. anyone know what i'm missing? maybe a using namespace up top?

    I've seen in applications a popup that prompts me what I do want to do with a text. I am prompted to choose from Send by SMS, Send by Email, Send by Bluetooth, Send by Fring etc. How do I make such a popup, it seamed to be automatically built? Also how do I tell what message to use? And if needed how do I tell who the contact is? Maybe chooses the options based on the contact, (if has email, show email)
