How do I render only part of a texture to a point sprite in OpenGL ES for Android?

Using the libgdx framework, I've figured out how to render a texture to a point sprite. The problem is, it renders the entire texture to the point sprite, where I only want a small part of it (since it's an isometric tile image). de-assign alt + right arrow

I'm trying to map View.NavigateBackward and View.NavigateBackward like so: View.NavigateBackward = Alt + LeftArrow View.NavigateForward = Alt + RightArrow Pretty simple to do in Visual Studio with the Keyboard Options dialog. OK so I've assigned the shortcuts and the NavigateBackward one is working. But NavigateForward, which used to be assigned to Edit.CompleteWord, is staying with its old assignment. I've checked that Edit.CompleteWord is assigned to 'Ctrl+K, W' but the Alt+RightArrow is still behaving as complete word. Is there something special about the arrow keys that I can't assign them? I want to do this so the mouse buttons behave the same in VS 2010 and my web browser. Works fine for the back button, but the forward button won't re-assign properly. Suggestions?

The drop event contains the dropSite reference, which is the row key of the tree node that received the drop event. The code then sets the key to the tree in a call to getRowDate() returns the node information for the drop target (the department). This however causes the tree state to go out of synch with its model (ADF tree binding), which is known to cause issues. In this use case the issue caused by this is that the context menu no longer shows up. Help, I need to debug my BrowserHelperObject (BHO) (in C++) after a internet explorer 8 crash in Rel

Hi, here is the situation, i'm developping a Browser Helper Object (BHO) in C++ with Visual Studio 2008, and i learned that the memory wasn't managed the same way in Debug mode than in Release mode. So when i run my BHO in debug mode, internet explorer 8 works just fine and i got no erros at all, the browser stays alive forever, but as soon as i compile it in release mode, i got no errors, no message, nothing, but after 5 minutes i can see through the task manager that internet explorer instances are just eating memory and then the browser just stop responding every time. Please, I really need some hint on how to get a feedback on what could be the error. I heard that, often it was happening because of memory mismanagement. I need a software that just grab a memory dump or something when iexplorer crashes to help me find the problem. Any help is appreciated, I'll be looking for responses every single days, thank you.

I have may application which I can run on Windows Server 2003 and I am curious to know If I could run the same on XP or Vista. Please help me deciding whether I change my OS or not, here is the List of software and app I want to work on: Visual Studio 2008/2010 SQL Server 2008 ASP.NET MVC and Entity Framework WPF application P.S. : I can create all my application [except WPF] with Windows Server 2003. I have a idea that I can install VS 2008 on XP but not exactly sure about MVC framework and other latest technology stuff.

Hello, i am trying to install VS TS 2008 on W7 Ultimate (64bit), but i have run into errors during the setup. Please take note that i have tried to mount the iso to a virtual drive, and also extracted the iso contents to a local folder. Both methods have failed and produce the same error log below. [10/26/09,03:02:40] Runtime Pre-requisites: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Runtime Pre-requisites. MSI returned error code 1603 [10/26/09,03:02:42] VS70pgui: [2] DepCheck indicates Runtime Pre-requisites is not installed. [10/26/09,03:02:42] VS70pgui: [2] DepCheck indicates Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 64bit Prerequisites (x64) was not attempted to be installed. And the list goes on and on.. This is a fresh install of W7, and i have not installed MS Office 2007 at all yet, not sure if it would be causing my errors right now.. I appreciate any help i can get thank you.

Can I use metro style interface in my own web application?

I am wondering if I would need to license the Metro style or if I can just freely use it in my own applications. I mean, is it patented or protected in any way that would prevent me from building my own implementation? I effectively would like to copy the visible part of it. I like to idea of being able to: Provide an interface which is used somewhere else (as in 1 less to learn) Use the interface that has been tested for usability (I personally like it) Have the possibility of getting free publicity because of implementing full Metro style web application while not associated with Microsoft, etc.

Incrementing ticket numbers each time I print

I have an excel sheet where I have a set 4 identical tickets to print per page which we use for stock takes. Rather then creating a huge document with 1000 pages for 4000 tickets each with their own unique ticket number (starting from 1) I would like to find a Macro or function which will print a page with 4 tickets on (1,2,3,4) then continue to print another with (5,6,7,8) and so on. I have found some code that people have already written but it has only applied to one number changing per page rather than 4 simultaneously and being a complete visual basic novice, I was unable to change the code to suit my preferences. If someone could explain simply how I could achieve this I would be very very grateful :)

Object array updates one instance repeatedly [on hold]

I'm making a 2D shooter, and the player object holds an array of bullets that represent how many shots the player can have on screen at once. At least, this is what I'm trying for. What's happening is that each time any of the objects in the array is called, it seems to update a single object in memory. So, if I fire and then fire again, the object "starts over" from where I shot from and moves twice as fast. I've spent weeks trying to fix this and I've managed nothing. Hopefully another pair of eyes will see something I've missed. What happened to Debug test in current context (Ctrl+R, Ctrl+T) in VS2012?

One of the hot-keys I used most in Visual Studio 2010 was Ctrl+R, Ctrl+T, which ran the unit test the cursor currently was on in debug mode. I think the command is named "Debug tests in current context". Now, you still have a command named Test.DebugTestsInCurrentcontext, but when I assign it to a key combination and activate it, it always yields "currently not available". I do know that there is a new function in the Test menu named "Debug selected test" - but I think that mappes to the selected tests in the Test Explorer, not the file editor. What gives, Microsoft? Are you removing features?

Can't step into stored procedure on remote SQL Server 2008

I have a domain installed on virtual Windows Server 2008 x64. SQL Server 2008 Express x64 is running in Windows Server 2008 x64 and client on Windows 7 RTM x86. Both are into the domain. I'm starting both Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server Management Studio 2008 under domain admin user. This account is a member of group sysadmin on SQL Server. Server has firewall exceptions for both TCP and UDP on ports 135-139 and 1433-1434. Visual Studio 2008 Remote debugger services is started on server and Domain Admins group is allowed to debug, When I'm starting debugging of a query in SMS I'm getting this error: Failed to start debugger Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component. I am getting the following error when attempting to build my project in Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition: *Task failed because “sgen.exe” was not found, or the correct Microsoft Windows SDK is not installed. The task is looking for “sgen.exe” in the “bin” subdirectory beneath the location specified in the InstallationFolder value of the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A. You may be able to solve the problem by doing one of the following: 1) Install the Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5. 2) Install Visual Studio 2008. 3) Manually set the above registry key to the correct location. 4) Pass the correct location into the “ToolPath” parameter of the task.* I tried downloading Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5, and still get the error. I also tried downloading the Windows 7 SDK and .NET Framework 3.5 and still same result. I also tried to manually editing the registry to change the InstallationFolder and I tried repairing the Visual Studio install. The project was originally created on WinXP and I am trying to compile on a reformatted machine running Windows 7 Enterprise.

I have been using Windows 7 for a while but have not had to work with a particular legacy intranet application since my upgrade. Unfortunately, this application is setup as an ASP.NET Website project hosted on a remote server. When I have the website open in Visual Studio 2008 and try to debug it I get the following compiler error: Request for the permission of type 'System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission' failed To resolve this issue on Windows Vista machines, I would change the machine's .NET Security Configuration trust level to full for the local intranet (fix outlined here). I believe this configuration utility relied upon the mscorcfg.msc which from some cursory research appears to be apart of the .NET 2.0 SDK. I have tried to follow the instructions from this Microsoft Support article running the command below to no avail. This is probably a simple question but I am developing a web app in C# with DropDownList. Currently it is working for just one DropDownList. But now that I modified the code so that number of DropDownLists that should appear is dynamic, it gives me error; "The name 'ddl' does not exist in the current context." The reason for this error is that there a multiple instances of 'ddl' = number of counters. So how do I instead return more than one 'ddl'? Like what return type should this method have instead? And how do I return these values? Looking for Antlr Grammar syntaxt highlight in VS2010

I am looking for some way to edit antlr grammar files directly within VS2010 with syntax highlight. I have used antlrworks a lot but it has the drawback that I have to start antlrworks separately and then browse to the file I want to edit, do the changed and save. For minor fixes I do not need all the tools in Antlrworks but I still would like the syntax highlight. But I have not been able to get VS2010 to open antlrworks with the right file and I have found no other way to get syntax highlight directly within VS2010 editor, it just opens as plain text. I can get visual studio to open antlrworks but it will open with only the last set of files it had open, not the one I clicked on. So my question(s) are: Is there a way to get antlrworks to open with the right file when I double click in it in visual studio project explorer? Is there any other way to get correct syntax highlight for antlr grammar files within visual studio (or with another editor, preferably not one that costs money, but if there are no free ones a commercial one might be an option).

UPDATE I have just run msbuild /version on both machines and it turns out the .net framework versions are very slightly different. Local machine is 4.0.30319.488 and build server is 4.0.30319.1. I'm about to run windows update on the server to allow it to install some updates, as several seem to be .net framework-related, so I'll see if that makes a difference. UPDATE Installing the updates didn't help. Just remembered I copied up csc.exe from the async preview a little while ago in order to facilitate async compilation (the actual async preview had failed to install on the server due to visual studio not being there, but installing visual studio team viewer seems to have fixed that, so i've just run the proper async ctp3 installer to see if that makes a difference.

.NET Framework 4 in WPF not showing bitmap effect

I am having a problem using VS2010 and framework version 4 with bitmap effects. If I have the code below and run it in a WPF application using the .NET Framework 4 Client Profile, the bitmap effect does not appear. If I set the framework version to .NET Framework 3.5 Client Profile (and change no code), it runs as expected. At first, I thought it was a problem in my application, but I removed the code and put it in a separate standalone application and it behaves the same. Anyone else verify that the same problem happens? What is happening here?
