  I don't want to waste my blank dvd's for a burning software that does not work. Do you know of any software that can emulate cd burning? Maybe emulate it by burning the data into a flash drive which is seen by the software as a cd or dvd. Is it possible?

• Which is faster, copying everything at once or one thing at a time?

  I am transferring a bunch (20+) of large (1GB+) files to my external flash drive over USB 2.0. Is it quicker to just sling them all over at once (as in one at a time but not waiting for the previous transfer to finish) so that there are multiple transfers going on, or transfer one, wait for it to finish, transfer the next. The files are coming from a variety of locations so I can't do one single big transfer. Are there any other advantages to one way or the other that are worth considering?

Removable drives (like DVDs and flash readers) now seem to take lower precedence than permanent storage so it is a bit of an oddity that floppy disks should have higher letters.

  This has not CD drive and I would like to boot to Acronis to reload from an image that I created. I don't know how else to get the OS and all the drivers loaded.   I just upgraded from ubutnu 9.04 to 9.10, and everything was working fine before the upgrade but now when ever I play a file in a video player everything has a blue/green tint. Its like my video went into Smurf mode! for some reason flash based video is still fine, ex. hulu/youtube both play just fine.

  Is there such a thing as a H.323 to RTSP gateway? Am I searching for the wrong terms? This site seems to imply that such a thing should already exists, but I cannot find anything at all. My end goal is to connect a Flash applet (via RTMP) on one end to a video conference (which uses H.323) on the other end.
