    Hi guys, In my application,i have a gridview in which columns are created at runtime.Actually these columns are created when i am entering data in a database table. My gridview is like this:- Description | Column1 | Column2 | Column3 | ...... |....... |......... Input volt | 55 | 56 | 553 |........ Output volt | 656 | 45 | 67 | where Column1,Column2,column3 may vary during runtime.i need to enter values to these columns during runtime.But i cant bind these columns because these are created during runtime. The first column "Description" will not change.It will remain constant.For each description,there will be values for each column.At last these data will be saved to the database.How to add columns in the gridview during runtime?

    I have a situation where a custom class is a property of another class. What i need to be able to do, if it is possible at all, is obtain a reverse to the "parent" class (ie the the class that holds the current class as a property). For Instance: Public Class Class1 ... public readonly property Prop11 as Class2 public property Prop12 as String ... End Class Public Class Class2 ... private _par as Class1 private _var21 as string ... Public Sub New(...) me._par = ???? ... End Sub public readonly property Prop21 as string Get return me._par.Prop12 & me._var21 End Get End Property ... End Class Ultimately, i am trying to access other properties within Class1 from Class2 as they do have substance for information from within Class2. There are several other classes within Class1 that provide descriptive information to other classes contained within it as properties but the information is not extensible to all of the classes through Inheritance, as Class1 is being used as a resource bin for the property classes and the application itself.   • ASP.NET Performance, 100 "Memory Hard Faults" indiciate a memory swapping problem?

    With a customer web site we currently experiences performance problems. While analyzing the problem we found an unexpected amount of of 112 "Memory Hard Faults" per minute. Does anybody can interpret the meaning of this value? Does this happen, when memory swapping is necessary - so the root cause is not sufficient memory? Even if the CPU value seems high, it is not the main problem for the slow web site. Do you agree?

  • Can't start x session after updating packages

    I have recently upgraded to 12.04 and all seems ok except adobe flash plugin doesn't work. But one several days ago when I installed several update packages and rebooted the x session was unable to start and it automatically switches to console 1 for commandline login. What's frustrating is there's essentially no error messages when I click alt+F7 to see what's going on with the x session. There are a bunch of [ok]'s and the last line seems to be something like 'starting x font server' and it just hang there. The closest thing to an error is something like 'stopping system V compatability (*words I can't remember*) ... [ok]'. This is nearly the most frustrating experience I've ever had with linux in the past 10 years. Can anyone help me?

    I am observing a weird behavior when clicking links to my ASP.NET application in MS Word 2003 / 2007 document. I have IE8 installed. When I click a link in the document the request that is sent has the user-agent IE7(!?). A new session object is created. Right after that out of nowhere a second request appears this time having user-agent IE8. More over, when I click anything on the requested page, a new session object is once again created, so I cannot rely on anything that has been persisted in the session. Why is it like that?

The session began with a summary of the four main components of Java ME SDK. A device emulator allows developers to quickly run and test applications before commercialization. It supports CLDC/MIDP CLDC/IMP.NG and CLC/AGUI. A development environment assists writing, running debugging and deploying and enables on-device debugging. Samples provide developers with useful codes and frameworks. IDE Plugins – NetBeans and Eclipse – equip developers with CPU Profiler, Memory Monitor, Network Monitor, and Device Selector. This means that manual integration is no longer necessary.   • Any Free Alternative to the ASP.net Calendar Control?

    Here are the problems I am having with the control from the factory: no easy way to get the first visible date (yeah I could use day render, but at that point in the page cycle, I can't do what I need to, which is manipulate a collection in viewstate) changing the visibledate property in my code does not raise the visiblemonthchanged event. That just doesn't make any sense to me. Can someone suggest a free, improved calendar control?

    I'm writing a banking system and my customer wants support both Russian and American numeric standards in decimal digits delimiter. Respectively . and ,. Now only , works properly. Perhaps because of web server's OS format (Russian is set). String like 2000.00 throws a FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. How to fix that? Are there any other ideas except String.Replace('.', ',') on FormView.ItemInserting event?

  • How can I provide links to intranet files through ASP.net?

    Conditions: The files must be opened outside of the window that the link to them is in. I have tried href, but when I give it an intranet link it only opens correctly if I leave out target="_blank"; if I put that in, the new window that opens doesn't receive the full link if there is a pound sign in the filepath... a direct link to the intranet address \a\b\c#c.txt would be fine with me; there is no concern about security, but I can't seem to get that to happen in a new window. It seems like this is happening when I don't create a new window, but I can't utilize the same window to open the links. Any ideas?

    I've created a custom clipboard because it's not possible to make my whole class map serializable - which is a requirement for the windows clipboard. However, I need to distinguish between users who are using my clipboard through a unique id. Basically, I want to be able identify a person who is sat at one PC with one or more copies of visual studio (or similar) open. How do I do that? ps: This is at design-time. pps: It's not critical that it should work between copies of visual studio. One copy would be fine, or even one design surface.

    I disassembled the .NET 'System' DLL and looked at the source code for the variable classes (string, int, byte, etc.) to see if I could figure out how to make a class that could take on a value. I noticed that the "Int32" class inherits the following: IComparable, IFormattable, IConvertible, IComparable, IEquatable. The String and Int32 classes are not inheritable, and I can't figure out what in these inherited interfaces allows the classes to hold a value. What I would want is something like this: public class MyVariable : //inherits here { //Code in here that allows it to get/set the value } public static class Main(string[] args) { MyVariable a = "This is my own custom variable!"; MyVariable b = 2976; if(a == "Hello") { } if(b = 10) { } Console.WriteLine(a.ToString()); Console.WriteLine(a.ToString()); }

    I have a main Table, with several "child" tables. TableA and TableAChild1 and TableAChild2. I have a view which shows the information in TableA, and then has two columns of all items in TableAChild1 and TableAChild2 respectivly, they are rendered with Partial views. Both child tables have a bit field for VisibleToAll, and depending on user role, I'd like to either display all related rows, or related rows where VisibleToAll = true. This code, feels like it should be in the controller, but I'm not sure how it would look, because as it stands, the controller (limmited version) looks like this: return View("TableADetailView", repos.GetTableA(id)); Would something like this be even work, and would it be bad what if my DataContext gets submitted, would that delete all the rows that have VisibleToAll == false? var tblA = repos.GetTableA(id); tblA.TableAChild1 = tblA.TableAChild1.Where(tmp => tmp.VisibleToAll == true); tblA.TableAChild2 = tblA.TableAChild2.Where(tmp => tmp.VisibleToAll == true); return View("TableADetailView", tblA); It would also be simple to add that logic to the RendarPartial call from the main view: <% Html.RenderPartial("TableAChild1", Model.TableAChild1.Where(tmp => tmp.VisibleToAll == true); %>
