  • How to show dashboard for Micrmax 353G in ubuntu 12.04?

    I am using ubuntu 12.04 and Micromax 353G dongle for internet. Everything is working fine. But here I want to see my data used in that session and the balance data. It is showing all the features in windows but as I am using ubuntu and I love this so I want all this in ubuntu. So is this possible to get a dashboard for Micromax dongle dashboard on ubuntu 12.04? Any help and suggestions will be highly appreciable.

    I'm about to launch a discussion forum about Taiwan. I'm really trying to figure out how to deal with the first visitors. I've thought about the following so far: Invite few friends to start some discussions and give some replies. Create discussions myself and reply them myself (with another account). I don't want the first visitors to feel like the site is empty. Maybe I'm missing something. Any suggestions?

    The only way I can think of to have a shoutbox or similar element update itself when somebody posts a new 'shout' and it needs to be loaded in everyone else's browsers is to have Javascript check every x seconds for any updates... This could get a bit resource intensive though I expect if many people were to leave their browsers open on the page, idling. Is this the only way or am I missing something? I've prefer to stick to only html, css, javascript (AJAX) and php.

    Breathing (the movement of chest and face features): I'd like to ask if it is hard to model and whether it is computationaly expensive. I recently noticed the great effect it has in Madagascar 3 movie, but (please, correct me if I am wrong) don't remember seeing it in any games (except maybe steam cloud in cold/winter setting) and very few animated movies does that to noticable degree (e.g. when it is necessary by the plot or situation). I'd greatly appreciate answers from both movie graphics and game graphics perspective.

  • Terminal command autocomplete

    I'm currently trying to switch from OpenSUSE to Ubuntu as my main OS. While most of opensuse features is there in ubuntu, there is one feature that doesn't. In Opensuse, I can always use Ctrl+Up to autocomplete the command line using previously typed command. That feature is very useful for me as it allows me to work faster without having to retype long command. Can anyone provide a way to enable this on Ubuntu? Thank you
