    I have button-group component which contains a set of button-element components. The template is defined as: {{#each buttons}} {{button-element titleBinding="title" action="buttonAction"}} {{/each}} I'd like the buttonAction() method in the button-group component to have easy access to the set of button-element components and iterate through them. What's the easiest way to do this? I know I could use a jQuery/DOM approach like: this.$('.btn').doSomething(); But I'd like to address the component objects not the DOM directly.

    Im using the MbMenu jQuery plugin. http://plugins.jquery.com/project/mbMenu http://pupunzi.open-lab.com/2009/01/18/mbmenu/ I am probably being ridiculously stupid but I wish to have multiple menus on the same page, but not load them from external files (the html structure of the menu already exists on the page). To me the only place you define what menu is linked to the element you call buildMenu on is the 'template' construction which is a external file. Thanks.

The template thingy in VS does not make the field to go with it. Just looking for something a little bit better. I once saw a web site where you could build this code, then cust-and-paste it from the web page to your code.

  • Membership systems for MVC4 that support RavenDB

    I create a lot of quick "proof of concept" MVC apps and I actually found the SimpleMembership provider that shipped with the MVC4 templates to be very handy since it gets me up and running with user registration & OAuth in a matter of minutes. But...I've started to use RavenDb (on RavenHQ for a lot for my projects). So, I starting trying to implement my own "custom membership provider" based on the ExtendedMembershipProvider and while doing that I realized that didn't make much sense. I later stumbled upon 2 interesting projects that try to solve this exact problem: WorldDomination.Web.Auth: https://github.com/PureKrome/WorldDomination.Web.Authentication MemFlex: https://github.com/OdeToCode/Memflex Both are pretty interesting recent efforts and was wondering if these are the only ones being built right now. I'm essentially looking for nuget pkg that I can drop into a MVC4 app, connect to my RavenDb and be done. I'm willing to build this thing but don't want to duplicate any efforts that are already in motion. Thx!

And I need to create a node for each item in the collection. I know that issue can be solved with a recursive template, but I want to know if it is possible to avoid a recursion.

    Hi all I'm writing a mini-MVC application. App architecture: actions/ templates/ site/ app/ styles/ images/ scripts/ So far, I've got a controller working properly, taking in all requests. However, javascript files are not being rendered properly in the browser; I'm getting a 404 Not Found when I try to load the file in the browser. Here is my current Directory config in a vhost file: DirectoryIndex index.php RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /apps/ecatalogue RewriteRule ^scripts/(.*) - [NC,L] <--- Rule not working RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php [NC,L,QSA] I can confirm everything else works; I just need apache to ignore anything in scripts so the file can be loaded normally without being processed by the controller. That is, I need to change the html (class, id) of the input elements (username, password) of a login form provided by sfDoctrineGuardPlugin.     Hello, At my company we have recently done some tricky stuff with C++ and templates, making use of some features of the compiler. When working with this code people need to take a few setup steps otherwise they get some rather cryptic compiler errors, what I would like to do is determine if there is a way to tell the compiler to inject, and or swap out the message published for an error when compiling? so that I either get a friendly message that instructs the person in conjunction with the cryptic error or instead of the cryptic error.     I am building a website for a client who needs a content management system to go with it. The client requires features such as content staging, approving process before publishing a page, provision for templates (changing which changes the lay out for the whole website), entry and expiry dates for pages and content search. I am planning to use an existing opensource CMS for the work but I am confused as to which one should it be. I need help in deciding whether this approach is good or should i develop my own CMS? and if I do use an opensource one, which one is extensible and customisable enough using .NET?
