• Using the <h2> as the title after sent?

  Currently, I have a semi-dynamic system for my website's pages. head.php has all the tags before the content body, foot.php the tags after. Any page using the main theme will include head.php, then write the content, then output foot.php. Currently, to be able to set the title, I quickly set a variable $title before inclusion: <?php $title = 'Untitled document'; include_once '../head.php'; ?> <h2>Untitled document</h2> Content here... <?php include_once '../foot.php'; ?> So that in head.php... <title><?php echo $title; ?> | Delan Azabani</title> However, this seems kludgy as the title is most of the time, the same as the content of the h2 tag. Is there a way I can get PHP to read the content of h2, track back and insert it, then send the whole thing at the end?

  I'm trying to upload a picture to a specific website using php cURL but I don't really understand what parameters do I need to send because the data looks a bit weird . The issue that I have is that I don't understand what is the boundary, where do I get it from (because it doesn't appear in the html document that generates the POST and how should I make the post . If you would give me a simple example to post the above parameters to http://example.com I will definitely get the trick . Each button has the same margin and padding. The question is, is there a way of setting margin and padding for wrap panel, so each element inside the wrap panel may use it values? This make the code shorter and let me specify Margin and Padding only one time instead of setting it for each control in the panel. Thank you!

  Last week I was over in Melbourne and Sydney to present at an Oracle Technology Network System Administration Day. During a set of morning sessions, I presented on some of the new things that we've done in Oracle Solaris 11 and our focus for the future. One of the sessions I presented was giving a quick technical overview of what a typical application deployment scenario would look like using technologies like the Image Packaging System (IPS), Service Management Facility (SMF), Oracle Solaris Zones, and network virtualization. While it's just a simple example, it provides the basic building blocks for a more advanced configuration that a data center would typically deploy. • How can you use jQuery to make sIFR-replaced elements fade in?

Has anyone gotten this to work? I am using jQuery 1.2.6 and sIFR 3 r436. Tested in Safari 4 and FF 3. Thanks!

• Is this a bug? Or is it a setting in ASP.NET 4 (or MVC 2)?

  I just recently started trying out T4MVC and I like the idea of eliminating magic strings. However, when trying to use it on my master page for my stylesheets, I get this: <link href="<%: Links.Content.site_css %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> rending like this: <link href="&lt;%: Links.Content.site_css %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> Whereas these render correctly: <link href="<%: Url.Content("~/Content/Site.css") %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="<%: Links.Content.site_css + "" %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> It appears that, as long as I have double quotes inside of the code segment, it works. But when I put anything else in there, it escapes the leading "less than". Is this something I can turn off? Is this a bug? • How do I control Google Search Results display properties?

  I am putting the finishing touches on a customized Google Search for a site and need a little assistance tweaking the header on the results page. I was able to manage the spacing of the results content with: #results4 { width: 620px; padding: 20px; } However you will notice that the top row of information Results 1 - 10 for search... runs off the right side of the content area. I tried using the following code, but it didn't help: .t td { align:left; } I also tried margin-right and padding but those didn't work either. what is the best way to get that content to move over into the content area? thanks.

We have a number of documents that are the same size i.e. 488x320mm, the content within these documents is always positioned relative to the top right of the document but varies in size i.e. 210x330mm, 240x350mm etc. What i need to do is 'find' the content block and move it from its current position to the centre of the sheet. • tty1 prompt before lightdm

  After upgrading to 13.10, every time I boot I'm shown a login prompt (tty1) for ~30 seconds before lightdm automatically starts. Everything works fine after that. Any ideas on what I could try to fix/debug this? Is the best way to store sessions in: Database (more reliable, but high bottleneck, slow speed, not good for high database usage websites)? Memcache (super fast, but distributed more security problems, chances of loosing data when the server restarted and chances of loosing data when the cache is full)? Files (default option, I guess slow since it reads and writes from file I/O, less security, etc). Which method is the best? What are the problems and good things of each of those approaches?

I'm creating a MessageBanner window that works similar to the message banner we see in several sites nowadays (including SO) I want client code to call my message banner using four different modes: MessageBanner.Show(content); MessageBanner.Show(content, ownerWindow); MessageBanner.ShowModal(content); MessageBanner.ShowModal(content, ownerWindow); I believe you got the application. The thing is that when ownerWindow is displayed, I want to display my MessageBanner window inside the ownerWindow. Any ideas on how to do it?

• How can I embed the result of a rails view in another website?

  I would like to allow users to call my ruby on rails app as a service which returns a 'div' with html content in it, and embed that div into their app (which will not be a rails application). For example, assume someone has their own php website that has a header/footer template that gets rendered, and a content area of the page that they need to fill based on some html I generate in my rails app. I would like to allow them, from php, to call to my website, get the 'div' I generate, and embed that as html in their php page. What I'm trying to do is host a service on my site that returns some html content, but actually show that content as part of another site, so that the end user only sees the other site and never really knows about mine. Is this possible?

• Downloading large file with php

  Hi, I have to write a php script to download potentially large files. The file I'm reporting here works fine most of the times. However, if the client's connection is slow the request ends (with status code 200) in the middle of the downloading, but not always at the very same point, and not at the very same time. I tried to overwrite some php.ini variables (see the first statements) but the problem remains. I don't know if it's relevant but my hosting server is SiteGround, and for simple static file requests, the download works fine also with slow connections. I've found Forced downloading large file with php but I didn't understand mario's answer. I'm new to web programming. • PHP Include and accents (They show up as ?)

  I'm using PHP include to include a PHP file that has HTML in it. some of the content has french accents and these show up as ? on the site. How can this be solved? • Success function not being called when form is submitted

  Hi, I've been trying to figure out why the following script's success function isn't running. Everything in my form works perfectly, and the form contents are being emailed correctly, but the success function isn't being called. If anyone could review my code and let me know why my success function isn't being called I would very much appreciate it!   Hi, does anybody know how to force Razor View engine to print exact line which is under foreach loop. • jquery .load taking too long after successive calls

  I have the following jquery script: <script> $(function(){ $('#menu-change-div').on('click', 'a.change-content', function(e){ e.preventDefault() $("#content").load($(this).attr("href")); }); }); </script> It dynamically loads content into my content div depending on which link they clicked in the menu. The problem I am having is when I click multiple links, say 5-10 in a row, the load time goes from instantly to taking 10 seconds or more to not even loading. Is there something in my function that is causing this? Thanks
