  • How to make Chrome redraw SVG dynamically added content?

    I've dynamacally added the circle elements to the svg displayed in a iFrame. Chrome isnt showing the new elements, not tried FF yet. Is there somekind of redraw/refresh I need to call?     I have one label field and three buttons with the name of red, yellow, blue. If I click the red button then the label field font color should be change to red; similarly if I click the yellow button then the font color should change to yellow; likewise according to the button color the color of font should change in the label field.     I wish to create a custom helper based on the element being dragged. I'm dragging documents and I'd like the document's number to be part of the custom helper. I know how to create a helper during init like this: helper: function() { return $("<div class='fax16'></div>"); } But what I really want to do is maybe in response to the start event get access to the element being dragged and use some of its properties to set the helper. Is it possible to create a generic class, which can instantiate as a class which holds string, or a IList or an IList?

  • How do I dynamically create a document for download in Javascript?

    I'm writing some Javascript code that generates an XML document in the client (via Google Earth plugin). I'd like the user to be able to click a button on the page and be prompted to save that XML to a new file. If I were generating the XML server-side this would be easy, just make the button open the link. But the XML is generated client-side. I've come up with a couple of hacks that half-work, inspired in part by this StackOverflow question. But neither completely work. Here's a demo HTML with embedded code: <html><head><script> function getData() { return '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><doc>Hello</doc>'; } function dlDataURI() { window.open("data:text/xml;charset=utf-8," + getData()); } function dlWindow() { var w = window.open(); w.document.open(); w.document.write(getData()); w.document.close(); } </script><body> <div onclick="dlDataURI()">Click for Data URL</div> <div onclick="dlWindow()">Click for Window</div> </body></html> The dlDataURI() version works great in Firefox, poorly in Chrome (can't save), and not at all in IE. The Window() version works OK in Firefox and IE, and not well in Chrome (can't save, XML embedded inside HTML). Neither version ever prompts a user download, it always opens a new window trying to display the XML. Is there a good way to do what I want in client side Javascript? I'd like this to work in today's browsers, ideally Firefox, MSIE 8, and Chrome.

There are 3 styles each, rather than entertain the notion of a giant switch block with nested if..else statements determining which of 900 reports to use, I was hoping for an eval-like solution.

    I want to create *.bpl file but I am failing to do so. Specifically, I am trying to make JEDI plugins, but I have tried an empty pure Delphi package, too. If I create a new package in Delphi XE3, I get an empty unit - if I "make" this project called "Package1.bpl", I get a .dcu file in "debug/win32/", but no .bpl file. No error is reported by the compiler. An empty JEDI plugin (bpl-style) only gives a .dcu, too, while an empty dll-style JEDI plugin gives a .cdu and a .dll file in "debug/win32/". This is the first time I am tryimg to make a new package, so I am completely lost. What am I missing? Pharaoh

  • Php code not executing - dies out when trying to create an object of class - no error displayed

    I'm having some problems with this piece of code. I've included a class declaration and trying to create an object of that class but my code dies out. It doesn't seem to be an include issue as all the files are being included even the files called for inclusion within the class file itself. However the object is not created - I tried to put an echo statement in the __construct function but nothing it just doesn't run infact doesn't create the object and the code won't continue from there - plus no error is reported or displayed and I have error reporting set to E_ALL and display errors set to true WHats happening here :(

  • How can I use data binding in WPF to create a new user control for each element in a list?

    I have a list of objects. For each item in the list, I want to create a new user control bound to that item. From what I've read, doing this programmatically is bad practice with WPF (as well as less than straightforward), so I should use data binding as a solution instead. The problem is, I can't figure out how to do this. I don't know the contents of the list (just the type) at compile-time, so I can't create and bind with XAML for each element. Google and MSDN don't seem to have any answers, so maybe I'm thinking about this the wrong way? What do I need to do? Thanks

    Hey Everyone, Currently I am mostly a PHP/Javascript/CSS/HTML applications programmer. But I would like to start learning how to create flash movies also. However, I do not want to spend the money to get CS4. Can I create flash movies from only Actionscript 3? Or would anyone recommend that I jump straight to air? All of the different adobe products, which do the same thing, confuse me. I just do not want to jump into it and then find out that I have to spend 900 dollars for the IDE.
