NSXMLParser & memory leaks

Hi, I am parsing an XML file using a custom class that instanciates & uses NSXMLParser. On the first call everything is fine but on the second, third and later calls Instruments show tens of memory leaks on certain lines inside didEndElement, didEndElement and foundCharacters functions. I googled it and found some people having this issue, but I didn't find anything that could really help me. How can I set up a git repository on windows, and then push to/pull from it on Mac OSX

I'm trying to set up a Windows-based web server, but do the development work on Mac OSX. I installed freeSSHd and msysGit on the Windows server, and set up a repository where I want it. I also have git on my Mac and set up a repo there too. When I try to clone, pull from, or push to the windows repo via SSH, it gives me an error, "fatal: protocol error: bad line length character" It doesn't matter what I set the remote to in my client (Mac OSX) machine - I can point it to a folder that doesn't exist and it still gives me that error. I also tried this on a Linux box I have sitting around and it works perfectly, so it's not my Mac. I have a couple ideas: Maybe freeSSHd isn't behaving correctly (as suggested here) so I could get a different SSH server for Windows - perhaps OpenSSH Perhaps I'm typing the code that combines Mac and Windows file paths incorrectly. I tried: sudo git clone ssh://[email protected]/C:/Users/[my_username]/[remote_repo_name]/.git [destination] and sudo git clone ssh://[email protected]/C:\Users\[my_username]\[remote_repo_name]\.git [destination] I'm getting the same error with both of these. Does anybody know what's going wrong? Better yet, is there anybody out there that has managed to do what I want to do (push to and pull from a windows repository via SSH)? Thanks!

Pull/Clone a svn repository into hg with new default branch name?

I'm forking a project's SVN repo and need to integrate into my Mercurial repo. To keep things simple I have a local hgsubversion repo and a local hg repo. However both the mercurial and hgsubversion repo uses default as their default branch name. My goal here is to put the original code and updates on one branch and my code on the default branch However I have yet to be able to do this. From the docs, there is no way to rename the branch that a commit came from. Frustratingly I can't even come up with a way to do it on a repo with only the hgsubversion repo being pulled from, nothing else. All commits are tied to that one branch no matter what. Is there any suggestions on how to pull changes from an SVN repo and rename the branch to something else?

How do I pull `static final` constants from a Java class into a Clojure namespace?

I am trying to wrap a Java library with a Clojure binding. One particular class in the Java library defines a bunch of static final constants, for example: class Foo { public static final int BAR = 0; public static final int SOME_CONSTANT = 1; ... } I had a thought that I might be able to inspect the class and pull these constants into my Clojure namespace without explicitly def-ing each one. For example, instead of explicitly wiring it up like this: (def *foo-bar* Foo/BAR) (def *foo-some-constant* Foo/SOME_CONSTANT) I'd be able to inspect the Foo class and dynamically wire up *foo-bar* and *foo-some-constant* in my Clojure namespace when the module is loaded. I see two reasons for doing this: A) Automatically pull in new constants as they are added to the Foo class. In other words, I wouldn't have to modify my Clojure wrapper in the case that the Java interface added a new constant. B) I can guarantee the constants follow a more Clojure-esque naming convention I'm not really sold on doing this, but it seems like a good question to ask to expand my knowledge of Clojure/Java interop. Get your content off Blogger.com

Due to blogger.com deprecating FTP users I've decided to move my blog. When I think of the content of a blog, 4 items come to mind: blog posts, comments, binary files that the blog posts linked to (e.g. images, ZIP files) and the CSS+structure of the blog. 1. Binaries The binary files you used in your blog posts are sitting on your own web space, so really blogger.com is not involved with that. Nothing for you to do at this stage, I'll come back to these in another post. 2. CSS and structure In the best case this exists as a separate CSS file on your web space (so no action for now) or in a worst case, like me, your CSS is embedded with the HTML. In the latter case, simply navigate from you dashboard to "Template" then "Edit HTML" and copy paste the contents of the box. Save that locally in a txt file and we'll come back to that in another post. 3. Blog posts and Comments The blog posts and comments exist in all the HTML files on your own web space. Parsing HTML files to extract that can be painful, so it is easier to download the XML files from blogger's servers that contain all your blog posts and comments. 3.1 Single XML file, but incomplete The obvious thing to do is go into your dashboard "Settings" and under the "Basic" tab look at the top next to "Blog Tools". There is a link there to "Export blog" which downloads an XML file with both comments and posts. The problem with that is that it only contains 200 comments - if you have more than that, you will lose the surplus. Also, this XML file has a lot of noise, compared to the better solution described next. (note that a tool I will refer to in a future post deals with either kind of XML file) 3.2 Multiple XML files First you need to find your blog ID. In case you don't know what that is, navigate to the "Template" as described in section 2 above. You will find references to the blog id in the HTML there, but you can also see it as part of the URL in your browser: blogger.com/template-edit.g?blogID=YOUR_NUMERIC_ID. Mine is 7 digits. You can now navigate to these URLs to download the XML for your posts and comments respectively: blogger.com/feeds/YOUR_NUMERIC_ID/posts/default?max-results=500&start-index=1 blogger.com/feeds/YOUR_NUMERIC_ID/comments/default?max-results=200&start-index=1 Note that you can only get 500 posts at a time and only 200 comments at a time. To get more than that you have to change the URL and download the next batch. To get you started, to get the XML for the next 500 posts and next 200 comments respectively you’d have to use these URLs: blogger.com/feeds/YOUR_NUMERIC_ID/posts/default?max-results=500&start-index=501 blogger.com/feeds/YOUR_NUMERIC_ID/comments/default?max-results=200&start-index=201 ...and so on and so forth. Keep all the XML files in the same folder on your local machine (with nothing else in there). 4. Validating the XML aka editing older blog posts The XML files you just downloaded really contain HTML fragments inside for all your blog posts. If you are like me, your blog posts did not conform to XHTML so passing them to an XML parser (which is what we will want to do) will result in the XML parser choking. So the next step is to fix that. This can be no work at all for you, or a huge time sink or just a couple hours of pain (which was my case). The process I followed was to attempt to load the XML files using XmlDocument.Load and wait for the exception to be thrown from my code. The exception would point to the exact offending line and column which would help me fix the issue. Rather than fix it in the XML itself, I would go back and edit the offending blog post and fix it there - recommended! Then I'd repeat the cycle until the XML could be loaded in the XmlDocument. To give you an idea, some of the issues I encountered are: extra or missing quotes in img and href elements, direct usage of chevrons instead of encoding them as <, missing closing tags, mismatched nested pairs of elements and capitalization of html elements. For a full list of things that may go wrong see this. 5. Opportunity for other changes I also found a few posts that did not have a category assigned so I fixed those too. I took the further opportunity to create new categories and tag some of my blog posts with that. Note that I did not remove/change categories of existing posts, but only added. Github Organization Repositories, Issues, Multiple Developers, and Forking - Best Workflow Practices

A weird title, yes, but I've got a bit of ground to cover I think. We have an organization account on github with private repositories. We want to use github's native issues/pull-requests features (pull requests are basically exactly what we want as far as code reviews and feature discussions). We found the tool hub by defunkt which has a cool little feature of being able to convert an existing issue to a pull request, and automatically associate your current branch with it. I'm wondering if it is best practice to have each developer in the organization fork the organization's repository to do their feature work/bug fixes/etc. This seems like a pretty solid work flow (as, it's basically what every open source project on github does) but we want to be sure that we can track issues and pull requests from ONE source, the organization's repository. So I have a few questions: Is a fork-per-developer approach appropriate in this case? It seems like it could be a little overkill. I'm not sure that we need a fork for every developer, unless we introduce developers who don't have direct push access and need all their code reviewed. In which case, we would want to institute a policy like that, for those developers only. So, which is better? All developers in a single repository, or a fork for everyone? Does anyone have experience with the hub tool, specifically the pull-request feature? If we do a fork-per-developer (or even for less-privileged devs) will the pull-request feature of hub operate on the pull requests from the upstream master repository (the organization's repository?) or does it have different behavior? EDIT I did some testing with issues, forks, and pull requests and found that. If you create an issue on your organization's repository, then fork the repository from your organization to your own github account, do some changes, merge to your fork's master branch. When you try to run hub -i <issue #> you get an error, User is not authorized to modify the issue. So, apparently that work flow won't work.

What's the best way to get the contents of the mixed "body" element in the code below? The element might contain either XHTML or text, but I just want its contents in string form. The XmlElement type has the InnerXml property which is exactly what I'm after. The code as written almost does what I want, but includes the surrounding <body>...</body> element, which I don't want. Using C# .NET 2.0, I have a composite data class that does have the [Serializable] attribute on it. I am creating an XMLSerializer class and passing that into the constructor: XmlSerializer serializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(DataClass)); I am getting an exception saying: There was an error reflecting type. Inside the data class there is another composite object. Does this also need to have the [Serializable] attribute or by having it on the top object does it recursively apply it to all objects inside? Any thoughts?

Dozer deep mapping not working

I am trying to use dozer to map between classes. I have a source class that looks like this: public class initRequest{ protected String id; protected String[] details } I have a destination class that looks like this: public class initResponse{ protected String id; protected DetailsObject detObj; } public class DetailsObject{ protected List<String> details; } So essentially i want the string in the details array to be populated into the List in the Details object. This is my current status of the stylesheet. Is there a way to inherit the default ListView Row background within that buttons?

Lets say the variable is called 'foobar' I could use //VariableDeclarator/VariableDeclaratorId[@Image='foobar'] but what if I dont know the text 'foobar', but want to read it from another element //VariableDeclarator/VariableDeclaratorId[@Image=//SynchronizedStatement/Expression/PrimaryExpression/PrimaryPrefix/Name] the 'Name' node has the information 'foobar' in @Image, but PrimaryPrefix/Name[@Image] does not work. How must I rewrite the condition //SynchronizedStatement/Expression/PrimaryExpression/PrimaryPrefix/Name that it is the same as @Image='foobar' ? Thanks

How can I handle an empty namespace with XDocument.XPathEvaluate?

I'm trying to use XDocument and XPathEvaluate to get values from the woot.com feed. WCF: SecurityNegotiationException when using client

So I've been trying to set up certificate authentication for my clients and services. The eventual goal is to partition data based on the certificate a client connects with (i.e. the certificate becomes their credentials in to the greater system and their data is partitioned based on these credentials). I have been able to set it up successfully on both the client and the server side. I have created a certificate and a private key, installed them on my computer, and set up my server such that 1) it has a certificate-based service credential and 2) if a client connects without providing a certificate-based credential an exception is thrown. What I then did was create a simple client and add a certificate credential to the configuration and try to call a simple operation on the service. It looks like the client connects OK, and it looks like the certificate is accepted by the server, but I do get this: SecurityNegotiationException: "The caller was not authenticated by the service." That seems rather ambiguous to me. Note that I am using wsHttpBinding, which supposedly defaults to Windows auth for transport security...but all of these processes are being run as my user account as I'm running in my debug environment. I have several identical elements with different attributes that I'm accessing with SimpleXML: <data> <seg id="A1"/> <seg id="A5"/> <seg id="A12"/> <seg id="A29"/> <seg id="A30"/> </data> I need to remove a specific seg element, with an id of "A12", how can I do this? I've tried looping through the seg elements and unsetting the specific one, but this doesn't work, the elements remain. foreach($doc->seg as $seg) { if($seg['id'] == 'A12') { unset($seg); } }

zend gdata google base getting link url and parsing xml with object oriented php

Hi, So I am using Zend frameworks Gdata extension to parse xml data from google base. http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.gdata.gbase.html Working fine minus one damn important thing I cant seem to parse, the link to the actual page, because there are two elements and its returned as an array. Anyways Ive tried vardumping the array but what comes out didnt help me figure out what was going on any better. So heres the specifics of the issue. echo $entry->title->text."<br />".$entry->id->text."<br />".$entry->content->text."<br />".$entry->author[0]->name."<br />"; (the above code works fine). Now according to the documentation I thought I could get the link href by going $entry-link-text or $entry-link-url (tried both, neither worked). Anyways, Im not sure whether this is zend specific or just a gap in my OOP understanding, but any help would be much appreciated!
