  • Why does 'uses unit' disappear when I had a new unit ?

    I have a Unit test project for my Application using DUnit framework. This project have a unit surrounded by a $IFDEF to output test-results in a xml file instead of the gui or just command line. XML_OUTPUT define is enabled by switching the Build configuration. program DelphiCodeToDoc_Tests; uses TestFramework, TextTestRunner, Sysutils, Forms, GUITestRunner, {$IFDEF XML_OUTPUT} XmlTestRunner2 in 'DUnit_addon\XmlTestRunner2.pas', {$ENDIF} DCTDSetupTests in 'IntegrationTests\DCTDSetupTests.pas', ... This works perfectly. The issue starts when I'm adding a new unit to this project from the IDE (a new unit with 'FileNewUnit'). The Test project is now : uses TestFramework, TextTestRunner, Sysutils, Forms, GUITestRunner, DCTDSetupTests in 'IntegrationTests\DCTDSetupTests.pas', ... MyNewUnit in 'IntegrationTests\MyNewUnit.pas'; As you see, the test XML_OUTPUT has disappeared ... Each time I'm adding a unit, Delphi IDE deletes this test. Do you know why and how I can avoid it ?

    Hi, I'd like to create a folder under a package in Eclipse... The purpose of this folder is merely for organizational purposes. Meaning, I don't want it to be another package. Every time I try to add a folder under a package, it just creates a package instead. I'd like to have the following structure: project/src/package1/someClass.java project/src/package1/someFOLDER/anotherClass.java project/src/package1/package2/anotherFOLDER/oneOtherClass.java Is it possible to do this without adding a package? I come from a .NET/C# and C++ background... here I'd just add a folder and the reference to that class would be updated in the project. How can I just add an organizational folder in eclipse? Thanks

    Hello everyone. I am trying to start a new project (asp.net MVC) and I would like to apply some DDD rules I've learned in these last few months. I don't know how to organize my solution though. I would like to use Nhibernate but I don't want to use Fluent Nhibernate cause it must be something like an experiment. I've seen some examples where people keep everything in the same project. Some others tend to create a different project for everything. Do you think I should differentiate the model and the repository or put it in the same project? If someone has some links to articles etc it would be appreciated. thanks Alberto

    I just created a template project for Scala using Ant and Apache Ivy. I want to get the communitie's input on any improvements to the Template so it can be improved. The Environment effectively consists of 3 files: build.xml ivy.xml ivysettings.xml running ant init will create all needed directories.     Can a xaml.cs file call the method in a c# class library ? I am trying to add a Silver light control to my Existing ASP.NET project where i used to add reference to my BL Project and acces methods of BL from My UI pages of ASP.NET Web application.Now i have added one Silver light project to my solution.How can i use the already existing BL method which is in a C# class library ? When tried to add reference, it is saying that "You can only add project reference to other silver light projects in the solution". Should i give up ? Is there any way to get rid of this ?
