• How do I get rid of the space between <img> elements in a row in a html page?

  I'm displaying 3 <img> in a row like this: <div style="width: 950px"> <img src='/UploadedImages/86.jpg' alt='' style="width: 300px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 1px solid Black" /> <img src='/UploadedImages/85.jpg' alt='' style="width: 300px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 1px solid Black" /> <img src='/UploadedImages/84.gif' alt='' style="width: 300px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 1px solid Black" /> </div> As you can see I have thin black borders around the images. My problem is that there are white spaces about 5px wide between the borders of neighbouring images and I have set the margin to be 0px but it does not work. So what is happening here?

  I'm working on dropdowns in IE6 (SELECT with OPTIONs as children). I'm experiencing the problem where, in IE6, dropdown menus are truncated to the width of the SELECT element. In other browsers, blur causes every OPTION to not be highlighted. Using JS, how can I de-highlight an option after the dropdown has lost focus.

• Facebook - generating fb tag in Jquery - not working

  Hey guys Kind of stuck here - I have this functionality on my site where I display 10 user comments along with their photo and when a user clicks on "More" - using Jquery more results are fetched from DB and the results are displayed via string generated in the Jquery method. • Why does my Google maps api v3 and side panel not fill my page upon resizing?

  I'm developing a web page and I have a side panel on the left with a search bar and a Google maps api v3 filling the rest of the page to the right. When I make the browser very small vertically, there is a white space between the side panel and the map, and the bottom of the browser. However, the text continues to the bottom of the browser. • nextSibling difference between IE and FF?

  Hi fellows, I just wrote a javascript code for layering in raphaeljs it works perfectly on FF. But it doesn't on IE. The problem is IE returns null for nextSibling for any object. How does one use it correctly, or is there a nextElementSibling call in IE? Instead of getting a nice table header with rounded corners you get this weird gap between the cells. Where are the gaps coming from? Besides fixing this ugly issue, I would like to understand the rationale as to why all browsers render the HTML this way.

How can I get rid of this extra condition, or even, are there far more optimal solutions?

• flex positioning a button within a panel

  All I'm trying to do is place a button inside of a panel, rotate that button (so it is vertical) and place it on the edge of the panel. I can;t seem to do this correctly. I am just trying to move it somewhere, and nothing is working. Also, the text seems to dissapear when I rotate it on a 90% axis. Anyone know what I can do for this?

• Re-authentication required for registered-path links (to ASP.NET site) coming to IE from PowerPoint

  We're using URL routing based on Phil Haack's example, with config modifications based on MSDN Library article #CC668202, to provide "shareable" links for a ASP.NET forms site, and have run into a strange issue: For users attempting to open links from PowerPoint presentations, and who have IE set as their default browser, using one of these links forces (forms-based) re-authentication, even in the same browser instance with a live session. Info: We know the session is still alive. (Page returns information for the currently logged-in user; confirmed via debug watches) This doesn't happen with other browsers (FF, Chrome) or with other programs (Notepad++) as the URL source. We do not have a default path set, as this caused issues with root path handling at initial login. This primarily happens with PowerPoint, but will also happen in Word and OCS. On some machines, even after changing the default browser, Office apps will continue to use IE for these links, forcing this error. (A potential registry fix for this failed, but even if it had worked, we can't control default browser choice for our users.) We can't figure out if this is an Office oddity or is being caused by our decision to use app-level URL routing (rather than IIS rewriting). Has anyone else encountered this and found a solution?

For some reason, there is a small bottom padding in each <td>which is messing things up. • How do I avoid killing the native controls on a html5-video when i've started it programmaticly?

  OK, so the deal is I've started making a little videoplayer, that works by clicking a div with an image, expanding the div and the image, and then exchanges the image with a html5-videotag. the code is as below.   i have a problem with a http post call in firefox. I know that when there are a cross origin, firefox first do a OPTIONS before the POST to know the access-control-allow headers. With this code i dont have any problem: Net.requestSpeech.prototype.post = function(url, data) { if(this.xhr != null) { this.xhr.open("POST", url); this.xhr.onreadystatechange = Net.requestSpeech.eventFunction; this.xhr.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "application/json; charset=utf-8"); this.xhr.send(data); } } I test this code with a simple html that invokes this function. Everything is ok and i have the response of the OPTIONS and POST, and i process the response. But, i'm trying to integrate this code with an existen application with uses jquery (i dont know if this is a problem), when the send(data) executes in this case, the browser (firefox) do the same, first do a OPTION request, but in this case dont receive the response of the server and puts this message in console: [18:48:13.529] OPTIONS http://localhost:8111/ [undefined 31ms] Undefined... the undefined is because dont receive the response, but the code is the same, i dont know why in this case the option dont receive the response, someone have an idea? i debug my server app and the OPTIONS arrive ok to the server, but it seems like the browser dont wait to the response. edit more later: ok i think that the problem is when i run with a simple html with a SCRIPT tag that invokes the method who do the request run ok, but in this app that dont receive the response, i have a form that do a onsubmit event, i think that the submit event returns very fast and the browser dont have time to get the OPTIONS request. edit more later later: WTF, i resolve the problem make the POST request to sync: this.xhr.open("POST", url, false); The submit reponse very quickly and can't wait to the OPTION response of the browser, any idea to this?

• CSS 100 percent height body and element

  I am having an issue making one of my elements 100% within an overall layout that is 100%. I have tried different positioning solutions and I either end up with hidden content the floats behind the footer at the bottom, or the content ends up going behind the footer, and carrys on after the footer. • Can you override just part of a control template in silverlight

  Is it possible to change or modify a specific part of a control template without having to recreate the entire control template of the control in the xaml? For example, I was trying to get rid of the border of a textbox, so I could throw together a basic search box with rounded corners (example xaml below). Setting the borderthickness to 0 works fine, until you mouse over the textbox and a pseudo border they added to the control flashes up. If I look at the controltemplate for the textbox, I can even see the visual state is named, but cannot think of how to disable it.   Below I have a "button" (just a span with an icon) that creates a pop-up view of a div in my application to allow users to compare information in seperate windows.
