  Hi, I am doing some Java performance comparison between my classes, and wondering if there is some sort of Java Performance Framework to make writing performance measurement code easier? I.e, what I am doing now is trying to measure what effect does it have having a method as "synchronized" as in PseudoRandomUsingSynch.nextInt() compared to using an AtomicInteger as my "synchronizer". So I am trying to measure how long it takes to generate random integers using 3 threads accessing a synchronized method looping for say 10000 times. I am sure there is a much better way doing this. • Reverse ordered list for jquery submitted comments

  Hey guys I have one more question lol. I am using a script that allows users to submit comments through jquery ajax, however when they are submitted, the submitted comments submit at the bottom of the other comments which are sorted in descending order (newest on top) when the page first loads (due to mysql query).   I'm trying to get Ozeki to recieve SMS messages from my GSM Nokia E63 - it will send messages fine but wont recieve them. • Does posting data with a textarea automatically add slashes to (escape) the text?

  Ok, so I'm having a problem with a simple textarea. I'm using a kind of hidden page to easily encode some data using JSON. However, all of my text input is automatically being escaped somewhere and I don't know where. All of my $_POST variables are automatically run through the htmlentities() function when the script starts up, as seen below: $ani->i->post = $this->clean($_POST, true); function clean($values, $unset = false) { if (is_array($values)) { foreach ($values as $key => $value) { $newkey = strtolower($key); $return[$newkey] = $this->clean($value); unset($values[$key]); } return $return; } return htmlentities($values); } I keep getting \' for all of my single quotes when I put the value back into the textarea. I can't find anywhere where it would be adding slashes and I don't remember it being a feature that they were automatically added when you submit from a textarea, and if that was so, why would they not be returning back to a single quote when put back into the textarea? Do I really need to run variables through stripslashes() to get them back to their original form? • Password Confirmation Overlay

  Hello, I'm creating a J2EE web application that uses jQuery and Ajax to help with some of the presentation for a user-friendly interface. I've done a lot of work ensuring security around persistant login cookies, and I've decided to request the password from any user that logged in using a persistant login cookie before being allowed to make any changes that could be malicious. This request would only happen once to confirm the user is who they say they are and will last throughout the session. At present, any requests that meet this criteria has their request information stored in session and then the user is forwarded to a page to confirm their password. Once confirmed, the user's original request is then performed and the requestion information removed from session. What I would like to do is avoid all this redirection and minimize what's held in session (even if it's just for a small time), thus improving usability and convenience for the user. I believe that a jQuery overlay could allow me to prompt the user for their password (if required) and then continue to submit the request if successful. I would of originally used ThickBox, but since that's now deprecated I don't see the benefit in implementing it in an application at this development stage. However, I have tried to create an overlay using jQuery but I've scrapped every attempt as I can't seem to make it all come together. My main problem is preventing the submission when the user incorrectly types a password or cancels the overlay. Desired Flow Persistant Login Sensitive Page Submit Password Confirmation Overlay [Continue Submit | (Cancel | Incorrect] I have already created JavaScript code to encrypt the password to be sent in a parameter, but all I need now is a method of controlling the overlay and how best to use Ajax for this purpose. I want the default value of $_SESSION['logged'] to be unset prior to the execution of the script. How can I solve this problem?

  I have referenced this previous question as well as other sources, but cannot get CountDownLatch to work correctly. Background: mainFrame creates new Frame called dataEntryFrame. When dataEntryFrame "Submit" button is clicked, record added to database and dataEntryFrame disposed. At this point, mainFrame should clear and reload a jList that shows all records. Issue: When dataEntryFrame loads, java freezes, dataEntryFrame components never load. I cannot get past this part... then, in the DataEntryFrame, CountDownLatch should only decrements after the submit button is clicked, successfully adds a record to a database table, and disposes itself. Or when the user clicks cancel... • Rebind dymanically created forms after jQuery ajax response

  I'm kinda new to jQuery but understand it for the most part. My problem is that when my ajax call which refreshes the entire div is done, all my dynamically created forms don't work. If you try and submit them, the event doens't work properly and just tries to do a normal form submit. I have all the other items such as links bound using the .live() which seem to work great. Just the form dies. How do I rebind the dynamically created forms after the ajax call? They all have id of formname_id. I tried to use bind but it doesn't work as below. Any help is appreciated.   So I've been reading a lot of "Designing with Web Standards" and really enjoying it. I'm a big CakePhp user, and as I look at the source for various form elements that Cake creates with its FormHelper, I see all sorts of extraneous In the book, he promotes semantic HTML, and writing your markup as simple / generic as possible. So my question is, am I better writing my own HTML in these situations? I really want to work in compliance with XHTML and CSS standards, and it seems I'd spend just as much time (if not more) cleaning up Cakes HTML, when I could just write my own thoughts? p.s. • Xcode "Build and Archive" from command line

  Xcode 3.2 provides an awesome new feature under the Build menu, "Build and Archive" which generates an .ipa file suitable for Ad Hoc distribution. You can also open the Organizer, go to "Archived Applications," and "Submit Application to iTunesConnect." Is there a way to use "Build and Archive" from the command line (as part of a build script)? I'd assume that xcodebuild would be involved somehow, but the man page doesn't seem to say anything about this. UPDATE Michael Grinich requested clarification; here's what exactly you can't do with command-line builds, features you can ONLY do with Xcode's Organizer after you "Build and Archive." You can click "Share Application..." to share your IPA with beta testers. As Guillaume points out below, due to some Xcode magic, this IPA file does not require a separately distributed .mobileprovision file that beta testers need to install; that's magical. No command-line script can do it. For example, Arrix's script (submitted May 1) does not meet that requirement. More importantly, after you've beta tested a build, you can click "Submit Application to iTunes Connect" to submit that EXACT same build to Apple, the very binary you tested, without rebuilding it. That's impossible from the command line, because signing the app is part of the build process; you can sign bits for Ad Hoc beta testing OR you can sign them for submission to the App Store, but not both. No IPA built on the command-line can be beta tested on phones and then submitted directly to Apple. I'd love for someone to come along and prove me wrong: both of these features work great in the Xcode GUI and cannot be replicated from the command line.

  Hello, I'm starting in asp.net and am having some problems that I do not understand. The problem is this, I am building a site for news. Every news has a title and body. I have a page where I can insert news, this page uses a textbox for each of the fields (title and body), after clicking the submit button everything goes ok and saves the values in the database. And o have another page where I can read the news, I use labels for each of the camps, these labels are defined in the Page_Load. Now I'm having problems on the page where I can edit the news. I am loading two textboxes (title and body) in the Page_Load, so far so good, but then when I change the text and I click the submit button, it ignores the changes that I made in the text and saves the text loaded in Page_Load. This code doesn't show any database connection but you can understand what i'm talking about. protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { textboxTitle.Text = "This is the title of the news"; textboxBody.Text = "This is the body of the news "; } I load the page, make the changes in the text , and then click submit. protected void btnSubmit_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { String title = textboxTitle.Text; String body = textboxBody.Text; Response.Write("Title: " + title + " || "); Response.Write("Body: " + body ); } Nothing happens, the text in the textboxes is always the one I loaded in the page_load, how do I update the Text in the textboxes?

• struts2: problem in assigning a variable value to checkbox

  Hi All, I am working on struts2. In my jsp page I want to assign the value of a string variable to a checkbox (when it is checked by user). I tried it many times like - <% String code = "decompose"; %> 1) <tr><td> <s:checkbox name="codeCkBox" fieldValue="%{‘code’}" onclick="submit()"/> </td></tr> 2) <tr><td> <s:checkbox name="codeCkBox" value="%{‘code’}" onclick="submit()"/> </td></tr> 3) <tr><td> <s:set name="setCkBoxValue" value="%{‘code’}"/> <s:checkbox name="codeCkBox" fieldValue="# setCkBoxValue" onclick="submit()"/> </td></tr> But everytime when I tried to get this value by checkbox name it returns variable name i.e “code”. Looking for a solution. Thanks in advance.

• Fix a 404: missing parameters error from a GET request to CherryPy

  I'm making a webpage using CherryPy for the server-side, HTML, CSS and jQuery on the client-side. I'm also using a mySQL database. I have a working form for users to sign up to the site - create a username and password. I use jQuery to send an AJAX POST request to the CherryPy which queries the database to see if that username exists. If the username exists, alert the user, if it doesn't, add it to the database and alert success. $.post('submit', postdata, function(data) { alert(data); }); Successful jQuery POST. I want to change the form so that instead of checking that the username exists on submit, a GET request is made as on the blur event from the username input. The function gets called, and it goes to the CherryPy, but then I get an error that says: HTTPError: (404, 'Missing parameters: username'). $.get('checkUsername', getdata, function(data) { alert(data); }); Unsuccessful jQuery GET. • Jquery unidentified data return when post

When i change if(data == '1') it show 'Unknow' too EX: input id = 1 click submit & data return is 'Unknow' Why ?? I think this error from host, because i test it in some free host and it work, but now in my real host i got this error, how i can fix it ?
