  • Is AutoIt "Managed Code"?

People say it needs to be "Managed Code". I'm not completely sure what that means nor do I know if AutoIt has that characteristic.

  • Given a large set of vertices in a non-convex polygon, how can i find the edges?

    I have a set of vertices(called A) and I want to find all the border vertices such that this border vertices set is an outline of the shape. Many of the vertices in A are redundant because they are inside the shape, I want to get rid of these vertices.     Just a quick and simple question: in PostgreSQL, how do you list the names of all stored functions/stored procedures using a table using just a SELECT statement, if possible? If a simple SELECT is insufficient, I can make do with a stored function. My question, I think, is somewhat similar to this other question, but this other question is for SQL Server 2005: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/119679/list-of-stored-procedure-from-table (optional) For that matter, how do you also list the triggers and constraints that use the same table in the same manner?

    Given two lists: chars = ['ab', 'bc', 'ca'] words = ['abc', 'bca', 'dac', 'dbc', 'cba'] how can you use list comprehensions to generate a filtered list of words by the following condition: given that each word is of length n and chars is of length n as well, the filtered list should include only words that each i-th character is in the i string in words. In this case, we should get ['abc', 'bca'] as a result. (If this looks familiar to anyone, this was one of the questions in the previous Google code jam)

    I'm using carrier-specific addresses to send email to SMS, which works fine. In reference to the answer of this question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1179854/limitations-on-sms-messages-sent-using-free-email-sms-gateways is there any websites or other resources that list the format that is delivered for each carrier. ATT for example delivers the SMS with some added formatting that is not present with T-Mobile. I realize this is not a coding question, but since I can only see this question arising for someone that is creating email to SMS specific applications, it seems relevant to SO.

Are there any implications with using words that are reserved in other flavors of SQL (e.g., SQLServer) but not reserved in SQLite when using ADO.NET to query a SQLite database?

Does openssl libraries have any api support for calculating the CRC32?   • Salt, passwords and security

    I've read through many of the questions on SO about this, but many answers contradict each other or I don't understand. You should always store a password as a hash, never as plain text. But should you store the salt (unique for each user) next to the hashed password+salt in the database. This doesn't seem very clever to me as couldn't someone gain access to the database, look for says the account called Admin or whatever and then work out the password from that?

    So apparently it is possible to keep the processor going processing stuff while the screen is locked, as indicated here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1551712/running-iphone-apps-while-in-sleep-mode However, after testing with the example code, UIAccelerometer will just stop giving value as soon as the device is locked pronto. Is there a way to force otherwise?
