[self willChangeValueForKey:@"names"]; [self didChangeValueForKey:@"names"]; It called didChangeValueForKey immediately after willChangeeValueForKey. Does it make any sense?     Hi there I made the mistake of using == for comparing IP addresses instead of using the equals() method of the IPAddress class in C#, which will result in the comparison of references instead of values. Since the solution I am currently working on is very large for a one-man project ( 100.000 lines of source code), I am very sure that I still have some of these wrong statements in my code. Is there any possibility to tell Visual Studio to find all occurrences of == operations on a specific class for me, so that I can find and clean up the bugged comparisons? with best regards, emi

  • Eclipse 3.5 (Cocoa) slowing down irregularly after some time

    Hi, I'd like to hear, if anyone else encounters the same problems, and doesn't use Google's GWT (2.0) plugins: Sometimes, my Eclipse 3.5 (Cocoa) slows down after some time of usage (=30 minutes), so that things like maximizing an editor or moving the splitters becomes unbearably slow (reacting only after several seconds). After an Eclipse restart, everything's fine again. I'm not running low on memory (neither free RAM, nor memory available to Eclipse - Heap/Stack/PermGenSpace), and my system specs are not too bad. I know exactly one other person so far, who sees the same problem - but he also uses the GWT plugins. Since these issues appear irregularly, they're hard to track. Before creating an issue on the GWT bug tracker, I'd like to find out, if this also happens for somebody without Google's plugins. Thanks, Chris Edit: I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.2

  • How to stop IIS7 from listening on a specific IP address and port?

    I am trying to install Apache on Windows Server 2008. The installation ends with a warning that the IP address I configured Apache to listen on cannot be bound. When I use netstat -a -p tcp to see if any processes are listening on the IP address and port I see several entires .. one of which shows as listening on 0.0.0.0:80. Here is a partial list of the output. Proto Local Address Foreign Address State TCP 0.0.0.0:80 MYSERVERNAME:0 LISTENING This looks to be IIS7 listening on all IP addresses on port 80. The confusing thing is that I stopped IIS7. All websites are shown as stopped. I tried iisreset /STOP as well as using the IIS7 Manager, yet something is still listening on 0.0.0.0:80. I have even made sure that every web site is bound to another IP address other than the one I want freed for Apache. Has anyone else run into this?

    I'm following a tutorial to set up vagrant (a tool to build and configure portable virtual machine images), and it seems that vagrant documentation suggests using IPv4 address 33.33.33.10 to configure a new box. That is a publicly routed IP adress, so I'm a bit confused why using this address is suggested. Since I don't own this network, I should not use an address from the 33.33.33.10/8 range. Am I correct in thinking that I should only use either a public address from a network I own, or an address from one of the private ranges as defined in RFC 1918? If so, why does Vagrant documentation suggest otherwise?

    I'm developing some additional functionality for a client's website that uses the email address as a key lookup variable between various databases (email marketing system, internal prospect database, and a third shared DB that helps bridge the gap between the two). I'm concerned that storing a visitor's email address as a $_SESSION variable could lead to security issues (not so much for our site, but for the visitor). Anybody have suggestions or experience on whether this is okay to do, or if there's another alternative out there?

  • How can I display eth0's IP address at the login screen on Precise Server?

    The server I administrate, inconveniently enough, has a dynamic IP address assigned by DHCP. The convenient counterbalance, though, is that it happens to be set up about two feet from where I sit. I know how to edit /etc/issue to show different values before the login prompt is delivered to the display, but I'd like to know if it's possible for /etc/issue to display the current IP address of eth0 (re-evaluated at boot time) so that I can see it and then ssh in without having to log in to run ifconfig.

Our senior programmers have knowledge of how to do this, Although - I would like to know how you could go from converting a eLearning course from Flash into a application for Mac and PC, looking similar to Garageband's music lessons? What programming language was used to create Garageband on Mac? What is the best way to create a application that will work on PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Touch etc, Rather then using flash and Actionscript to create online based applications, that will only work in a browser on Mac and PC? I'm compiling libcurl for mingw32 as follows: ./configure --prefix=/Users/daniel/mingw32 "CFLAGS= -ABI=32" make make install But when compiling a program using mingw32-gcc: i386-mingw32-gcc -lcurl -o bin/remote-win.exe remote.c i get: In file included from /Users/daniel/mingw32/usr/local/include/curl/curl.h:34, from remote.c:6: /Users/daniel/mingw32/usr/local/include/curl/curlbuild.h:152:26: sys/socket.h: No such file or directory In file included from /Users/daniel/mingw32/usr/local/include/curl/curl.h:34, from remote.c:6: /Users/daniel/mingw32/usr/local/include/curl/curlbuild.h:165: error: syntax error before "curl_socklen_t" In file included from /Users/daniel/mingw32/usr/local/include/curl/curl.h:35, from remote.c:6: /Users/daniel/mingw32/usr/local/include/curl/curlrules.h:143: error: size of array `__curl_rule_01__' is negative /Users/daniel/mingw32/usr/local/include/curl/curlrules.h:153: error: size of array `__curl_rule_02__' is negative I'm pretty sure the error is because curl_socklen_t does not exist on windows. I've tried --target=--mingw32 but still no success. Please help

    Is Mac OS X developed on a licensed Unix or is it a Unix-like clone that, unlike Linux, conforms to Unix specification well enough to be registered as a Unix OS. Not until Leopard, Mac OS X did not gain the Unix certification. But in Leopard, Terminal still print: GNU bash, version 3.2.48(1)-release (x86_64-apple-darwin10.0) But GNU is GNU's not Unix, and Mac OS X is registered as Unix. That gets me confused whether OS X is unix or unix-like. In other words, is OS X written on top of Unix or a re-write of Unix that is as Unix as it can possible be. May be along the answer someone can provide lineage or other background information. I would also recommend reading How Unix is Mac OS X.

  • .htaccess - RewriteRules working, but browser address bar displaying full (unfriendly) URL

    Hey there, Haven't been able to find a solution to this around the net or these forums - apologise if I've missed something! My .htaccess RewriteRules are working well - have search-engine and user -friendly links in my web pages, and unfriendly database URLs running hidden in the background. Except when I added a RewriteRule to add "www." to the front of URLs if the user didn't enter it - to ensure only one appears in search engines. Here's what now happening, and I can't figure out why! My friendly URL structure for content is like this, and the database query string uses the first "importantword": www.example.com/importantword-nonimportantword/ .htaccess snippet: Options +FollowSymLinks Options -Indexes RewriteEngine on RewriteOptions MaxRedirects=10 RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^/$ index.php [L] RewriteRule ^(.*)-(.*)/overview/$ detail.php?categoryID=$1 [L] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.example.com$ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.example.com/$1 [L] What's happening since I added the last 2 lines: CASE 1: user types (or clicks) www.example.com/honda-vehicle/overview/ - Works correctly - They are taken to the correct page and the browser URL bar says: www.example.com/honda-vehicles/overview/ CASE 2: user types example.com - Works correctly - They are taken to www.example.com and the browser URL bar says: www.example.com CASE 3: user types (or clicks) example.com/honda-vehicles/overview/ i.e. without the prefix "www" - Does NOT work correctly - They are taken to the right page, but the browser URL bar displays the unfriendly URL: www.example.com/detail.php?categoryID=honda I figure there's some issue with the order of the RewriteRules, but it's doing my head in trying to logically step through it and figure it out! Any assistance at all or pointers would be most appreciated!

  • "Hello, WebView" tutorial opens the requested address in Android browser and not in my webview

    Hi everyone, I am using Android emulator with AVD of Android 2.1 and I have the following problem: Trying to load a URL in a WebView using webView.loadUrl causes it to open in the browser instead. Note: I am talking about the initial opening, not the issue in which links from the WebView open in a browser, though, perhaps it is somehow connected. I've tried several things: I've removed <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" /> from the manifest. That actually made it work correctly, i.e, load the html into the webview. However, as one would expect, the only thing it loaded is "unable to connect the internet" error page. I've tried downloading a real sample project ("Hello Android" book source files, project - BrowserView). However, it didn't work just the same. I've created a new project and followed the directions at Google's official tutorial of using WebView and got the same result. I haven't find anyone else complaining about it. Why does it happen?
