  • jQuery UI " $("#datepicker").datepicker is not a function"

    When i use DatePicker, jQuery's UI plugin, in an existing .aspx page i get errors that "$("#datepicker").datepicker is not a function". However, when I copy and paste the same code that creates and uses the DatePicker to an html file that's also in the same directory as the aspx page, it works flawlessly. This leads me to assume that there are some JS files in the aspx page that's preventing the DatePicker or maybe jQuery's UI JS files to load properly. Can anyone confirm my beliefs or provide any tips on finding the culprit that's interfering with jQuery's UI plugins?

    Hi, the following code produces the error in the title. I've tried to google it, but all I got were pages who got the same error (and not an explanation thereof). This isn't really a problem since it's actually working and cancelling the error out with the @ works out just fine.   • Updating Lists of Lists in Tapestry4 using textfields and a single submit button

    In Tapestry 4 I am trying it iterate over a list of lists (technically a list of objects who have a list of strings as a data field). I am currently doing this by using 'nested' for components. (This is pseudo code) <span jwcid="Form"> <span jwcid="@For" source="ognl:Javaclass.TopLevelList" value="ognl:SecondLevelList" index="ognl:index"> <span jwcid="@For" source="ognl:SecondLevelList.List" value="ognl:ListItem" index="ListItemIndex"> <span jwcid="@TextField" value="ognl:ListItem"/> <span jwcid="@Submit" listener="ognl:listeners.onSubmit"/> </span></span></span> The onSubmit listener then accesses the index and ListItem index page properties, as well as the ListItem page property in order to correctly update the list in Javaclass.TopLevelList. This works fine, but it looks terrible, and is cumbersome to the end user. I would prefer to somehow simulate this functionality using only one submit button at the bottom of the page. I have looked into somehow using the overlying form component to obtain a list of the 'form control components' within it, and then (with great care) parsing through tapestry's naming conventions to recover the functionality of the indexes. If anyone knows how to do this, or could explain the form component (how/when it submits, etc.) it would be greatly appreciated.

So if the user is brasilian I'd send him the column pt_br from the table fix_i18n, otherwise if he's american I'd send him the column en_us. What I get from this method is a PostgreSQL exception org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: syntax error at or near "$1" If I replace fi.? with just ? (the column name of the locale is unique, so if I run this query in the database it works just fine) what I get is that every object returned from method has the string locale into the field name. I.e. in name field I have "en_us". Details sections is generated without any problems automatically displaying polish letters like 'c z z a' etc. where title and column headers contain strange letters instead.     This question is derived of the topic: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2280655/vector-reserve-c I am using a datastructur of the type vector<vector<vector<double> > >. It is not possible to know the size of each of these vector (except the outer one) before items (doubles) are added. I can get an approximate size (upper bound) on the number of items in each "dimension". A solution with the shared pointers might be the way to go, but I would like to try a solution where the vector<vector<vector<double> > > simply has .reserve()'ed enough space (or in some other way has allocated enough memory). Will A.reserve(500) (assumming 500 is the size or, alternatively an upper bound on the size) be enough to hold "2D" vectors of large size, say [1000][10000]? The reason for my question is mainly because I cannot see any way of reasonably estimating the size of the interior of A at the time of .reserve(500). An example of my question: vector A; A.reserve(500+1); vector temp2; vector temp1 (666,666); for(int i=0;i<500;i++) { A.push_back(temp2); for(int j=0; j< 10000;j++) { A.back().push_back(temp1); } } Will this ensure that no reallocation is done for A? If temp2.reserve(100000) and temp1.reserve(1000) where added at creation will this ensure no reallocation at all will occur at all? In the above please disregard the fact that memory could be wasted due to conservative .reserve() calls. Thank you all in advance!

  • WPF - Redrawing a Context Menu when Items change?

    I have a ItemsControl in a ScrollViewer, and when the items exceed the width of the ScrollViewer they are put into a ContextMenu and shown as a DropDown instead. My problem is that when the Context Menu is first loaded, it saves the saves the size of the Menu and does not redraw when more commands get added/removed. For example, a panel has 3 commands. 1 is visible and 2 are in the Menu. Viewing the menu shows the 2 commands and draws the control, but then if you resize the panel so 2 are visible and only 1 command is in the menu, it doesn't redraw the menu to eliminate that second menu item. Or even worse, if you shrink the panel so that no commands are shown and all 3 are in the Menu, it will only show the top 2.     Absolute newbie question, any help is highly appreciated :) I am using curvycorners (http://www.curvycorners.net/) in combination with the jQuery validation plugin (http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-validation/), and I'm having problems getting the div to redraw the rounded corners when I do like this: $("input[type='submit']").click(function(e) { curvyCorners.redraw(); }); When I click the submit-button the first time the form validates, the validation error-message pops up and expands the div, causing the layout to go ugly. However when I click on it the second time the rounded corners redraw nicely. Could it be that my validation plugin hijacks my initial click? How do I go about this? Any hint is very much appreciated.

An example could be image banners served using javascript. I give code to template designer who places it in two places, once for a horizontal banner in the header and once for a vertical banner. The same code runs in both blocks but knowing their positions can determine if to serve a horizontal or a vertical image banner. Make sense?

    Hello, My problem is the following: I'm using client validation function of the MVC 2.0 framework. Everything is nice, when I use the validation in a simple form. But when I use an Ajax form, and I update the fields of the ajax form. After the client validation dosen't work. Exactly: the ajax postback is not fired, but the validation message is not shown. I think about, I have to refresh the validation after the ajax call but I dont know how I should do it. Anybody can help me?

    Isn't it possible to treat functions in Scheme as any other list? Basically, what I want do to is something like this: (define (foo) "hello") (cdr foo) ; or similar, should return the list ((foo) "hello") I've found a similar discussion about this, and I feel a bit disappointed if this is not possible with Scheme. If so, why is this impossible? Is it possible in other lisps? EDIT: Changed (cdr 'foo) to (cdr foo) -- it was misleading. I'm asking, why can't I access a function as a list?

  • shared library path inconsistent from one host to another

    I built my qt app so that all the Qt modules it uses are contained in the same directory as the executable. It works on the machine I used to build the app and I made sure to test this by removing those shared libraries everywhere except in the current directory of the app. Doing a ldd shows that its looking for those libraries in the current directory and putting the executable by itself fails to open the exectuable. So this is all good but when I transfer this directory to a host machine it still cant find those libraries. what could be the problem?

Although the code runs, I don like the have unresolved warnings when compiling. How can i solve this?

    Hi, I have a abstract base class A and a set of 10 derived classes. The infix operator is overloaded in all of the derived classes class A{ void printNode( std::ostream& os ) { this->printNode_p(); } void printNode_p( std::ostream& os ) { os << (*this); } }; There is a container which stores the base class pointers. I want to use boost::bind function to call the overloaded infix operator in each of its derived class. I have written like this std::vector<A*> m_args .... std::ostream os; for_each( m_args.begin(), m_args.end(), bind(&A::printNode, _1, os) ); What is the problem with this code? Thanks, Gokul.
