• Difference between normal and magic setters and getters

  I am using a magic getter/setter class for my session variables, but I don't see any difference between normal setters and getters. The code: class session { public function __set($name, $value) { $_SESSION[$name] = $value; } public function __unset($name) { unset($_SESSION[$name]); } public function __get($name) { if(isset($_SESSION[$name])) { return $_SESSION[$name]; } } } Now the first thing I noticed is that I have to call $session->_unset('var_name') to remove the variable, nothing 'magical' about that. Secondly when I try to use $session->some_var this does not work. I can only get the session variable using $_SESSION['some_var']. I have looked at the PHP manual but the functions look the same as mine. Am I doing something wrong, or is there not really anything magic about these functions.

Using just OR won't work because I need the person who play 'Tennis' AND 'Soccer'. But using AND also doesn't work because the values aren't on the same row.

Why does doing it the template_query itself changes? I'm new to python and I'm getting pretty confused.

  Dear Experts I am trying to scrape a lot of data from the European Parliament website for a research project. Ther first step is the create a list if all parliamentarians, however due to the many Eastern European names and the accents they use i get a lot of missing entries. Here is an example of what is giving me troubles (notice the accents at the end of the family name): ANDRIKIENE, Laima Liucija Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) So far I have been using PyParser and the following code: parser_names name = Word(alphanums + alphas8bit) begin, end = map(Suppress, "<") names = begin + ZeroOrMore(name) + "," + ZeroOrMore(name) + end for name in names.searchString(page): print(name) However this does not catch the name from the html above. I know that it Delegates all other attributes from Person class. but I do not understand the way it works. for example why from Person class? as I do not explicitly tell it to. person(module is different than Person(class) Any help is highly appreciated :)

  Let's say I have 2 instance of a class called 'Animal'. Animal has 3 fields: Name, Age, and Type The name field is nullable, so before I insert an instance of Animal as a Lucene indexed document, I check if Animal.Name == null, and if it does, I do not insert it as a field in my document. If I were to retrieve all animals, I would see that the Name field does not exist and I can set its value to null. However, there may be situations where I want to say "Get me all animals that do not have a name specified yet." In this situation I want to retrieve all Lucene.NET documents from my animal index that do not contain the Name field. Is there an easy way to do this with Lucene.NET? I want to stay away from having to perform some sort of hack to check if my name field has a value of 'null'.

  I can perfectly call a WCF web method from localhost. The problem is when a try to access it from another computer. I get the 405: Method Not Allowed. But It doest make sense because It works fine when i access it remotely from the publisher computer as I said. Any idea? Now when I want to inject my Service into my controller i get an error for dependency with the Dao and further down the sessionFactory. I don't want to inject these again cause this will ultimately lead me to eventually create a data source but I have my Daos for data access and they already know about sessionFactory. • Making a textfile into a list in matlab?

  I have a textfile and would like to import it onto Matlab and make it a list Person1 name = steven grade = 11 age= 17 Person2 name = mike grade = 9 age= 15 Person3 name = taylor grade = 11 age= 17 There are a few hundred entries like these above. Each are seperated by a blank line I was thinking I could scan the text and make the information between each blank line into an item in the list. I also would like to be able to look up each person by name once I have a list like the one below. I want something like x = [Person1 Person2 Person3 name = steven name = mike name = taylor grade = 11 grade = 9 grade = 11 age = 17 age = 15 age = 17] This seems very straight forward but I have been having trouble with this so far, I may be overlooking something. anyone have any ideas or advice?

  Hello all this is my first post. I'm working on a homework assignment with the following parameters. Piecework Workers are paid by the piece. Often worker who produce a greater quantity of output are paid at a higher rate. 1 - 199 pieces completed $0.50 each 200 - 399 $0.55 each (for all pieces) 400 - 599 $0.60 each 600 or more $0.65 each Input: For each worker, input the name and number of pieces completed. There should be one detail line for each worker, which shows the name, number of pieces, and the amount earned. Compute and print totals of the number of pieces and the dollar amount earned. Processing: For each person, compute the pay earned by multiplying the number of pieces by the appropriate price. Accumulate the total number of pieces and the total dollar amount paid. Your nested if-else statement, accumulators, count-controlled loop, should be properly designed to process the data correctly. The code below will run, but does not produce any output.
