  • Nhibernate linq group by duplicate fields

    - by jaspion
Hello, I have a simple query like: from e in endContratoRepository.GetAll() where e.Contrato.idContrato == contrato.idContrato && e.Volume.idVolume == 1 && group e by new { e.dpto.idDepartamento, e.centroCusto.idCentroCusto } into grp select new Entidade { Contagem = grp.Count(), centroCusto = grp.Key.idCentroCusto, dpto = grp.Key.idDepartamento } and the problem: The fields that are in the group by, are duplicated in the generated query. The fields centroCusto and dpto appears twice, so when I try to get the field centroCusto, I get dpto. Anyone know how to solve this? thanks a lot!

  • C++ DLL which can inform a calling program about its progress

    - by Felix Dombek
My boss wants me to write a DLL in C++ (MSVC++2010) which can perform a Volume Shadow Copy which he can call from VB6 (or at a later point other languages) and which can give status updates back while it is not finished. He calls it "events". I have the feeling that I finally need to learn COM (I'd rather not ...) ... also, a callback function comes to my mind, but it's surely impossible to hand over function pointers from VB6 to C++? Can someone outline what I have to learn and how this can be accomplished, with or without COM?

  • SQL - when should you use "with (nolock)"

    - by Andy White
Can someone explain the implications of using "with (nolock)" on queries, when you should/shouldn't use it? For example, if you have a banking application with high transaction rates and a lot of data in certain tables, in what types of queries would nolock be okay? Are there cases when you should always use it/never use it?

  • Get info about Http Post field order

    - by Eugene
Is it possible to get information about post field order in ASP.NET? I need to know whether some field was the last one or not. I know I can do it through Request.InputStream, but I’m looking for a more high level solution without manually stream parsing. Generally I’m doing testing of http post sent by my application and there is no practical usage for this in ASP.NET.

  • snmp and platform specific information

    - by reza
I need to come with a strategy to use gather information about the health of my linux platform, hardware health such as high CPU temperature and may be disk space usage, etc... I know my examples are not very good ones. Essentially, I have an SNMP agent running on Linux and I need it to provide platform specific health and state information. Are there any Linux packages that do this, what MIBs to use, Dell Open Manager functionality??? Any thoughts and comments are appreciated.

  • Key Events in TabActivities?

    - by stormin986
I have a TabActivity and want to catch and handle presses of HOME and BACK. Where do I need to catch these events? In my subclass of TabActivity I implement the following: @Override public boolean onKeyDown(int keyCode, KeyEvent event) { switch (keyCode) { // Code handling } return super.onKeyDown(keyCode, event); } Didn't work. So I placed a breakpoint on the switch statement line. But this function never gets called, whether I press volume up/down, menu, home, or back. Where do I need to catch these KeyEvents?

  • Update (ajax) only part of table without affecting whole table

    - by ile
    <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" class="list"> <tr> <th><a href="#" class="sortby">Full Name</a></th> <th><a href="#" class="sortby">City</a></th> <th><a href="#" class="sortby">Country</a></th> <th><a href="#" class="sortby">Status</a></th> <th><a href="#" class="sortby">Education</a></th> <th><a href="#" class="sortby">Tasks</a></th> </tr> <div class="dynamicData"> <tr> <td>Firstname Lastname</a></td> <td>Los Angeles</td> <td>USA</td> <td>Married</td> <td>High School</td> <td>4</td> </tr> </tr> <tr> <td>Firstname Lastname</a></td> <td>Los Angeles</td> <td>USA</td> <td>Married</td> <td>High School</td> <td>4</td> </tr> </div> </table> The idea is to update table rows when clicking on link with clasl "sortby" which is part of th table tag. I tried inserting div but this doesn't work. Separating this in two tables is not good solution because witdh in both tables cell are not following each other. Any other solution? Thanks

  • Latency on mobile networks (Android)

    - by Meep3D
I am planning to give mobile phone development a shot and was thinking about making some simple multiplayer games. I know latency over local wifi is probably fine but what are the issues with latency over GPRS/3G? I've searched and the best I've seen is someone saying it was 'high', without presenting any concrete numbers. I suppose latency fluctuations are important as well - does anyone have any info on this?

  • How is the implicit segment register of a near pointer determined?

    - by Daniel Trebbien
In section 4.3 of Intel 64® and IA-32 Architectures Software Developer's Manual. Volume 1: Basic Architecture, it says: A near pointer is a 32-bit offset ... within a segment. Near pointers are used for all memory references in a flat memory model or for references in a segmented model where the identity of the segment being accessed is implied. This leads me to wondering: how is the implied segment register determined? I know that (%eip) and displaced (%eip) (e.g. -4(%eip)) addresses use %cs by default, and that (%esp) and displaced (%esp) addresses use %ss, but what about (%eax), (%edx), (%edi), (%ebp) etc., and can the implicit segment register depend also on the instruction that the memory address operand appears in?
