  • URL regex search and replace on MySQL (in WordPress)

    - by Tal Galili
Hello all, I have a WordPress blog with numerous URL's I wish to replace from this: http://www.oldwebsite.co.il/name/*.asp To this: http://www.newwebsite.com/?p=* For example, from this: http://oldwebsite.co.il/name/65971.asp To this: http://www.newwebsite.com/?p=65971 I believe the following plugin: http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/search-regex/ will do the trick with regex, but I am looking for the correct regex to use here. I found this stackoverflow thread that has a similar task, but since I am not too apt with regex, I was hoping for help so I don't mess anything up. Thanks, Tal After searching stackoverflow, I found

  • Collapse Tables with specific Table ID? JavaScript

    - by medoix
I have the below JS at the top of my page and it successfully collapses ALL tables on load. However i am trying to figure out how to only collapse tables with the ID of "ctable" or is there some other way of specifying the tables to make collapsible etc? <script type="text/javascript"> var ELpntr=false; function hideall() { locl = document.getElementsByTagName('tbody'); for (i=0;i<locl.length;i++) { locl[i].style.display='none'; } } function showHide(EL,PM) { ELpntr=document.getElementById(EL); if (ELpntr.style.display=='none') { document.getElementById(PM).innerHTML=' - '; ELpntr.style.display='block'; } else { document.getElementById(PM).innerHTML=' + '; ELpntr.style.display='none'; } } onload=hideall; </script>

  • MySQL stored procedure, handling multiple cursors and query results

    - by Tirithen
    How can I use two cursors in the same routine? If I remove the second cursor declaration and fetch loop everthing works fine. The routine is used for adding a friend in my webapp. It takes the id of the current user and the email of the friend we want to add as a friend, then it checks if the email has a corresponding user id and if no friend relation exists it will create one. Any other routine solution than this one would be great as well. DROP PROCEDURE IF EXISTS addNewFriend; DELIMITER // CREATE PROCEDURE addNewFriend(IN inUserId INT UNSIGNED, IN inFriendEmail VARCHAR(80)) BEGIN DECLARE tempFriendId INT UNSIGNED DEFAULT 0; DECLARE tempId INT UNSIGNED DEFAULT 0; DECLARE done INT DEFAULT 0; DECLARE cur CURSOR FOR SELECT id FROM users WHERE email = inFriendEmail; DECLARE CONTINUE HANDLER FOR NOT FOUND SET done = 1; OPEN cur; REPEAT FETCH cur INTO tempFriendId; UNTIL done = 1 END REPEAT; CLOSE cur; DECLARE cur CURSOR FOR SELECT user_id FROM users_friends WHERE user_id = tempFriendId OR friend_id = tempFriendId; DECLARE CONTINUE HANDLER FOR NOT FOUND SET done = 1; OPEN cur; REPEAT FETCH cur INTO tempId; UNTIL done = 1 END REPEAT; CLOSE cur; IF tempFriendId != 0 AND tempId != 0 THEN INSERT INTO users_friends (user_id, friend_id) VALUES(inUserId, tempFriendId); END IF; SELECT tempFriendId as friendId; END // DELIMITER ;

  • MySQL: LIMIT then RAND rather than RAND then LIMIT

    - by Larry
I'm using full text search to pull rows. I order the rows based on score (ORDER BY SCORE) , then of the top 20 rows (LIMIT 20), I want to rand (RAND) the result set. So for any specific search term, I want to randomly show 5 of the top 20 results. My workaround is code based- where I put the top 20 into an array then randomly select 5. Is there sql way to do this?

  • Where Is The MYSQL Settings File Located On A Windows Installation

    - by Joshua
I need to set "lower_case_table_names", but I don't have any idea where to start. I'm using XAMPP and I don't know where to look for the file or that the exact name of the file is. One source said my.cnf another said my.conf, but neither of those files exist on my drive. Is it possible I need to create such a file? And if so, what folder must I put it in for the settings to take?

  • Trouble pre-populating drop down and textarea from MySQL Database

    - by Tony
    I am able to successfully pre-populate my questions using the following code: First Name: <input type="text" name="first_name" size="30" maxlength="20" value="' . $row[2] . '" /><br /> However, when I try to do the same for a drop down box and a textarea box, nothing is pre-populated from the database, even though there is actual content in the database. This is the code I'm using for the drop down and textarea, respectively: <?php echo ' <form action ="edit_contact.php" method="post"> <div class="contactfirstcolumn"> Prefix: <select name = "prefix" value="' . $row[0] . '" /> <option value="blank">--</option> <option value="Dr">Dr.</option> <option value="Mr">Mr.</option> <option value="Mrs">Mrs.</option> <option value="Ms">Ms.</option> </select><br />'; ?> AND Contact Description:<textarea id = "contactdesc" name="contactdesc" rows="3" cols="50" value="' . $row[20] . '" /></textarea><br /><br /> It's important to note that I am not receiving any errors. The form loads fine, however without the data for the drop down and textarea fields. Thanks! Tony

  • Table design issues - should I create separate fields or store as a blob

    - by Ali
Hi guys I'm working on my web based ordering system and we would like to maintain a kind of task history for each of our orders. A hsitory in the sense that we would like to maintain a log of who did what on an order like lets say an order has been entered - we would like to know if the order was acknowledged for an example. Or lets say somebody followed up on the order - etc. Consider that there are numerous situations like this for each order would it be wise to create a schema on the lines of: Orders ID - title - description - date - is_ack - is_follow - ack_by ..... That accounts to a lot of fields - on teh other hand I could have one LongText field called 'history' and fill it with a serialised object holding all the information. However in the latter case I can't run a query to lets say retrieve all orders that have not been acknowledged and stuff like that. With time requirements woudl change and I would be required to modify it to allow for more detailed tracking and that is why I need to set up a way which would be feasible to scale upon yet I don't want to be restricted on the SQL side too much.

  • using a php variable in the WHERE clause of a mysql query

    - by user1262890
I'm running a very simple query that I think should work. The only thing that I haven't done before is put a php variable in the WHERE clause of the query. The variable $X is a numerical value, say 100. When I run this query, I just get a value of 0 returned. Am I doing something obviously stupid? SELECT generator_64k.n FROM generator_64k WHERE generator_64k.n<= '$X' I've looked around the web and also tried this: SELECT generator_64k.n FROM generator_64k WHERE generator_64k.n<= '" . $X . "' But this also just returns 0. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • PHP/MySQL database connection priority?

    - by Josh
Hello, I have a production database where usage statistics for a service we're working on. I use php to periodically roll up different resolutions (day, week, month, year) of interesting statistics in buckets dictated by the resolution. The php application I've written "completes" its data when its run, such that it will calculate all the rolled-up statistics for the resolutions and periods since it was last run. This is useful if we want to turn this off to debug database performance issues, because I can turn it back on and have it complete its data set. The problem I have, is the calculations are fairly intensive and drive the QPS of the production database server up. Is there a way to set a "priority" on a particular database connection so that it will only use "off-cycles" to do these calculations? Maybe a proper response would be to replicate the tables I'm working on into a different stats database, but, unfortunately I don't have the resources in place to attempt such a thing (yet). Thanks in advance for any help, Josh

  • Unable to compare valuesfrom mysql in a prepared statement

    - by Cortopasta
I can't seem to get this to connect to the database so that I can run my prepared statement. Does anybody have an idea what I've forgotten? private function check_credentials($plain_username, $password) { global $dbcon; $ac = new ac(); $ac->dbconnect(); $userid = $dbcon->prepare('SELECT id FROM users WHERE username = :username AND password = :password LIMIT 1'); $userid->bindParam(':username', $plain_username); $userid->bindParam(':password', $password); $userid->execute(); $id = $userid->fetch(); Return $id; } EDIT: I changed the SQL query from a SELECT FROM query, to an INSERT INTO query and it worked. WHat the heck is going on?

  • Updating Checked Checkboxes using CodeIgniter + MySQL

    - by Tim
Hello I have about 8 check boxes that are being generated dynamically from my database. This is the code in my controller //Start Get Processes Query $this->db->select('*'); $this->db->from('projects_processes'); $this->db->where('process_enabled', '1'); $data['getprocesses'] = $this->db->get(); //End Get Processes Query //Start Get Checked Processes Query $this->db->select('*'); $this->db->from('projects_processes_reg'); $this->db->where('project_id', $project_id); $data['getchecked'] = $this->db->get(); //End Get Processes Query This is the code in my view. <?php if($getprocesses->result_array()) { ?> <?php foreach($getprocesses->result_array() as $getprocessrow): ?> <tr> <td><input <?php if($getchecked->result_array()) { foreach($getchecked->result_array() as $getcheckedrow): if($getprocessrow['process_id'] == $getcheckedrow['process_id']) { echo 'checked'; } endforeach; }?> type="checkbox" name="progresscheck[]" value="<?php echo $getprocessrow['process_id']; ?>"><?php echo $getprocessrow['process_name']; ?><br> </td> </tr> <?php endforeach; ?> This generates the checkboxes into the form and also checks the appropriate ones as specified by the database. The problem is updating them. What I have been doing so far is simply deleting all checkbox entries for the project and then re-inserting all the values into the database. This is bad because 1. It's slow and horrible. 2. I lose all my meta data of when the check boxes were checked. So I guess my question is, how do I update only the checkboxes that have been changed? Thanks, Tim

  • NHibernate and mysql timestamp

    - by HeavyWave
I am trying to do versioning with NHibernate and everything works fine, however right after the insert NHibernate tries to pull the generated timestamp by executing the following query: SELECT profileloc_.Updated as Updated14_ FROM profile_locale profileloc_ WHERE profileloc_.id=?p0 and profileloc_.culture=?p1;?p0 = 16, ?p1 = 1033 Which is totally wrong, as it will pull out all versions starting with the first one. How do I make it add ORDER BY Updated DESC to this query? I am using Fluent NHibernate for mappings.

  • MySQL Student database beginner SQL employment expectations

    - by sammysmall
Background, Student pursuing BSIT degree, employer expectations, entry level. I would like to solicit opinions from this forum as to what your professional expectations are as regards an entry level position in working in the database realm... I see many job opportunities that require a minimum of 2 or more years experience, how does one go about obtaining this experience (I have tried very hard to maintain a minimum 3.70+ GPA) but have ZERO work experience in this field... I spend non school time working in VB and SQL to try and increase my proficiency. I have considered postponing my job search until I obtain certifications from brainbench etc... Any criticism and or advise is welcomed... Again I have no experience in database other than undergrad work in class. Thank you for your time sammysmall

Write a sequential script that deletes via paginating through the rows 1000 at a time?
