  • Determine modifier key state without an InputEvent object in Java

    I need to determine the current state of the Shift key, but at the time I need the state I don't have an InputEvent object around. I need something like java.awt.Toolkit.getLockingKeyState(int) that works for Shift, not just the locking keys like VK_CAPS_LOCK. Is there a way I can do this without listening to input events and storing the for later when I need to check the state? Thanks!

  • CouchDB: accessing nested structutes in map function

    I have a document based on a xml structure that I have stored in a CouchDB database. Some of the keys contains namespaces and are on the form "namespace:key": {"mykey":{nested:key":"nested value"}} In the map function, I want to emit the nested value as a key, but the colon inside the name makes it hard... emit(doc.mykey.nested:key, doc) <-- will not work. Does anyone know how this can be solved?

    I use a large (millions) entries hashmap to cache values needed by an algorithm, the key is a combination of two objects as a long. Since it grows continuously (because keys in the map changes, so old ones are not needed anymore) it would be nice to be able to force wiping all the data contained in it and start again during the execution, is there a way to do effectively in Java? I mean release the associated memory (about 1-1.5gb of hashmap) and restart from the empty hashmap..

    I have a few tables with the following relationships: Company hasMany Jobs, Employees, and Trucks, Users I've got all my foreign keys set up properly, along with the tables' Models, Controllers, and Views. Originally, the Jobs table had a boolean field called "assigned". The following find operation (from the JobsController) successfully returns all employees, all trucks, and any jobs that are not assigned and fall on a certain day for a single company (without returning users by utilizing the containable behavior): $this->set('resources', $this->Job->Company->find('first', array( 'conditions' => array( 'Company.id' => $company_id ), 'contain' => array( 'Employee', 'Truck', 'Job' => array( 'conditions' => array( 'Job.assigned' => false, 'Job.pickup_date' => date('Y-m-d', strtotime('Today')); ) ) ) ))); Now, since writing this code, I decided to do a lot more with the job assignments. So I've created a new model "Assignment" that belongsTo Truck and belongsTo Job. I've added the hasMany Assignments to both the Truck model and the Jobs Model. I have both foreign keys in the assignments table, along with some other assignment fields. Now, I'm trying to get the same information above, only instead of checking the assigned field from the job table, I want to check the assignments table to ensure that the job does not exist there. I can no longer use the containable behavior if I'm going to use the "joins" feature of the find method due to mysql errors (according to the cookbook).     I'm creating a database with what I anticipate will be a long (perhaps several paragraphs for some tuples) attribute. I'm assigning it text instead of varchar. I have two questions: Should I give a maximum value for the text field? Is this necessary? Is it useful? Since the contents of this field will be displayed on a website in HTML, do I need to include paragraph tags for paragraph formatting when I enter records into mysql?

  • Maven won't use public key to deploy

    I'm using SSH to deploy my Java artifacts to a server. I have the keys set up so that I can interactively SSH to the server without requiring a password, but when I try to run the "mvn deploy" or "mvn release:perform" commands, it hangs (at what I assume is the password prompt). My ~/.m2/settings.xml file contains the username for the server (because it is different than my local username) and references the id of the server that requires the different user.

  • ColdFusion's cfquery failing silently

    I have a query that retrieves a large amount of data. <cfsetting requesttimeout="9999999" > <cfquery name="randomething" datasource="ds" timeout="9999999" > SELECT col1, col2 FROM table </cfquery> <cfdump var="#randomething.recordCount#" /> <!---should be about 5 million rows ---> I can successfully retrieve the data with python's cx_Oracle and using sys.getsizeof on the python list returns 22621060, so about 21 megabytes. ColdFusion does not return an error on the page, and I can't find anything in any of the logs. Why is cfdump not showing the number of rows? Additional Information The reason for doing it this way is because I have about 8000 smaller queries to run against the randomthing query. In other words when I run those 8000 queries against the database it takes hours for that process to complete. I suspect this is because I am competing with several other database users, and the database is getting bogged down. The 8000 smaller queries are getting counts of col1 over a period of col2. SELECT count(col1) as count WHERE col2 < 20121109 AND col2 > 20121108 According to Adam Cameron's suggestions. cflog is suggesting that the query isn't finishing. I tried changing the queries timeout both in the code and in the CFIDE/administrator, apparently CF9 no long respects the timeout attribute, regardless of what I tried I couldn't get the query to timeout. I also started playing around with the maxrows attribute to see if I could discern any information that way. when maxrows is set to 1300000 everything works fine when maxrows is 1400000 or greater I get this error when maxrows is 2000000 I observe my original problem Update So this isn't a limit of cfquery. By using QueryNew then looping over it to add data and I can get well past the 2 million mark without any problems. I also created a ThinClient datasource using the information in this question, I didn't observe any change in behavior. The messages on the database end are SQL*Net message from client and SQL*Net more data to client I just discovered that by using the thin client along with blockfactor1="100" I can retrieve more rows (appx. 3000000).

    I'm trying to achieve something really basic but jquery isn't doing what I expect! I have a div with an id of "stuff". In the css I set the display attribute to "none" with the aim of changing it with jquery. This way the div is hidden unless the user has js enabled. My jquery code is simply $("#stuff").show(); unfortunately this isn't working and the div remains hidden.

I need a way to export that data during a migration, where I know the entity that's being converted and save the blob to a file, writing the location of that file into the converted entity's appropriate attribute. I can't seem to find a way to do this. The docs regarding the Three Stage Migration seem to indicate what can be done, but I'm not sure where to define things, or what exactly to define.
