  I'd like to use embedded resources in my XSLT file, but while invoking 'document(...)' C# complains that "Error during loading document ..." I'd like to use defined resources in XSLT file and get them by this: "document('')//my:resources/"...   I am trying to create an AppWidget, in which the background color of a TextView changes at random at specified periodic interval. If i remove the above line everything works fine. • Google Reader API HTTP Response parsing (Objective C)

  Using the API, trying to get items in a specific feed returns this: {“direction”:”ltr”,”id”:”feed/http://arstechnica.com/index.rssx”,”title”:”Ars Technica”,”description”:”The Art of Technology”,”self”:[{"href":"http://www.google.com/reader/api/0/stream/contents/feed/http://arstechnica.com/index.rssx?ot\u003d1273193172856169\u0026r\u003dn\u0026xt\u003duser/-/state/com.google/read\u0026n\u003d4\u0026ck\u003d1273193873\u0026client\u003diPadReader"}],”alternate”:[{"href":"http://arstechnica.com/index.php","type":"text/html"}],”updated”:1273193873,”items”:[]} They look like key/value pairs but it’s plain text with UTF8 String encoding and won’t encode into a dictionary. I’m using Objective-C and I’m not sure where to go from here. So far I’ve been able to parse the XML response for unread items, but parsing the plain-text doesn’t look feasible. What is your practice?

  I am using iso-8859-15 encoding both in xml data and in the xslt style sheet. But when I try convert XML doc to FO document 'œ' does'nt show up it shows up as '?' Below is the example of the problem I am facing. The xml data is as follows: Nous sommes sous l'emprise du Divin cœur de Celui que mon fils vénère par-dessus in the fo file the same line is generated as : --------Nous sommes sous l'emprise du Divin c?ur de Celui que mon fils vénère par-dessus As you see all the other accents are getting generated fine except for the 'œ'character. Any help is greatly appreciated. This one issue is holding up a project.

• XML/XSD intellisense not working in Visual Studio 2010

  I am working on xml and xsd files in VS 2010 but intellisense isn't working. Intellisense is working for the same files in VS 2008, however. When I type '<xs:' options like "attribute", "complexType", "simpleType", or "element" do not appear. Is there some difference between the VS 2008 and VS 2010 that I'm missing? I add an xsd file to my solution. All the proper namespaces are generated automatically as such: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xs:schema id="XMLSchema2" targetNamespace="http://tempuri.org/XMLSchema2.xsd" elementFormDefault="qualified" xmlns="http://tempuri.org/XMLSchema2.xsd" xmlns:mstns="http://tempuri.org/XMLSchema2.xsd" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> </xs:schema> The "xsdschema.xsd" is in the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\xml\Schemas" directory.   i'm trying to send the iOS device name along with the deviceToken to my server in didRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithDeviceToken.. my device has an apostrophe in it and the request string shows as ....&name=John+Doe’s+iPhone ... I've tried replacing "'" with "" and "’" with "" .. but neither fix it.. i assume i need to convert the encoding? • uploadify and absolute filepaths ?

• Changing ActiveRecord attribute value in before_save hook

  I needed to fix the encoding of an ActiveRecord attribute and decided to do it in a before_save hook. And at this point I noticed an unexpected feature. When I wanted to change the value of the attribute, simple using the attribute_name=XY did not work as I expected. Instead of that I needed to use self[:attribute_name]=XY. So far did not recognise this behaviour and I used AR.attribute_name=XY. What is the reason for this? Does this behaviour relate to the hook or something else? Thanks for explanation.

When I go to the end of scrollbar i need to load content again. How can i determine the height of scrollable div ? • Button layed out using layout_toLeftOf in a RelativeLayout does not show up

  Hello all, I am trying to layout a Button to the left of a TextView that is centered on the screen. I get the following result: As you see, the button doesn't show up. It works if I use layout_toRightOf, then the button appears to the right of the TextView, just as expected. Any ideas what I am doing wrong here?

  Hi all, I am having this problem with one of my cakePHP applications. My application displays a big html table on the page. I noticed that when the table goes beyond a certain size limit, IE cannot display that page. While trying to figure out why this happens, I noticed that my html response header contains a HUGE number of lines repeating the same thing. • How to use JQuery UI datepicker with bgIframe on IE 6

  I am trying to use the JQuery UI datepicker (latest stable version 1.5.2) on an IE6 website. But I am having the usual problems with combo boxes (selects) on IE6 where they float above other controls. I have tried adding the bgIframe plugin after declaring the datepicker with no luck. My guess is that the .ui-datepicker-div to which I am attaching the bgIframe doesn't exist until the calendar is shown. I am wondering if I can put the .bgIframe() command directly into the datepicker .js file and if so, where? I have a simple powershell script that just replace text but I found that the regex replace turn my multiline data source into a single line text when the output is produced. I want the line breaks to be preserved. • threaded serial port IOException when writing

  Hi, I'm trying to write a small application that simply reads data from a socket, extracts some information (two integers) from the data and sends the extracted information off on a serial port. The idea is that it should start and just keep going. In short, it works, but not for long. After a consistently short period I start to receive IOExceptions and socket receive buffer is swamped. The thread framework has been taken from the MSDN serial port example. The delay in send(), readThread.Join(), is an effort to delay read() in order to allow serial port interrupt processing a chance to occur, but I think I've misinterpreted the join function. I either need to sync the processes more effectively or throw some data away as it comes in off the socket, which would be fine. But when I pick a large element, the text fields get pushed out to the right. Is there any way to set the maximum size of the spinner so after choosing an element, it shortens the choice with an ellipsis ("...") or something?

• JPA Entity (in multiple persistence-unit) in OSGi (Spring DM) Environnement is confusing me.

  Hi, I'm a bit confused about a strange behavior of my JPA's related objects. I have three bundle : The User bundle does contain some user-related objects, but mainly the User object. The Energy bundle does contain some energy-related objects, and particularly a ConsumptionTerminal which contains a List of User. The Index bundle does contain an Index object that has no dependency at all. My OSGi environment is the following : A DataSource bundle that provide 2 services : dataSource and jpaVendorAdapter. The three bundles. They consume dataSource and jpaVendorAdapter. I'm using named @PersistenceUnit annotation like @PersitenceUnit(name = 'securityPU') (for the User bundle). And finally, I'm using EclipseLink as Jpa provider and Spring DM (+ Spring DM Server in the development process) The problem is the following : When the User bundle is deployed, I'm able to persist User objects. When the User bundle and Energy bundles are both deployed, I'm not able to persist User objects (neither the Energy object). But I don't have any exception at all ! There is no problem at all with the Index bundle. The bug is dataSource independent (I tried with PostgreSQL and MySQL so far). My first conclusion was that the <class>net.nextep.amundsen.security.domain.User</class> in both persistence unit was causing the trouble. I tried without it (and hiding the User dependent object in the Energy bundle) but it failed too. I'm a bit confused about that bug. I'm also not quite sure about the transaction management in this context. I wasn't the one who designed this architecture (but I tell my intern OK without testing it.. shame on me) but if I could understand this bug and maybe fix it without rewrite the bundle (and break my intern work), I would appreciate. Am I doing something wrong ? (it's obvious, but what..) Did I miss something while reading documentation ? By the way, I'm also looking for some best practices or advices when it comes to JPA, EclipseLink (or whatever JPA Provider) and Spring DM (and OSGi in general). I found interesting slides from Mike Keith about this topic (by browsing Stackoverflow).

• How can specific type details be filtered from Dia2Dump ?

  Hello, I need to filter details of specific Type(i.e Custom Type) . DIA2Dump blindly dump everything as type. I need to give it specific custom type as string and as result need all data members(i.e data section of that class). Is there any specific function available in DIA SDK for this. say I have Custom type MyClass and it has 4 variables as data members i.e DWORD data, DWORD location, BOOL MachineType and FLOAT Price. Now I should be able to pass MyClass as in parameter and it should output as data members(listed above as data,location...) of this class. How..?? Regards Regards Usman

• Eclipse complains android:scrollbars and android:fadingEdge do not allow Strings - includes code.

  Having a problem in Eclipse with regards to an XML file. Eclipse complains that android:scrollbars and android:fadingEdge do not allow Strings. I checked the Android developer site and they do in fact accept strings in the xml file. A related question posed had the problem where there was a missing :android after xmlns. As you can see from the code the line beginning with xmlns is correct I believe.
