  • Maven String Replace of Text Web Resources

    I have a Maven web application with text files in src/main/webapp/textfilesdir As I understand it, during the package phase this textfilesdir directory will be copied into the target/project-1.0-SNAPSHOT directory, which is then zipped up into a target/project-1.0-SNAPSHOT.war Problem Now, I need to do a string replacement on the contents of the text files in target/project-1.0-SNAPSHOT/textfilesdir. This must then be done after the textfilesdir is copied into target/project-1.0-SNAPSHOT, but prior to the target/project-1.0-SNAPSHOT.war file being created. I believe this is all done during the package phase. How can a plugin (potentially maven-antrun-plugin), plug into the package phase to do this. The text files don't contain properties, like ${property-name} to filter on. String replacement is likely the only option. Options Modify the text files after the copy into target/project-1.0-SNAPSHOT directory, yet prior to the WAR creation. After packaging, extract the text files from WAR, modify them, and add them back into the WAR. I'm thinking there is another option here I'm missing. Thoughts anyone?

    I am using the negative-text-indent technique I learned to show a text-image to the user, while hiding the corresponding actual text. This way the user sees the fancy styled text while search engines can still index it. However I am started to think this sounds like cloaking since I am serving different content to the user vs the spider. However, I am not using this in a deceitful way. Plus it seems like this is a popular technique. So is it SEO-safe or is it cloaking? Thanks!

    I would like to be able to place the word "hello" centered on a specific point. I need to do this completely in XAML without extra code. Best I can tell, all the text alignment properties/styles in XAML act on text within some bouding canvas or other element. Since I don't know the length of the text I want to center, I can't center it using my own code. The reason I need to solve the problem entirely in XAML is that I'm not using WPF to create the XAML, I'm writing it directly to an XML DOM. It will then be loaded into a Silverlight or WPF control for display. In most graphic languages, including SVG, which is where my code originated, text can be aligned against a "stationary point" without a bounding box. Any suggestions appreciated

  • Getting text at clicked location in an HTML element

    I have a div element containing some text. When the user clicks a word inside that div I'd like to highlight just that word. In order to do this I need to know what character position in the text the click occurred at, so I can then locate nearby whitespace and insert some formatting around the word. Finding out where the click occurred within the text is the trick here. Is that kind of thing possible?

ID (integer with auto-increment) Name (varchar) The text file is a large collection of names with one name per line ... (example) John Doe Alex Smith Bob Denver I know how to import a text file via phpMyAdmin however, as far as I understand, I need to import data that has the same number of fields as the target table.     I have my songs set-up in my MySQL database. Each song is is either assigned multiple locations or has no locations at all. Only the songs that either have no locations assigned in the database or have the location assigned to the ones specified below should be pulled from the database. Hopefully when you understand my query below it will make sense SELECT s.* FROM roster_songs AS s LEFT JOIN roster_songs_locations AS sl ON sl.song_id = s.id WHERE EXISTS ( SELECT sl2.* FROM roster_songs_locations AS sl2 WHERE s.id != sl2.song_id ) OR ( sl.location_id = '88fb5f94-aaa6-102c-a4fa-1f05bca0eec6' OR sl.location_id = '930555b0-a251-102c-a245-1559817ce81a' ) GROUP BY s.id The query almost works except it pulls out of the database songs that are assigned to sl.location_id's that aren't specified in the above query. I think it has something to do with my EXISTS code picking them up... Any ideas how I can get this to work?

    Hi, I'm using Win32 and OpenGL to to draw text onto a window. I'm using the bitmap font method, with wglUseFontBitmaps. Here is my main rendering function: glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT); glPushMatrix(); glColor3f(1.0f, 0.0f, 1.0f); glBegin(GL_QUADS); glVertex2f(0.0f, 0.0f); glVertex2f(128.0f, 0.0f); glVertex2f(128.0f, 128.0f); glVertex2f(0.0f, 128.0f); glEnd(); glPopMatrix(); glPushMatrix(); glColor3f(1.0f, 1.0f, 1.0f); glRasterPos2i(200, 200); glListBase(fontList); glCallLists(5, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, "Test."); glPopMatrix(); SwapBuffers(hDC); As you can see it's very simple and the only thing that it's supposed to do is draw a quadrilateral and draw the text "Test.". But the problem is that drawing a polygon seems to mess up any text operations I try to do after it. If I place the text drawing functions before the polygon, both the text and the polygon draw fine. Is there something I'm missing here? Any help is appreciated.

    Hey guys, Ive got a database full of UK Postcodes, now i'd like to be able to store the latitude and longitude of these specific postcodes along with the record with the database. Is there anyway that i can obtain this data free without violating any T&C's? I know i could do this using google maps api for each postcode, but i have way over 20,000 postcodes in this database and to get the lat and lng for each of these postcodes each time is not an option really.   • Zedgraph textobj X location depends on text length?

    I have a Zedgraph textobj which I want to place always in the same x, y position (ASP.NET image). I noticed that the text doesn't always show in the same starting x position. It shifts depending on the text's length. I tried to have the text to have the same length by padding it with spaces. It helped a little but the result is not always consistent. I am using PaneFraction for coordType. What's the proper method to have a piece of text to always show in the same x position. I am using textobj as a title because the native title property always shows up centered and I need my title be left aligned to the graph.

The problem here is if the user will paste on the text field with non numeric characters. Is there a way/method to disable pasting if the value is non-numeric? Or is there any other approach to handle this situation that you can share?

The code for this particular radio button I'm using is <input type='radio' name='RadioInput' value='Other' id='RadioInput_Other' /> <label for='RadioInput_Other'>Ohter: <input type='text' name='RadioInput_Other_Value' id='RadioInput_Other_Value' value='' /> </label> The idea is that if you give focus to the text input, the radio button corresponding to it is selected. The code above almost does this (since the text input is inside the label). However, it also shifts focus to the radio button (which is annoying, since whatever you type next is lost). Is there any way to prevent this using XHTML1.0 / CSS2? Preferably without using javascript.

However, the ID of the item is an identity value for the database table, so I don't know what the ID will be, and I need this ID so that the user can edit the item later. I'm using ajax to make a POST submit: $.ajax({ url: 'TumourGroup/CreateSub', type: "POST", data: {'pos': index, 'text': text } }); This is linked to an MVC model with three fields, ID, pos, and text. Is there a way for me to get the ID that's generated on POST submit by having CreateSub(int index, string text) return something?

  • MySQL efficiency as it relates to the database/table size

    I'm building a system using django, Sphinx and MySQL that's very quickly becoming quite large. The database currently has about 2000 rows, and I've written a program that's going to populate it with another 40,000 rows in a couple days. Since the database is live right now, and since I've never had a database with this much information in it, I'm worried about some things: Is adding all these rows going to seriously degrade the efficiency of my django app? Will I need to go back through it and optimize all my database calls so they're doing things more cleverly? Or will this make the database slow all around to the extent that I can't do anything about it at all? If you scoff at my 40k rows, then, my next question is, at what point SHOULD I be concerned? I will likely be adding another couple hundred thousand soon, so I worry, and I fret. How is sphinx going to feel about all this? Is it going to freak out when it realizes it has to index all this data? Or will it be fine? Is this normal for it? If it is, at what point should I be concerned that it's too much data for Sphinx? Thanks for any thoughts.

Now according to my project requirements content in textbox should only be 0-9 and a-f (hexadecimal values) and textbox should take the input based on hexadecimal values.     I'm working on a simple spell checking app for a lecture that I'm giving. I've got the basic spell checking code working just fine using a child form and NHunspell - great lib, by the way. However, I'd like for the parent textbox to show the highlighted text for reference, and while I'm setting the SelectedText properties accordingly, the text is not highlighted in the parent. Canceling the child window and the parent text is highlighted. Anybody know how I can do this?

    Hi there, I'm doing a project with reasonalby big DataBase. It's not a probper DB file, but a class with format as follows: DataBase.Nodes.Data=[[] for i in range(1,1000)] f.e. this DataBase is all together something like few thousands rows. Fisrt question - is the way I'm doing efficient, or is it better to use SQL, or any other "proper" DB, which I've never used actually. And the main question - I'd like to save my DataBase class with all record, and then re-open it with Python in another session. Is that possible, what tool should I use? cPickle - it seems to be only for strings, any other? In matlab there's very useful functionality named save workspace - it saves all Your variables to a file that You can open at another session - this would be vary useful in python!
