  • How to query data from a password protected https website

    I'd like my application to query a csv file from a secure website. I have no experience with web programming so I'd appreciate detailed instructions. Currently I have the user login to the site, manually query the csv, and have my application load the file locally. I'd like to automate this by having the user enter his login information, authenticating him on the website, and querying the data. The application is written in C# .NET. The url of the site is: https://www2.emidas.com/default.asp. I've tested the following code already and am able to access the file once the user has already authenticated himself and created a manual query. I've angle bracketed the real userid and password.   • What are the requirments for ISupportInitialize code to be serialized in InitializeComponent? .Net

    I need to add some code to the EndInit method of a PictureBox control but unfortunately its private and, from what I can gather, I can't shadow it and call base - at least not in VB.Net. What I can do is add a dummy property to my picture box class. The type of the dummy property is simply a class that just implements ISupportInitialize. However, that doesn't work, I need the dummy class to inherit from Control. Is that the minimum requirement?

    Occasionally I will know that there is a .NET Framework function that returns a particular type of object, but I can't recall the property or function name. It would be really nice to be able to somehow scan the Framework or other DLL for functions that return a particular type of object. (For example, it would have helped when I asked this question, and I have a similar question again.) Can anyone suggest how I might do this?

  • SP Gridview link button column not working

    Hi I have one sharepoint custom page application which is rendering from a user control. In the user control page, i had used SPGridview for displaying data. My first column is Title Column (link button column), when the user click on the link, then one popup window will open with corresponding data. But the problem is the link button is not working properly. But this application is working as fine in asp.net application.   • .NET Recaptcha https

    We've started using the ASP.NET recaptcha control and it works fine. but one of the requirements we have is that all outbound traffic goes over Https. I know that recaptcha supports https, but It's not clear how to configure (or even if it is configurable) when using the ASP.NET plugin option. has anyone got any experience of this? I'll expand a little on what I've found so far.... The Recaptcha package contains 3 public classes RecaptchaControl, RecaptchaValidator and RecaptchaResponse RecaptchaControl is an Asp.NET control, the recaptcha specific methods on there seem to be concerning themes/look and feel. An instance of the Validator has a RemoteIP field (which I presume would represent the verification server), but I can't a way of binding that to the control. RecaptchaResponse seems to more or less represent an enum with possible responses (valid/invalid/failed to connect).

Error Message : `Unhandled exception at line 86, column 11 in http://localhost:1706/Home/About 0x800a01b6 - Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method` And give me two options, Continue or Break . If i continue, the page loads with features as i mentioned earlier. If i Break, then it stays in the jquery.tinymce.js file with a yellow text-background. I have no experience with Javascript/jquery. And new in ASP .NET MVC 4.0, actually this is my first try of web application in .net. I updated jquery from nuGet. What could be the possible ways to solve it?

When I try to deploy the site to Windows 2008 R2 , IIS 7.5 , the url always return 404. First, my application pool is running on .Net 4.0, and Integration mode.   • Access Controller Context/ TempData from business objects

    I am trying to build a session/tempdata provider that can be swapped. The default provider will work on top of asp.net mvc and it needed to access the .net mvc TempData from the business object class. I know the tempdata is available through the controller context, but i cant seem to find if that is exposed through HttpContext or something. I dont really want to pass the Controller context as an argument as that would dilute my interface definition since only asp.net based session provider needs this, other (using NoSQL DB etc) doesn't care about Controller Context. To clarify further, adding little more code here. my ISession interface look like this. and when this code goes to production, the session/tempdata is expected to work using NoSql db.   • Adding an ASP website in IIS7.5 on Windows 7

    enter preformatted text hereI'm trying to add an ASP website under IIS 7.5 on Windows 7 and am having no luck so far. This site is just for me to hit locally. I need to make some changes to some of the HTML in some of the ASP files and I just need to be able to test my changes as I make them. I installed IIS and checked the box for ASP. Next, I added an Application Pool which I called ASP and which has "No Managed Code" and "ASP" set. Next, I added the website by right-clicking "Sites" then clicking "Add Web Site...". I gave it a name, set it to use the ASP app pool, pointed it to the path where the ASP code is (I left it at pass-through authentication), and typed in 5555 as the port, so as to not interfere with the default website. The code is sitting on my server and the path simply uses the mapped drive that I always use to access files on that drive array. When I type in http://mysite:5555, I get "could not find mysite:5555". I don't really know if all these settings are correct or what else I should try. What am I missing? Thanks, Jay

I've been closely communicating with the core team of this very, very interesting, brand new social network (with specific purpose!) about the concept, idea and the vision they have for their product and I can say with a lot of confidence that this network has real potential to become something from which we will all benefit.
