    I have an Appwidget displaying days until an event like: eventname (-231 days) If possible I want to display this String in one line. If the eventname is too long I want to display the full term in braces into a new line. So that it is like: longeventname (-231 days) instead of: longeventname (-231 days) (or anything similar) Is there a way to archive this? Can I make (-231 days) "atomic"? string.getLength won't work since the size of the widget will vary by device.

  • Visual Studio 2010 : Cant change target. Gives TargetFrameworkMoniker Error.

    I have a console application which has target .NET 2.0 It is very short but full of unsafe code. I converted it to VS 2010. I run it OK. When I try to change "target framework" in properties to 3.5 or 4.0 it shows message box: TargetFrameworkMoniker: Error parsing application configuration file at line 0. XML document must have a top level element. the target then stays 2.0 anyway... Any thoughts?

  • unwanted space before and after nested html table using Internet Explorer 8

    I have an html table nested in an html table cell. I want the nested table to use the full size of the cell it is nested in. When I use firefox or google chrome I get the result I want but when I use Internet Explorer 8 (even if I use td style="height="100%") the height of the nested cell depends on it's content. As a result I get whitespace before and after my nested table.

In order to achieve a full text search engine I have following doubts : For database based search engine should I use just lucene or some other utility based on Luncene like Solr, luSql, Compass etc. In case of Solr, can it be embeded in to the web applcation rather than deploying it as a seaparate WAR.   • Create a Counter within a For-Loop?

    I am a novice programmer and apologize upfront for the complicated question. I am trying to create a lexical decision task for experimental research, in which respondents must decide if a series of letters presented on the screen make a "word" or "not a word". Everything works reasonably well except for the bit where I want to randomly select a word (category A) or nonword (category B) for each of 80 trials from a separate input file (input.txt). The randomization works, but some elements from each list (category A or B) are skipped because I have used "round.catIndex = j;" where "j" is a loop for each successive trial. Because some trials randomly select from Category A and other from Category B, "j" does not move successively down the list for each category. Instead, elements from the Category A list may be selected from something like 1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 10, and so on (it varies each time because of the randomization). To make a long story short(!), how do I create a counter that will work within the for-loop for each trial, so that every word and nonword from Category A and B, respectively, will be used for the lexical decision task? Everything I have tried thus far does not work properly or breaks the javascript entirely. Below is my code snippet and the full code is available at http://50.17.194.59/LDT/trunk/LDT.js. Cucumber is actually not too bad, but the full rSpec suite currently takes nearly 20 minutes to run. The systems I can find (hydra, parallel-test) look like they use forking, which isn't the ideal solution for the JRuby environment.

  • IIS web server could not be browse in the LAN, only locally

    Hi, I had installed a new IIS7 on a Win2008. Everything worked perfect on the server, but everytime a computer in the LAN tried to browse the web server the client got an error 401 - No autorizado: acceso denegado debido a credenciales no válidas. No tiene permiso para ver este directorio o esta página con las credenciales que ha proporcionando. The IIS user had full permission in the fily system and on the IIS. Have anyone an idea why this could be happening? Thanks

    I've got a table (col1, col2, ...) with an index on (col1, col2, ...). The table has got millions of rows in it, and I want to run a query: SELECT col1, COUNT(col2) WHERE col1 NOT IN (<couple of exclusions>) GROUP BY col1 Unfortunately, this is resulting in a full table scan of the table, which takes upwards of a minute. Is there any way of getting oracle to use the index on the columns to return the results much faster?
