• suspend error on 14.04 LTS

  I've looked around and seems like various problems around suspend are wide spreaded for 14.04 release, nevertheless I haven't seen exactly my problem reported, nor my laptop model mentioned. So, the problem. When I press sleep button system seems to be going into suspend, i.e. screen goes black, it stops responding on the keyboard and wireless LEDs turn off, however the power LED doesn't go into suspend state and CPU fan also keeps spinning. But unlike the other problem described here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1315435 when I close the lid and reopen it - system wakes up and goes back to normal locked screen state, so reboot is not needed. System details: This is a clean freshly installed Ubuntu 14.04, 32bit Laptop Dell D630 kernel 3.13.0-34-generic

  On the previous version of Facebook Pages I was able to specify in which language (or even countries) I wanted to publish a post. I've searched a LOT of time everywhere and I do not find anything like that since the timeline has landed on Facebook Pages. Do you know how I could publish something on a Facebook Page but only for ONE language? Because publishing things in several languages could get the "page fans" angry (too many new items that they could not read) and unlike the page. I would really appreciate how to find some language-specific options for new publications on a Facebook Page (I am admin of that page, of course). Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks you

• php apache unknow 500 error

  I currently have an error with my apache/php installation on a centos system. I checked the log files in /var/log/httpd and in my logs directory as specified in my virtual host file, but they are not getting populated with errors. I've also set php to log errors, through the php.ini, to the /var/log/httpd/ but the error file is not getting created. When I setup the display_errors = On in the php.ini all I get is a blank screen. this is a git controlled project that is running off of an ubuntu server that works perfectly, so there is something missing from this server. My question is, is there any way I can get more info on the error that I am getting? I just need something that I can trace back. I am using a codeigniter framework, so for me to trace through the code will take days. Thanks!

• Analytics - Total events divided by number of unique pages?

  I am using Google Analytics events to track keywords on my articles - not necessarily the best system I know but there are too many for variables I can't easily change it right now - and I would like to be able to see how popular each keyword is by dividing the number of page views with a keyword by the number of unique pages. Is there a/what is the best way of doing this? EDIT FOR CLARITY I currently have a system set up where every time somebody loads an article an event is fired for each of the tags/keywords used, with the keyword being the label. I can currently view my view count for each of the keywords by looking at the total events for each label, however I would like to be able to see which keywords are the most popular by dividing the number of times the event has been fired by the the number of different pages it has been fired from.

• "Permission denied" error

  Alright so I installed Ubuntu last night and I am very new to everything. Right now I am trying to run a program called JES, (Jython Environment for Students). The instructions tell me to cd to the JES directory I have, so I type cd /home/Programs/JES It takes me to the directory I need to be in, so far so good. Then I have to type in: ./JES.sh And I get this returned to me: bash: ./JES.sh: Permission denied I have very little comprehension of what to do in Terminal or anything of the sort. Any help would be appreciated. I have tried using sudo -l to get permissions but it still persists.

  Our company has developed a Single Page Application using AngularJS and its routing. Google indexed our site decently with JavaScript but it did not index some pages very well so we have developed an HTML only version. We have followed the Ajax Crawling Specification posted here and have a <meta name='fragment' content='!'> tag and canonical urls. We expect http://www.example.com/foo/bar to be fetched from http://www.example.com/?_escaped_fragment_=/foo/bar. However, we have found out that when we rolled the AJAX specification we now have all pages indexed twice, once with the JavaScript version as http://www.example.com/foo/bar and once with the new version as http://www.example.com/#!/foo/bar. This is harmful to us since it's duplicate content and also mis-representing out site. I have tried looking for similar questions here and in the Google product forum but could not come up with anything.

• Apache 406 error with JPEGCam

  We have recently migrated our website to a new server, and JPEGCam is now reporting a 406 (Not Acceptable) error when trying to upload the image from the SWF to the server. I know that it isn't supported any more by the developer, but I wondered if anyone has encountered this problem before. I suspected the issue was with the Mod_Security module in Apache (i.e. not whitelisting Shockwave Flash), but the server admins have also drawn a blank. The request is being sent as a POST method, and returns a 406 error, but according to the Apache logs, it is returning a 404 error. I wondered if anyone has encountered this problem before, or knows of a 'simple' fix. Everything was working on our Xampp flavour dev server, so I am 100% certain this is an Apache issue. Also, when trying to access the requested page directly in the web browser, everything gets served up without a problem...

So I disabled secured browsing option in facebook and tested in facebook appcentre. After disable secured browsing , the site was worked well till yesterday.But Today, I tried to check the output, It showing this error "The server refused the connection". How can I fix this error. • All created VPNs result in Error 720

  I have a few different VPNs I need to connect to. I'm using windows 8 and standard ptpp VPN. Every VPN I have created though results in the same error: Error 720: A connection to the remote computer could not be established You might need to change the network settings for this connection The VPN works in Windows 7 and XP. I'm not sure if this has something to do with my new laptop or if its something with Windows 8 itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if there is any extra info I can provide please let me know. Edit: I've tried with virus scanner turned off and windows firewall turned off as well and I still receive the same error message.

• Problem connecting to Hsqldb via Hibernate when running a Eclipse GWT project.

  Hi, I'm trying to run a simple GWT project where I'm trying to do a simple persitence via hibernate to a HSQLDB database. The database I'm using I have been using for at least 2 years with several osgi applications without any problems. So all I done is reused the same configuration and added a simple object mapping file. The problem I have is that I get a socket creation error when ever I try to persist the object with in GWT jetty. I now the database is up and running, I can telnet to it, run OSGI projects that uses the same config with out problems.   My Requirement: I have this straight forward requirement of listing names of people in alphabetical order in a Indexed table view with index titles being the starting letter of alphabets (additionally a search icon at the top and # to display misc values which start with a number and other special characters). What I have done so far: 1. I am using core data for storage and "last_name" is modelled as a String property in the Contacts entity 2.I am using a NSFetchedResultsController to display the sorted indexed table view. Issues accomplishing my requirement: 1. First up, I couldn't get the section index titles to be the first letter of alphabets. What I have tried: 1.   Hi everybody. I've stumpled upon a strange behavior in IE(6/7/8) that drives me nuts. Given the following markup: <input type="text" value="foo" class="bar" cache="yes" send="no" /> Please note that the cache attribute is set to yes. However IE somehow manages to change the attributes value to cache="cache" when rendering the DOM. So, I wonder, is there an undocumented feature that I'm not aware of? I've googled about an hour now but couldn't find any info on this (not even on MSDN). NOTE I'm aware that adding custom attributes is non-standard compliant and that boolean attributes should be noted as attribute="attribute. Nevertheless I have to cope with these as they were introduced long before I joined the team. These custom attributes are used in conjunction with javascript to provide a more user friendly approach to form handling (and it works out quite well with Firefox/Safari/Opera/Chrome). I know that I could simply convert these custom attributes to x-data attributes that will be introduced with HTML5 but that would take me several hours of extra work - sigh. • Which Java Framework is best suited for a web application with reusable content/behavior

  I come from a .NET background and need to do a web project in Java. I have read a bit on all the different Java web frameworks out there: JSF, Stripes, Wicket, Tapestry etc. But I would like to hear from people with real-life expertise with these frameworks. Of course I want a framework that is up to date, supports AJAX, is cool and so on, but one of my main criteria is the ability to somehow create reusable components / tags. The customer needs to be able to move tags/components around without too much problem in order to customize it for their specific needs. In ASP.NET Webforms I would use custom controls and user controls for this, and in ASP.NET MVC I would use user controls as well as home made custom controls. So what Java frameworks excel in this? My own superficial research seems to conclude that JSF supports some kind of custom controls (Bear in mind i am not only talking about layout reuse, but also behavior reuse, so if for example the customer / client wants a customer list on page x and not only on page Y, he would simply put in a <jr:CustomerList runat="server" .... /> (fictional example with ASP.NET Webforms syntax)).

  I have a custom UITableViewCell with a custom layout. I wanted a gradient background, so in my UITableViewDelegate cellForRowAtIndexPath: method, I create a CAGradientLayer and add it to the cell's layer with insertSubLayer:atIndex: (using index 0). This works just fine except for two things: Most importantly, I can't figure out how to change to a different gradient color when the row is highlighted. I have tried a couple things, but I'm just not familiar enough with the framework to get it working. Where would be the ideal place to put that code, inside the table delegate or the cell itself? Also, there's a 1px white space in between each cell in the table. I have a background color on the main view, a background color on the table, and a background color on the cell. Is there some kind of padding or spacer by default in a UITableView?

• Error Running MVC2 application in IIS on .NET 4.0

  I recently installed the RTM version of 4.0. I now receive an error when running MVC2 websites in a .net 4 app pool. The error is "User is not available in this context." All works fine on .net 2.0 app pools or if I run the app within the VS10 web server. The error only occurs in IIS on .net 4.0. To verify that it was not something specific to my app, I created a new MVC test app from the VS template and even that app encounters this error. My next step is to reinstall .net 4.0. Has anyone else seen this error?

  I'm writing my first Qt application with PyQt and am having some trouble creating a custom list view. I'd like the list to contain arbitrary widgets (one custom widget in particular). How would I go about this? It seems that the alternative would be to create a table or grid view wrapped in a scrollbar. However, I'd like to be able to take advantage of the model/view approach as well as the nesting (tree-view) support the built-ins handle. EDIT: To clarify, this widget is interactive (contains buttons), so the solution requires more than painting a widget.
