  • Core Animation Unwanted Text Sharpening.

    Whenever I add a layer for Core Animation either from the nib or programatically, the NSTextFields (labels) in my interface get messed up. Here's a screenshot from Apple's BasicCocoaAnimations example. (Look at the text fields on the left, somehow they're drawn sharper than normal) Note that if I add a layer in IB then it also gets messed up in IB itself before I even run my app.

    Hello, i'm using mootools.js, i have this code: this.html.chat_title = new Element('span', {'id' : 'chat_title', html : 'this is the title'}).inject(this.html.container); The problem is: span id="chat_title" html="this is the title" as you see it doesn't put the text inside the HTML of the tag but as an attribute. What is wrong? Thank you so much!

    I want to translate English texts to different languages from my iPad App. These texts are generated dynamically from the front end website so I can use static mapping between English and other language. Basically I will receive line of text in English from the server and I want to convert it to iPad's Locale language settings and display it. Is there anyone I can achieve this?     I've seen questions to prefix zeros here in SO. But not the other way !! Can you guys suggest me how to remove the leading zeros in alphanumeric text. Are there any built-in APIs or do I need to write a method to trim the leading zero's? Example: 01234 converts to 1234 0001234a converts to 1234a 001234-a converts to 1234-a 101234 remains as 101234 2509398 remains as 2509398 123z remains as 123z 000002829839 converts to 2829839

    How can I parse text and find all instances of hyperlinks with a string? The hyperlink will not be in the html format of <a href="http://test.com">test</a> but just http://test.com Secondly, I would like to then convert the original string and replace all instances of hyperlinks into clickable html hyperlinks. I found an example in this thread: Easiest way to convert a URL to a hyperlink in a C# string? but was unable to reproduce it in python :(

    Hi, I have a MS SQL query that is selecting a field and it is being chopped off for some reason it is cutting off text at 257 characters.
