• Dynamically populate an InfoPath DropownList with managed code

  I have an InfoPath form with custom C# code, and a Sharepoint list. I have a dropdownlist in the InfoPath form that I want to populate with a certain field from the Sharepoint list (I want the InfoPath dropdownlist to contain this field's value from every item in the Sharepoint list. I can successfully get the list of values I need from Sharepoint in my managed code, but I do not see how I can get these values into the dropdownlist (either bind to the list, or add each item in the list one by one). I thought I could modify the XML of the dropdownlist to insert my items, but the XML only contains the first item in the dropdownlist: <my:RelatedRiskID xmlns:my="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2009-07-20T18:12:59">Option 1</my:RelatedRiskID> I feel like this should be possible, but I can't find any resources on how to do it. • Sparse O(1) array with indices being consecutive products

  Hello, I'd like to pre-calculate an array of values of some unary function f. I know that I'll only need the values for f(x) where x is of the form of a*b, where both a and b are integers in range 0..N. The obvious time-optimized choice is just to make an array of size N*N and just pre-calculate just the elements which I'm going to read later. For f(a*b), I'd just check and set tab[a*b]. This is the fastest method possible - however, this is going to take a lot of space as there are lots of indices in this array (starting with N+1) which will never by touched. Another solution is to make a simple tree map... but this slows down the lookup itself very heavily by introducing lots of branches. No. I wonder - is there any solution to make such an array less sparse and smaller, but still quick branchless O(1) in lookup?

• Sorting a file with 55K rows and varying Columns

  Hi I want to find a programmatic solution using C++. I have a 900 files each of 27MB size. (just to inform about the enormity ). Each file has 55K rows and Varying columns. But the header indicates the columns I want to sort the rows in an order w.r.t to a Column Value. I wrote the sorting algorithm for this (definitely my newbie attempts, you may say). This algorithm is working for few numbers, but fails for larger numbers. • My MS Access control displays no text for appended items following an append query

  The control in question is part of a datasheet-style subform that feeds off a multi-field combo-box. The control is bound to the first field of the combo box, an ID field which is hidden from view (column width set to zero). Consequently, the second field (Code) is displayed in the control when an item is selected from the combo box. I'm using a form button action to append values to this datasheet. It seems that because I need to INSERT ID values in, the control is unable to display the corresponding Code value. Nothing is visible, unless I go manually into the combo box and select an item from it. How can I get the control to display the Code value?

• Converting from samplerate/cutoff frequency to pi-radians/sample in a discrete time sampled IIR filter system.

  I am working on doing some digital filter work using Python and Numpy/Scipy. I'm using scipy.signal.iirdesign to generate my filter coefficents, but it requires the filter passband coefficents in a format I am not familiar with wp, ws : float Passband and stopband edge frequencies, normalized from 0 to 1 (1 corresponds to pi radians / sample). For example: Lowpass: wp = 0.2, ws = 0.3 Highpass: wp = 0.3, ws = 0.2 (from here) I'm not familiar with digital filters (I'm coming from a hardware design background). In an analog context, I would determine the desired slope and the 3db down point, and calculate component values from that. In this context, how do I take a known sample rate, a desired corner frequency, and a desired rolloff, and calculate the wp, ws values from that? (This might be more appropriate for math.stackexchange. I'm not sure)

Now I want to add another column to the result, showing comma-separated values ordered by value from table y outer joined via intersection table x if a.value3 IS NULL, else take a.value3 To comma-separate the grouped values I use Tom Kyte's stragg, could use COLLECT later. Pseudo-code for the SELECT would look like that: SELECT xx.id, COALESCE( a.value3, stragg( xx.val ) ) value3 FROM ( SELECT x.id, y.val FROM x WHERE x.a_id = a.id JOIN y ON ( y.id = x.y_id ) ORDER BY y.val ASC ) xx GROUP BY xx.id What is the best way to do it? • How to set up an insert to a grails created file with next sequence number?

  I'm using a JMS queue to read from and insert data into a postgres table created by grails. The problem is obtaining the next sequence value. I thought I had found the solution with the following statement (by putting "DEFAULT" where the ID should go), but it's no longer working. I must have changed something, because I needed to recreate the table.   I have a dataview that contains a list of tables. I am reading in a list of values that I then want to apply as a filter to this dataview. The list of values is actually in the form of "table1, table2, table3". So I thought I would be able to use this as a filter on my dataview.   I encounter this problem repeatedly, and haven't a clue what is causing it. I get an exception in the DataBind: "SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items". Here are some important pieces of information: 1) I reload listOrgs periodically when the underlying data has changed. 2) The Organization.DTListAll call returns about 500 Int, String pairs. 3) There are no duplicate or null values in the returned data 4) After the first two lines below, listOrgs.Items.Count is 0, and the Selected Value is 0 5) The selected value when the DataBind operation executes is a value that is not in the set of ID values returned 6) All of the stuff I have found on line so far hasn't helped. 7) I am stumped! listOrgs.Items.Clear(); listOrgs.SelectedValue = "0"; listOrgs.DataSource = new Organization().DTListAll(SiteID); listOrgs.DataTextField = "OrganizationName"; listOrgs.DataValueField = "OrganizationID"; listOrgs.DataBind(); Bob Jones

• Getting pixel data from an image using java.

  I'm trying to get the pixel rgb values from a 64 x 48 bit image. I get some values but nowhere near the 3072 (= 64 x 48) values that I'm expecting.   Using C#, say you have a ComboBox that has a DropDownStyle set to DropDown (there are items in the drop down but the user can manually enter a value as well). How do you set a default value for the ComboBox that is not in the list of values in the drop down, but begins with text from a possible selection? Normally setting ComboBox.Text works fine, but if there is an item in the drop down that begins with the text you want as the default, it automatically selects the first item in the list that starts with the text. MySQL triggers seem to be just the thing -- but how do I capture the IP address and the web username (as opposed to the mysql username, localhost) of the user who invoked the trigger?
