  Television watchers are no longer keeping their eyes continuously glued to the screen–increasingly smartphone, tablet, and laptop users have merged their mobile device and television time. According to Nielsen user surveys, at least 80% of mobile device owners have used their device while watching television in the past month–27% said they use their mobile device alongside the television multiple times a day. What the survey results are light on, however, is an in depth look at what the users are doing with their second screen.   I've apache2 and tomcat6 running on port 80 on ubuntu server 9.10. I've a registered domain name and I'll access the jsp index page navigating to http://abc.mydomain.com. The page is under tomcat_home/webapps/myapp and the below are tomcat virtual hosting in server.xml file: <Host name="abc.mydomain.com" debug="0" appBase="webapps" unpackWARs="true"> <Logger className="org.apache.catalina.logger.FileLogger" directory="logs" prefix="virtual_log1." suffix=".log" timestamp="true"/> <Context path="" docBase="/usr/share/tomcat/webapps/myapps" debug="0" reloadable="true"/> </Host> Recently a new domain has been bought(xyz.mydomain.com) and I'm asked to do the virtual hosting so that the new domain name directly points the page "admin.jsp" which is located under 'tomcat_home/webapps/myapps/WE-INF/js/'. How could I do this? If I type http://abc.mydomain.com/admin I'll get the page what I wanted. I should access the page just by typing http://xyz.mydomain.com.

  I think I heard on a previous StackOverflow podcast that COBOL was used as the programming language for traffic lights (or something like that), so this got me interested. I did a quick Google search and found this little article: Today, Cobol is everywhere, yet largely unheard of by millions of people who interact with it daily when using the ATM, stopping at traffic lights or buying a product online. The statistics on Cobol attest to its huge influence on the business world: There are over 220 billion lines of Cobol in existence, a figure which equates to about 80 per cent of the world’s actively used code. There over a million Cobol programmers in the world. There are 200 times as many Cobol transactions that take place each day than Google searches. I didn't really trust the source seeing as how it's on some random PHPBB forum. So how accurate are these figures? Are there really 220 billion lines of COBOL? I assume a few people/companies still use COBOL, but how many?

• Enabling SSL Requests on Jdev's Integrated Weblogic

  Often times you will want to enable SSL access for such things as secure login or secure signup. By default, the integrated WLS that ships with JDev does not listen to SSL requests. However, this is easily fixed.Just navigate to http://127.0.0.1:7101/console. This will deploy the console app where you can configure WLS. By default the login credentials are:username: weblogicpassword: weblogic1Then go to Environment -> Servers -> DefaultServer. Check the "SSL Listen Port Enabled" box and your server will now listen to SSL requests (just make sure to use the listen port that is specified).For added security, you can always check while processing your request that it is going through an SSL connection by first checking HttpServletRequest.isSecure().
