I checked crontab for scheduled tasks, there is nothing in there but still these rules appear every minute... please help!

• Running django custom management commands with supervisord

  I'd like to use supervisord to run some commands for my Django project but I keep getting the following error: supervisor.log: 2012-05-18 17:52:15,784 INFO spawnerr: can't find command 'source' If I remove the "source" command, the log shows the same error: can't find command 'python'. supervisord.conf excerpt: [program:django] directory=/home/mf/projects/djangopj/ command=beanstalkd -l 127.0.0.1 -p 11300 command=source /home/mf/virtualenvs/env/bin/activate command=python manage.py command1 command=python manage.py command2 user=mf autostart=true autorestart=true I tried removing the directory and adding the absolute path to the commands but I kept getting the same error. I run supervisord with the following command: supervisord -c supervisord.conf -l supervisor.log

• svnserve accepts only local connection

  I've installed svnserve in linux box konrad. On konrad I can checkout from svn: steve@konrad:~$ svn co svn://konrad A konrad/build.xml On my local Windows pc i can ping konrad, but checkout doesn work: C:\Projects>svn co svn://konrad svn: E730061: Unable to connect to a repository at URL 'svn://konrad' svn: E730061: Can't connect to host 'konrad': ??????????? ?? ???????????, ?.?. ???????? ????????? ?????? ?????? ?? ???????????. My linux firewall is disabled: konrad# iptables -L Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination and windows firewall is also off (I can't send screen shot here, so believe me). How can I fix that? Any ideas?

  I tried to build the linux kernel 3.0.4 on ubuntu 11.10 in virtualbox. Here are my steps: Download the source code tar xjvf linux-source-3.0.0.tar.bz2 cd linux-source-3.0.0 make menuconfig, changed nothing but used the default config and save to .config make Actually I think it should be 3.0.4 because from the Makefile I could see VERSION = 3 PATCHLEVEL = 0 SUBLEVEL = 4 EXTRAVERSION = Then at stage 2 which is to make modules, an error happened: ERROR: "__modver_version_show" [drivers/staging/rts5139/rts5139.ko] undefined! make[1]: *** [__modpost] Error 1 make: *** [modules] Error 2 Perhaps because 3.0.4 is a new release so that I can not find any same problem asked nor any solution to it.

  I have 2 .pyo python files that I can convert to .py source files, but they don't compile perfectly as hinted by decompyle's verify. Therefore looking at the source code, I can tell that config.pyo simply had variables in in an array: ADMIN_USERIDS = [116901, 141, 349244, 39, 1159488] I would like to take the original .pyo and disassembly or whatever I need to do inorder to change one of these IDs. Or.... in model.pyo the source indicates a if (productsDeveloperId != self.getUserId()): All I would want to do is hex edit the != to be a == .....Simple with a windows exe program but I can't find a good python disassembler anywhere. Any suggestions are welcomed...I am new to reading bytecode and new to python as well.

• Backing up Hyper-V VMs using "wbadmin" failing on Windows Server 2012

  I'm trying to backup a single VM using "wbdamin". I'm using this command-line: wbadmin start backup -backupTarget:d: -hyperv:VM_Machine_Name -quiet But the backup have no success. Looking at my Events, I get the following information: Source: SSP Event ID: 16387 Level: Error "Writer Microsoft Hyper-V VSS Writer experienced some error during snapshot creation. More info: ." ============================= Source: Backup Event ID: 521 Level: Error "The backup operation that started at '?2014?-?06?-?11T15:38:44.459000000Z' has failed because the Volume Shadow Copy Service operation to create a shadow copy of the volumes being backed up failed with following error code '0x8100010C'. • Designing a large database with multiple sources

  I have been tasked with redesigning, or at worst optimising the structure of a database for a data warehouse. Currently, the database has 4 other source databases (which is due to expand to X number of others), all of which have their own data structures, naming conventions etc. At the moment an overnight SSIS package pulls the data from the various source and then for each source coverts the data into a standardised, usable format. These tables are then appended to each other creating a 60m row, 40 column beast!. This table is then used in a variety of ways from an OLAP cube to a web front end. The structure has been in place for a very long time, and the work I have been able to prove the advantages of normalisation, and this is the way I would like to go. The problem for me is that the overnight process takes so long I don't then want to spend additional time normalising the last table into something usable. Can anyone offer any insight or ideas into the best way to restructure or optimise the database efficiently? Edit: All the databases are MS SQL Server 2008 R2 Thanks in advance CM

• Linking Libraries in iOS?

  This is probably a totally noob question but I have missing links in my mind when thinking about linking libraries in iOS. I usually just add a new library that's been cross compiled and set the build and linker paths without really know what I'm doing. I'm hoping someone can help me fill in some gaps. Let's take the OpenCV library for instance. I have this totally working btw because of a really well written tutorial( http://niw.at/articles/2009/03/14/using-opencv-on-iphone/en ), but I'm just wanting to know what is exactly going on. What I'm thinking is happening is that when I build OpenCV for iOS is that your creating object code that gets placed in the .a files. This object code is just the implementation files( .m ) compiled. One reason you would want to do this is to make it hard to see the source code and so that you don't have to compile that source code every time. The .h files won't be put in the library ( .a ). You include the .h in your source files and these header files communicate with the object code library ( .a ) in some way. You also have to include the header files for your library in the Build Path and the Library itself in the Linker Path. So, is the way I view linking libraries correct? If , not can someone correct me on this ?

• A better way to encourage contributions to OSS

  Currently in the .NET world, most OSS projects are available via a NuGet package. Users have a very easy path towards *using* the project right away. But let’s say they encounter some isssue (maybe a bug, maybe a potential improvement) with the library. At this point, going from user to contributor (of a fix, or a good bug repro or even a spike for a new feature) is a very steep and non trivial multi-step process of registering with some open source hosting site (codeplex, github, bitbucket, etc.), learning how to grab the latest sources, build the project, formulate a patch (or fork the code), learn the source control software they use (mercurial, git, svn, tfs), install whatever tools are needed for it, read about the contributors workflow for the project (do you fork &amp; send pull requests? do you just send a patch file? do you just send a snippet? a unit test? etc.), and on, and on, and on. Granted, you may be lucky and already know the source control system the project uses, but in really, I’d say the chances are pretty low. I believe most developers *using* OSS are far from familiar with them, much less with contributing back to various projects. We OSS devs like to be on the cutting edge all the time, ya’ know, always jumping on the new SCC system, the new hosting site, the new agile way of managing work items, bug tracking, code reviews, etc. etc. etc..   On Linux, I installed php 5.3.8 from source. Using phpize for installing an extension works fine but not on one specific extension (mysqlnd). # cd /opt/php/5.3.8/ext/pdo && /opt/php/5.3.8/bin/phpize ... this runs ok # cd /opt/php/5.3.8/ext/mysqlnd && /opt/php/5.3.8/bin/phpize Cannot find config.m4. Make sure that you run '/opt/php/5.3.8/bin/phpize' in the top level source directory of the module` As you can see error can not be that I am not on top level source directory since I am. I tried to call phpize from ext folder - did not work either! For info I have m4 installed Any idea? Thanks :)

  I want to block all subnets outside the US. I've made a script that has all of the US subnets in it. I want to disallow or DROP all but my list. Can someone give me an example of how I can start by denying everything? • Allow certain users to access a specific directory?

  I'm trying to figure out how to allow certain users who are also me to access a directory of files that I want to use for all of my users. I'm using cPanel and I used WHM to create three separate accounts. The files I want to use are on account1 in the directory /home/account1/public_html/source/engines and I want the directory /home/account2/public_html/source/engines to use the same exact files without having to upload them to both places every time I change them, so I created a simple symbolic link and added account2 to the group account1 (while still keeping its own group as the primary). It still gives me a Permission Denied error though. Is there any way I can grant account2 and other accounts that I create for myself access to those files? I don't want them to be global to all users because I don't want my hosted users to be able to access them, only my users. groups account1 returns account1 : account1 groups account2 returns account2 : account2 account1 /home/account1/public_html/source/engines and all its files belongs to account1:account1 Any other information you might need just ask.

• Ubuntu 13.10 AMD/ATI proprietary driver slow boot time, black screen after logging in and lengthy login/logout delays

  Ubuntu 13.10 is causing me major headaches with my AMD/ATI HD 5770 GPU. Below is a list of problems I am currently encountering. 1) The boot time is extended by at least 25s after installing catalyst 13.4. Using open source radeon drivers, my boot time till the login screen is ~10s. With catalyst 13.4 installed, the boot time increases to ~35s. This was not the case in Ubuntu 13.04, 12.10 or 12.04. I have done the driver installation manually (instructions from wiki.cchtml.com) and using software center and there is no difference. I have not tried the catalyst 13.8 beta driver. 2) After manual installation of catalyst 13.4, I get stuck at a black screen after logging in. I have to purge fglrx to resolve the problem. I tried sudo amdconfig --initial -f but it didn't help. 3) The delay between logging in and unity being displayed is ~10-15s for BOTH open source and proprietary drivers. During the delay, it's just a black screen. Whenever I logout, there is again a ~10-15s delay with the login screen appearing stuck before lightdm allows me to enter my password again. This is ridiculous! Yes, I could stick with open source radeon drivers but I would like to install Steam and play my Valve collection on the machine. Is anybody else encountering similar issues?

• Library missing for executable file

  There's an executable I downloaded onto my Ubuntu 10.04 and I can't run because it's missing a library. I have also tried compiling the source with CMake. This is my Terminal output: zack@zack-laptop:~/Desktop$ ./MultiMC ./MultiMC: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I think I need libssl 1.0 to run this file, but I'm not sure. Any help?

• Sync Google Contacts with QuickBooks

  The RSSBus ADO.NET Providers offer an easy way to integrate with different data sources. In this article, we include a fully functional application that can be used to synchronize contacts between Google and QuickBooks. Like our QuickBooks ADO.NET Provider, the included application supports both the desktop versions of QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online Edition. Getting the Contacts Step 1: Google accounts include a number of contacts. To obtain a list of a user's Google Contacts, issue a query to the Contacts table. For example: SELECT * FROM Contacts. Step 2: QuickBooks stores contact information in multiple tables. Depending on your use case, you may want to synchronize your Google Contacts with QuickBooks Customers, Employees, Vendors, or a combination of the three. To get data from a specific table, issue a SELECT query to that table. For example: SELECT * FROM Customers Step 3: Retrieving all results from QuickBooks may take some time, depending on the size of your company file. To narrow your results, you may want to use a filter by including a WHERE clause in your query. For example: SELECT * FROM Customers WHERE (Name LIKE '%James%') AND IncludeJobs = 'FALSE' Synchronizing the Contacts Synchronizing the contacts is a simple process. Once the contacts from Google and the customers from QuickBooks are available, they can be compared and synchronized based on user preference. The sample application does this based on user input, but it is easy to create one that does the synchronization automatically. The INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE statements available in both data providers makes it easy to create, update, or delete contacts in either data source as needed. Note that this demo is built using BETA builds of the ADO.NET Provider for Google V2 and ADO.NET Provider for QuickBooks V3, and will expire in 2013. In this posting I will show you how to use ASP.NET TreeView control and jQuery UI dialog component to build picker dialog that hosts tree data. If you are going to use it in some real-world application then this mark-up gets even shorter – I am sure that in most cases the data you display in TreeView comes from database or some domain specific data source. Hacking TreeView TreeView needs some little hacking to make it work as client-side component. Be warned that if you need more than I show you here you need to write a lot of JavaScript code. For more advanced scenarios I suggest you to use some jQuery based tree component. This example works for you if you need something done quickly. Number one problem is getting over the postbacks because in our scenario postbacks only screw up things. Also we need to find a way how to let our client-side code to know that something was selected from TreeView. We solve these to problems at same time: let’s move to JavaScript links. We have to make sure that when user clicks the node then information is sent to some JavaScript function. Also we have to make sure that this function returns something that is not processed by browser. Instead of postback our callback function is used and provided with selected values. In this function we are free to use node text and value as we like. Result I applied some more bells and whistles and sample data to source code to make my sample more informative. So, here is my final dialog box. Seems very basic but it is not hard to make it look more professional using style sheets. Conclusion jQuery components and ASP.NET controls have both their strong sides and weaknesses. In this posting I showed you how you can quickly produce good results when combining jQuery  and ASP.NET controls without pushing to the limits. We used simple hack to get over the postback issue of TreeView control and we made it work as client-side component that is initialized in server. You can find many other good combinations that make your UI more user-friendly and easier to use.

  Database migration across platforms of different "endian" (byte ordering) formats using the Cross Platform Transportable Tablespaces (XTTS) process is now certified for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i (11.5.10.2) with Oracle Database 10g Release 2.  This process is sometimes also referred to as transportable tablespaces (TTS).What is the Cross-Platform Transportable Tablespace Feature?The Cross-Platform Transportable Tablespace feature allows users to move a user tablespace across Oracle databases. It's an efficient way to move bulk data between databases. If the source platform and the target platform are of different endianness, then an additional conversion step must be done on either the source or target platform to convert the tablespace being transported to the target format. If they are of the same endianness, then no conversion is necessary and tablespaces can be transported as if they were on the same platform.Moving data using transportable tablespaces can be much faster than performing either an export/import or unload/load of the same data. This is because transporting a tablespace only requires the copying of datafiles from source to the destination and then integrating the tablespace structural information. You can also use transportable tablespaces to move both table and index data, thereby avoiding the index rebuilds you would have to perform when importing or loading table data.
