  • Open txt files from a directory, compare the values, and output the top 15 in PHP

    Hello, I recently designed a referral game website for the fun of it. There's a simple MySQL user system with a email verification. It's using the UserCake user management system. On top of this i added a php page that the user could give to "victims" that when they visit it they get "infected" and can infect other users or "victims". This page uses GET to get the username from the url. I have a folder that when a user registers it creates a file with 4 digits and then the username. (ex; 0000Username.txt) All the numbers are the same, it's just so that if a user discovers the folder they won't be able to find the files. There is also a txt file in the same format with IPS in the name. (ex; 0000IPSUsername.txt) The file when visited gets the username from the url, then checks if the text file for that username exists. If the username is present in the url, and a valid user it opens the IPS file and adds the IP of the visitor, then opens the user text file, takes the value and adds one to it, and saves. At the end it makes the difference between saying "You are infected, Username has infected (amount) people." or just you have been infected. Now to what i need! I need to add a hi-scores to the website so people can compete to be the one with the most "infections". I thought i could use readdir to get a list of the files and open them with the value in an array, but i need it to also strip the username from the file name. It would be best if it just saves to a text file like "Username | value" because then i can add echo's of the html tags and have it include the file in the page i want it to be one.   • Ajax: strange behaviour while checking a textfield

    I have a registration form with checking the available name for username field through ajax. Inputing a username into username field and pushing the "Check!" button, the script sends value to php script. Then php script replaces the username field with the username field + style like this: <input type="text" name="login" value="'.$_GET["user"].'" style="width:205; height:22; border-width:1; border-color:red; border-style:solid; background-color:rgb(255,232,230);"> So when replacing the username field in the form with its equivalent from php script and then submitting a form, it is then get to script on the page that checks whether the username field is empty or not. And it returns an error that it is empty, though after checking through ajax the username field it has value. I don't understand why it gets to empty field checking script, having the same field name and having value?

    Hi. I need help with accessing class properties within a given class. For example, take the below class: public partial class Account { private Profile _profile; private Email _email; private HostInfo _hostInfo; public Profile Profile { get { return _profile; } set { _profile = value; } } public Email Email { get { return _email; } set { _email = value; } } public HostInfo HostInfo { get { return _hostInfo; } set { _hostInfo = value; } } In the class "Account" exists a bunch of class properties such as Email or Profile. Now, when I want to access those properties at run-time, I do something like this (for Email): _accountRepository = ObjectFactory.GetInstance<IAccountRepository>(); string username = Cryptography.Decrypt(_webContext.UserNameToVerify, "verify"); Account account = _accountRepository.GetAccountByUserName(username); if(account != null) { account.Email.IsConfirmed = true; But, I get "Object reference not set..." for account.Email... Why is that? How do I access Account such that account.Email, account.Profile, and so on returns the correct data for a given AccountId or UserName.     Hi all, i have two webapps.. that share ASP.Net membership tables. Converted at the time the membership user is created! So if the password is PASSWORD, typing PASSWORD allows me to authenticate. but typing password does not! Even though i can see the string being sent is PASSWORD (converted with toUpper()). I am at a complete loss on this.. in the other app i can type in lower or upper or mixed and i am able to authenticate. In the other app i am not using the textboxes from the login control though.. not sure if this is making the difference??

This works fine - there are no problems with its functionality. However it feels 'slow' and 'sluggish'. Is there a cleaner/faster way to accomplish this task?   • I'm trying to pass a string from my first ViewController to my second ViewController but it returns NULL

    In my first view controller I have 3 input fields each of them take the user input into and saves it into a string such as: address, username and password as NSUserDefaults. This part works fine. In my second view controller I'm trying to take the 3 strings from first controller (address, username and password) create a html link based on the 3 strings.   • Nearest PC equivalent to Mac Target Disk Mode?

    Mac firmware has a special boot mode that allows you to offer its internal hdd to another computer as an external disk (you just connect the two machines via an IEEE 1394 cable). Only the second machine needs a functioning OS installed. Any good suggestions for something similar on the PC side of things? Block level access isn't important to me, I'd just like to be able to copy files off it. It doesn't matter to me if it uses Ethernet, IEEE 1394, or wifi - I just like having a quick way to access files on a client PC. Is there any single-purpose Linux distro specially designed to do this? It'd be nice to have something super simple, quickbooting, and small that I could install on a USB drive. I used to use Knoppix, but it's overkill as a Target Mode replacement.

Here is the data table: Date Item Quantity Operator 01/01/2014 Item1 3 John 01/01/2014 Item2 5 John 02/01/2014 Item1 7 Bob 02/01/2014 Item2 4 John 03/01/2014 Item1 2 Bob 07/01/2014 Item2 3 John On 01/01/2014 John made 3 of Item 1 and 5 of Item 2. If we only had the first 2 rows we can guess that it takes 0.375 days to make Item 1 and 0.625 days to make Item 2. I want to be able to calculate this on average using all the data and taking in to account the operators obviously working on different items. Thank you

    I can get the password and group from the LDAP client getent passwd getent group work sucessfully But when I try 'su USERNAME' the name from the LDAP server or 'ssh USERNAME@localhost' it prompt me a user password, I typed exactly the USERNAME password but it return "su : Authentication Failure" or "Permission denied, Please try again". I don't know why? it only work when I was at root at the client and "su USERNAME"

    Hello, I have a web server running some PHP that checks for an image (curl -F 'imageName=@myimage') and it also checks the POST data for username=&password=. When the PHP checks _REQUEST I can just do: curl -F 'imageName=@myimage' 'http://www.example.com/?upload=1&username=test&password=test' I need to instead check _POST for username and password due to specs. How can I upload the image and have the username=&password= post data? Any help appreciated!

    I am having this problem (apache2, ubuntu 12.04) I have put all my sites in /home/username/vhosts folder I have added permissions to home and username to be x and chmod -r 777 on vhosts Added /etc/hosts to access my sites with desired names Did a2enmod rewrite But still I have this error: [Sat Jun 23 00:05:23 2012] [crit] [client 127.0.0.1] (13)Permission denied: /home/username/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable WHY is it not readable? I did sudo -s su - www-data and with that I can correctly list the /home/username dir What is wrong with me or apache?

  • Does connecting to the default host via public IP from within its subnet cause any issues?

    I'm setting up a small office network with a single public IP (let's say it's 69.16.230.117). I've configured NAT on the router with incoming traffic forwarded to the server (say the server has a private IP of 192.168.0.2). Is it okay to configure the client machines on the same subnet to access the server via the router's public IP (69.16.230.117)? In practice it's never caused me problems, but I've heard, here and there, that it is a bad idea, and one should use the private IP (192.168.0.2). Does connecting to the default host via public IP from within its subnet cause any issues? Please refrain from writing "never! it breaks the intranet!" ;-)
