  • Is there a Better Way to Retreive Raw XML from a URL than WebClient or HttpWebRequest? [.NET]

    I am working on a Geocoding app where I put the address in the URL and retreive the XML. I need the complete XML response for this project. Is there any other class for downloading the XML from a website that may be faster than using WebClient or HttpWebRequest? Can the XMLReader be used to get the full XML without string manipulation and would that be faster and/or more efficient?

  • Microformat combination to use with events data on a map

    I have event data displaying on a map and I am currently using the geo microformat alongside it however it's not particularly rich to have just a list of locations without any details of what they correspond to. I've been looking at combining microformats to achieve this and looking for some thoughts on the subject here is the data i am marking up: event title, event location [latlong], event address, contact phone, link to full details My initial thoughts are to use an hCard along with geo?     I'm using ECJ with Java. I have an army of individuals who I all want to have the same brain. Basically, I'd like to evolve the brains using GP. I want things like "if-on-enemy-territory" and "if-sense-target" for if statements and "go-home" or "move-randomly" or "shoot" for terminals. However, these statements need to be full executable Java code. How can I do this with ECJ?

If my the full project tree looks like this: Project Root |-Feature1 | |-SubFeature11 | \-SubFeature12 |-Feature2 | |-SubFeature21 | \-SubFeature22 |-file1 \-file2 I want be able to checkout only subset like this: Project Root |-Feature1 | \-SubFeature12 |-Feature2 | \-SubFeature22 |-file1 \-file2 So do you know any version control system that allows to do selective checkout or a view on a repository?

Compile code or increase .cfg parameter 'control' If so, how may i run the compiled code under eclipse? I've tried running the project but the listener just ends without accepting any queries....?

  • Downloading PDB file for machine not connected to the internet

    For deubgging some process I will need to download the PDB files for some operating system dll files (OLE32, NTDLL, etc.) That server is not connected to the internet. I know the following method to get the PDB. Get full dump of the process Copy the dump to another machine where internet connection is available Use .reload to download the PDB files Copy the PDB files from the local PDB store Is there any thing more simple or do I have to go through the dumping process?   • Eclipse Package Explorer Zoom?

    Configuring Eclipse to look exactly how you want is a tough job I've found, therefore I'm not going to attempt to do this myself. I'd like to 'zoom out' of the Package Explorer side bar? You see, I like only having my code on the screen with a small section for the files in the project - however I can never see the full path of the file or package I'm currently in because of this. Is there a way to keep the 'main screen' normal, but zoom out of the Package Explorer by about 50%?

  • Highlight DIV and dim the rest on mouseover

    I have a page full of DIVs which contain images. When I mouse over an image I can highlight it or add a shadow to accent it easily by adding class etc but is there a way to dim every other image instead. DIVs are loaded into DOM and I would like the DIV currently hovered over to retain 100% or 1 opacity and the rest of the DIVs on the page to fade to say 70% or 0.7 when one DIV is highlighted. Is this possible?
