    The numbers are in a list that is not sorted and supports only one type of operation. The operation is defined as follows: Given a position i and a position j the operation moves the number at position i to position j without altering the relative order of the other numbers. If i j, the positions of the numbers between positions j and i - 1 increment by 1, otherwise if i < j the positions of the numbers between positions i+1 and j decreases by 1. This operation requires i steps to find a number to move and j steps to locate the position to which you want to move it. Then the number of steps required to move a number of position i to position j is i+j. Design an algorithm that given a list of numbers, determine the optimal(in terms of cost) sequence of moves to rearrange the sequence.

Anyone knows how to fix this warning? UPDATE This problem also exists with gtk-demo , is it a gtk bug? Can someone verify that? Platform: windows XP UPDATE AGAIN This is indeed a gtk bug,which is un-fixable.

    I have configured virtual machine on ubuntu with the help of below article, https://help.ubuntu.com/9.04/serverguide/C/libvirt.html I managed to finish all the part except the major portion getting virtual host to talk to real network, Which I guess should be done only via bridge interface. Via virtual machine manager I try to choose any interface it gives me interface not bridged When I try to bridge the interceface eth0 as below auto br0 iface br0 inet static address 192.168.0.223 network 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255 gateway 192.168.0.1 bridge_ports eth0 bridge_fd 9 bridge_hello 2 bridge_maxage 12 bridge_stp off I cannot communicate with this interface to network, host server looses all the communication to network. But when I remote bridge interface from /etc/network/interfaces And configure eth0 as below it works fine The primary network interface auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.0.223 netmask 255.255.255.0 network 192.168.0.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255 dns-nameservers 62.215.6.51 gateway 192.168.0.1 how can i setup bridge interface correctly and how would my /etc/netwrok/interfaces file would look a like.

  • Heavy Mysql operation & Time Constraints [closed]

    There is a performance issue where that I have stuck with my application which is based on PHP & MySql. The application is for Data Migration where data has to be uploaded and after various processes (Cleaning from foreign characters, duplicate check, id generation) it has to be inserted into one central table and then to 5 different tables. There, an id is generated and that id has to be updated to central table. There are different sets of records and validation rules. The problem I am facing is that when I insert say(4K) rows file (containing 20 columns) it is working fine within 15 min it gets inserted everywhere. But, when I insert the same records again then at this time it is taking one hour to insert (ideally it should get inserted by marking earlier inserted data as duplicate). After going through the log file, I noticed is that there is a Mysql select statement where I am checking the duplicates and getting ID which are duplicates. Then I am calling a function inside for loop which is basically inserting records into 5 tables and updates id to central table. This Calling function is major time of whole process. P.S. The records has to be inserted record by record..   • Why is Firefox so bloated? [closed]

    First off I am a developer who loves firebug and other development tools (and no Chrome firebug lite does not cut it) and am just utterly frustrated when I have been using Firefox lately. It is at the point where I use Chrome for absolutely everything but web development but am still frustrated that I had to switch where half a year ago or more Firefox was fine. Why can't there be a Firefox lite? One that is free from all the bloat that has been plaguing Firefox recently. Also if there are any tools or tips that I can free up my Firefox that would be great. I am using the newest version + as few add-ons as possible. EDIT: I have tried Chrome Developer Tools and I do like them...but I can't get passed the firebug lite extension of Chrome. Some of the developer tools are great but sometimes they just have too much information. I extensively use Firebug/myphp admin. Both of these work much much better in Firefox then Chrome. But I hate that it takes me so much longer to load and use everything.

So, Anyone start using it in the live projects and could share pros and cons over it?

    so i have been reading of the pros and cons of allowing: allow_url_fopen. but i am still confused. after a recent hacking incident (which i believe had nothing to do with allow_url_fopen) my host turned allow_url_fopen off. so the thing i dont get is, in joomla 2.5.x there is an updating feature.you can search for new versions and be notified if things are out of date. there is a big security hole if joomla or its extensions get out of date. But the catch it needs allow_url_fopen turned on. so why did joomla build a security risk into a feature to improve security??is it okay to turn allow_url_fopen on and have the updating feature? to clarify: my question is. i have Joomla installed. I have CURl installed. when i run the discover updates through NATIVE joomla i get a request for fopen. shouldn't i not need to enable a security risk? i am running version 2.5.8 of joomla.
