    I am creating a very simple script. The purpose of the script is to pull a question from the database and display all answers associated with that particular question. We are dealing with two tables here and there is a foreign key from the question database to the answer database so answers are associated with questions. Hope that is enough explanation.     Here is my current issue. I need to display a tree like structure displaying a recall roster. Our DBA created a stored procedure that returns [level],[name],[contact_info]. Example looks like: [1] [test name1] [contact info] [2] [sub to1] [contact info] [3] [sub to2] [contact info] [4] [sub to3] [contact info] [3] [sub to2] [contact info] [2] [sub to1] [contact info] etc... It's sorted in the order of the hierarchy I haven't really worked with XML much but is that the way to go in loading/presenting this data. Currently when I retrieving the data I'm returning it in a datatable. There may also be a need to export this data to Excel. Can anyone point me a good direction to go with this?

Here is the relevant information needed for each. items prod_id order_id item_qty orders order_id order_date order_status acct_id accounts acct_id is_wholesale items is linked to order by the order_id and orders is linked to accounts via acct_id I need to sum item_qty for all items where prod_id=464 and the order stats is not 5 and where the is_wholesale is 0 and the order_date is between two dates. Im struggling with this and would appreciate any help. Here is what I have but it's not working correctly: SELECT SUM(items.item_qty) as qty FROM items LEFT JOIN orders ON orders.order_id = items.order_id LEFT JOIN accounts on orders.acct_id = accounts.acct_id WHERE items.prod_id =451 AND orders.order_date >= '$from_date' AND orders.order_date <= '$to_date' AND orders.order_status <>5 AND accounts.is_wholesale=0; Again, any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I am using the Jquery Validation plug-in, however i need to add a "custom rule", i have 2 date fields and i need to ensure that the end date is not less than the start date. My problem is how to pass the two fields in as elements. As i understand u set up a custom function something like this : function customValidationMethod(value, element, params){ } But can't see how i could use it with two fields, if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

If it returns 0 rows, I want next line to be something like: if (!$result) { //do this; } However, in my test, I am getting false when I know it should be true. Is this sound logic here? (note, yes I know I should be using mysqli_query, that is not what I am asking here)

The above code is working good for that particular record but not working other patients with same doctors where patient1 has already been sent with DoctorLetter1.

    AFAIK, java Date type is independent from Timezone which means that it represents specific moment of time as long typed value. I found really weird thing here. This is the original value i tried to insert. (http-0.0.0.0-9080-4) 1352955600000 <-- long integer. (http-0.0.0.0-9080-4) Thu Nov 15 00:00:00 EST 2012 <-- User Friendly Format. After i finished inserting into Oracle 11g database, the value has changed! (http-0.0.0.0-9080-4) 1352952000000 (http-0.0.0.0-9080-4) Wed Nov 14 23:00:00 EST 2012 How could this happen?? The more weird thing is it only happens specific environments such as Jboss. I'm currently using below environments. java 1.6 ibatis 2.34 jboss-5.1 (server) tomcat 6.0 (local) oracle 11g Is there anybody who can give me a clue or link to be helpful? it really bugging me!!
