• How To Get Browser To Open From Same Folder?

  I don't know how to make the title any more clear. Let me give an example - When I want to add an image to an article on my blog, I click "Browse" button in the image uploader, and then upload the image to the blog. The problem is, when I want to upload another image to my blog, I want the browser to look into the same directory; but it's always takes me to the "Recently Used" directory. Is there a way to change this? I hope I have made myself clear enough. EDIT: I only use Chrome, so I am referring to it.

• What are the fundamentals of game development?

  Hi, I completely do not understand how a video game can be coded. I'm a beginner programmer and only have experience writing console applications that do math and what not. I do not understand how these logical processes can make images move on the screen (video games). Obviously if i jumped into a game development book or something like that I would understand but I am currently still getting a grasp of the fundamentals of programming in general. Could anyone give a simple explanation , coding wise, on the jump between making a computer do simple math to making a computer produce amazing graphical programs such as video games? • Worth changing the URL structure to incorporate keywords?

  I am migrating my blog from PHP to ASP.NET and while recoding the whole website, I figured I might as well improve the URL structure. This is how an url looks like now: example.com/blog/post/755/hakurei-reimu-cosplay-from-touhou-by-kishigami-hana and this is hould it will look after the change (cosplay being the dynamic main keyword of the post): example.com/blog/cosplay/hakurei-reimu-cosplay-from-touhou-by-kishigami-hana-755/ The website is a bit more than a half year old and receives around 650k page views a month, mainly from search traffic. Of course everything would be redirected with 301 redirects. Do you think it is worth changing to a new URL structure, or will it harm the ranking in the long run?

• Windows XP guest in Ubuntu VirtualBox OSE VM does not install driver to use host's HP laptop webcam.

  I recently created a virtual windows xp with Virtual Box OSE. The sound and video seem to be working just fine. However, it does not recognize the webcam which I use to video chat with yahoo messenger. I use Windows to have video chats with my daughters who live in another country. Since I did not want to go back to windows, I decided to try installing windows in a virtual machine. But when I tried using it yesterday, everything worked perfectly except for the webcam. I was not able to make the webcam work. I tried to download the drivers for it, but since my laptop is HP Pavilion g4-1287la, Core i3, none of the drivers I tried worked. I got the same error every time I tried to install them, something like: This driver cannot be installed in this machine

• Great User Group if based near Gloucester + Links from Entity Framework 4.0 session

  I had a really fun evening doing “my final” EF 4.0 session last night (26th May 2010) at GL.NET based out of Gloucester (although secretly I made it into a IronRuby and Windows Azure session). They are a great crowd and Jimmy makes for a fantastic host + it is a very nice venue (Symantec offices in Gloucester, lots of parking, good room etc) + free pizza + free SWAG + trip to pub afterwards (the topics were very varied!). What more could you ask for? The next session is June 16th and will be on multi-tenanted ASP.NET MVC and comes highly recommended.   I have often faced a case where the competitors of my client use SEO blackhat tactics where they contact a SEO company to do link building for their websites and products. Here is an example of a typical case of a fake blog created only for link building purposes A very low content article http://marshallfab.com/fundus-camera-explained.html in obvious fake blog: no author information, partially machine generated text, all blog posts are solely about link building Following the link you get to the promoted company page http://www.patternless.com/ ... which, unsurprisingly, links the SEO company homepage in the footer text http://www.affordableseofl.com/ ... who are not shy to advertise their Extremely aggressive SEO plan Does Google have any feedback channel where one could submit cases like this, so that Google would punish the link builders? Are there any means to bring these blackhat companies to pushame to damage their reputation?

• How to setup up A record for GitHub pages for NearlyFreeSpeech.net

  I own the domain zenstealth.com and I have decided that the easiest way for me to "do" a blog is via GitHub pages and Jekyll, which is already built-in in GitHub pages. I've done that already, and for now I've already setup a CNAME record so that my GitHub pages repo zenstealth.github.com redirects to blog.zenstealth.com. What I want to do is instead of using a sub-domain for the blog, I'd like to make it use the top level domain zenstealth.com. The GitHub Pages instructions say to the set an A record to the ip 207.97.227.245. The problem in NearlyFreeSpeech.NET (let's call it NFSN for short) is that it already already sets A records to files which are hosted directly in NFSN, and I have absolutely no idea on how to override this.

• Released: Who is Active v11.11

• Skype, add-on applications, UAC and "Unable to respond"

  Just posting this blog tonight hoping it might save someone else a bunch of time. For call recording on Skype, I use a program called Pamela. Lately, when I'd first installed it, it would work fine. Later, however, it would come up and say: "Another application (Pamela.exe) is attempting to access Skype, but we are unable to respond". • Unable to remove some unity lenses

  I removed the files, video, photos and friends lenses with the following command. sudo apt-get purge unity-lens-files unity-lens-video unity-lens-photos unity-lens-friends Although the corresponding results have disappeared from dash, only the friends tab has been removed. There still are tabs for files, video and photos, albeit empty. How do I remove these empty tabs? I use Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander. I understand that this issue didn't exist in 12.04. The directory structure of unity lenses seems to have changed from 12.04 to 13.10. Earlier the lenses were stored in /usr/share/unity/lenses/. • unmet dependencies updating Intel graphics driver

  I am trying to update my graphics driver by running: sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel But I keep getting this message: Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: xserver-xorg-video-intel : Depends: xorg-video-abi-11 E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. When I run: sudo apt-get install -f Nothing happens, because the program doesn't even get half way to installing. I am running Lubuntu 12.04 on a HP Mini 110 netbook. I have tried changing to several different ppa's but that doesn't work. I want to update my driver so that my mouse stops flickering and ScummVM stops flickering every minute.
