  • Mdi Children Changed in .Net

    Hi Is there a simple way of tracking the change of an Mdi's children i.e. when they are created and closed, something like an event OnMdiChildListChanged (I realise this doesn't actually exist). I am also aware that I could have a method within my Mdi that handles the creation of child forms and logs the state of them or even create an Interface that defines that a child form has a "NotifyParent" method that is then called on close of the form, but i was wondering if there was any built in events that i could plumb into?   • Tooltip steals mouse click

    I'm writing a custom TreeView from ScrollableControl. I decided to show tooltips when the mouse hovers over nodes with text too long to display. I find that when tooltips are shown, the user is not able to click the node to select it because (I think) he's clicking the tooltip window, not my control. Is there any easy solutions? As far I can see, System.Windows.Forms.TreeView don't have this problem. Thanks!

    I have an issue with the Windows Forms PropertyGrid control. I have customized the PropertyGrid control and override only OnPaint function. protected override void OnPaint(PaintEventArgs pe) { base.OnPaint(pe); } In my application I have few more controls (treeview, custom control and few form controls). When I mouseclick on the PropertyGrid control, the paint function in all the controls in the screen are being called continuously and the treeview starts flickering. This happens only in mouseclick event.

  • Turn off Jquery UI Accordion animation only during page load

    I'd like to turn off the accordian animation during page load, and then turn it back on after the page is loaded. Basically I've got multiple forms inside the accordion sections and when submitted the page gets reloaded and the relevant section is reloaded. But during the reload the animation is triggered which looks a little ugly. But I like it when the page is not being loaded. How do I achieve this effect?

    I was using something like public int Test(System.Windows.Forms.ListBox.ObjectCollection Colecction) { } With this I want to pass just the ObjectCollection of the control, to sort, add and delete elements without passing the entire control, but someone told me that, this way of calling the collection, actualy, create an entire ListBox, making it a worst decition, than, passing a ListBox as a parameter. Is it true? An if, what's the best way of working whit the collection?

The class works perfectly, I've tested it directly under a view.. I've implemented the thumbnail class inside the save method of the forms to resize the original images on saving. in my design, I have two fields for thumbnails. I was able to generate one thumbnail, if I try to generate two it crashes and I've been stuck for hours not sure whats the problem.   • jquery event listening, non-standard events

    I'm attempting to build a way for my selectors to 'listen' to 'global' events that are beyond the typical 'click' 'change' 'submit' etc. I've explored the various 'eventmanagers' that I could find, and they're all still designed for forms. Is there any way to do something like this for non-standard (i.e. custom) events? The goal is to have selectors subscribe to an event, and then be able to trigger it in one place and it will raise it for everything subscribed to it.

  • How do I link ASP.NET membership/role users to tables in db?

    I am going to use forms authentication but I want to be able to link the asp.net users to some tables in the db for example If I have a class and students (as roles) I'll have a class students table. I'm planning to put in a Users table containing a simple int userid and ASP.NET username in there and put userid wherever I want to link the users. Does that sound good? any other options of modeling this? it does sound a bit convoluted?

    I am having trouble understanding the meaning and more importantly the concept of an object as it relates to jQuery. I understand the basics that its a collection of data that comes in two forms, properties and methods but I kind of get lost on how it works beyond that.
