• Clang Static Analyzer for xcode for dummies

  Hi, Could somebody please help me get Clang up and running? (I don't have 3.2) I've followed numerous tutorials (basically every link off of this page http://stackoverflow.com/questions/961844/using-clang-static-analyzer-from-within-xcode) but I just cant get it to work! [formatter setDateFormat:@"yyyy/mm/dd"]; NSDate *date = [formatter dateFromString:@"2010/03/10"]; if (date) { NSLog(@"Date returned:::%@",date); return date; } The Probelm is that, its returning the date --- '2010-01-10 00:03:00 +0600' The month is changed to 1 and the minute to 3, What might be the problem???

  Sorry if these are stupid questions but I couldn't find answers :( Is there any way to set the display name of the application which is shown on iPhone and on iTunes different? The name that I wrote to "Display bundle name" in info.plist is shown both on iTunes and iPhone, is there any way to separate them? My second question is: how can I change the genre of my application? Now it's "Unknown Genre".

• Flash - Firefox issue

  I realised that if I do have a flash object and do not include a 'wmode' attribute, I will not be able to overlay HTML because the flash will always play on top. But if I do include a 'wmode:transparent' , the flash object completely disappears in firefox, whereas if I use 'wmode:opaque' , I get a white box in place of the Flash object. I've looked at many forums - many questions - but somehow everyone's problem gets resolved when they use one of the aforementioned attributes. So....HELP !!! Note: using either attribute works in IE.

Since 30 years ago on the Superboard, TRS-80, Apple II, I haven't seen a system with one's complement.   i've got 3 Log classes that all implements iLog interface: DatabaseLog FileLog ScreenLog there can only be one instance of them. initially i though of using single pattern for each class but then i thought why not use a factory for instantiation instead, cause then i wont have to create single pattern for each one of them and for all future Log classes. and maybe someone would want them as multiple objects in the future. so my questions is: should i use factory or singleton pattern here?

• Always use multiple cores (/MP) flag with Visual Studio?

  I'm using Visual Studio 2008 on my main build system. I've been playing with Visual Studio 2010 on another one. It appears that the tool still only wants to use one core when compiling unless you specify the /MP switch in the compiler switches (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1422601/how-do-i-turn-on-multi-cpu-core-c-compiles-in-the-visual-studio-ide-2008). I have to do this for every project. Is there a way to make VS always do this?
