  • Help with password complexity regex

    I'm using the following regex to validate password complexity: /^.*(?=.{6,12})(?=.*[0-9]{2})(?=.*[A-Z]{2})(?=.*[a-z]{2}).*$/ In a nutshell: 2 lowercase, 2 uppercase, 2 numbers, min length is 6 and max length is 12. It works perfectly, except for the maximum length, when I'm using a minimum length as well. For example: /^.*(?=.{6,})(?=.*[0-9]{2})(?=.*[A-Z]{2})(?=.*[a-z]{2}).*$/ This correctly requires a minimum length of 6! And this: /^.*(?=.{,12})(?=.*[0-9]{2})(?=.*[A-Z]{2})(?=.*[a-z]{2}).*$/ Correctly requires a maximum length of 12. However, when I pair them together as in the first example, it just doesn't work!! What gives? Thanks!

  • Django: Overriding the clean() method in forms - question about raising errors

    I've been doing things like this in the clean method: if self.cleaned_data['type'].organized_by != self.cleaned_data['organized_by']: raise forms.ValidationError('The type and organization do not match.') if self.cleaned_data['start'] > self.cleaned_data['end']: raise forms.ValidationError('The start date cannot be later than the end date.') But then that means that the form can only raise one of these errors at a time. Is there a way for the form to raise both of these errors? EDIT #1: Any solutions for the above are great, but would love something that would also work in a scenario like: if self.cleaned_data['type'].organized_by != self.cleaned_data['organized_by']: raise forms.ValidationError('The type and organization do not match.') if self.cleaned_data['start'] > self.cleaned_data['end']: raise forms.ValidationError('The start date cannot be later than the end date.') super(FooAddForm, self).clean() Where FooAddForm is a ModelForm and has unique constraints that might also cause errors.     I want to use the SqlExpress2008 Bootstrapper for a new installation on Windows7, I do not want to use the default SQLEXPRESS Instance.     Hi all, I have a form that when submitted shows a busy animation and disables the submit button. Anyone know how to query Microsoft's Sys.Mvc.FormValidation to see if the form passed it's test so I can prevent the busy animation showing if the form hasn't actually been submitted? Or even some other work-around?   • asp.net rangevalidator for calendar extender entries gives problems in safari

    Hi there, I have the following scenario: arrival and departure dates have to be selected on a form, through 2 textboxes with a calendar extender each. I validate the entries to check that no date before today is selected and to check that the departure is after the arrival. I used a rangevalidator and a comparevalidator. In IE, Firefox and Opera it is working fine, in Safari (on windows) however both the validators go off even on entries that should be accepted. It makes me suspect that the date format dd/MM/yyyy causes trouble for Safari. (the dd/MMMM/yyyy also gave the same troubles in the other browsers, probably due to the dependency on UIculture) The code is:   The range validator gets its values in code behind on Page_load RangeValidator1.MinimumValue = DateTime.Now.AddDays(1).ToShortDateString(); RangeValidator1.MaximumValue = DateTime.Now.AddMonths(12).ToShortDateString(); Does anybody have any suggestions on how to solve this problem with safari? best regards, Robin

    I'm trying to set up a Spring JPA Hibernate simple example WAR for deployment to Glassfish. I see some examples use a persistence.xml file, and other examples do not. Some examples use a dataSource, and some do not.     Hello, I am building a RoR app, a community. With a User model and some fields. So when a user is updating a certain field, like His/Hers berthday. Then i want to validate that the User typed in the password that is the same in the Database. So I know that it is the right user trying to change the birthday. So i ask you how i can create shuch a validator. Allso i would like to be able to specify an array of which fields the user has to validate the password to change. Ps. I am using RoR3. If it mathers.     Can anyone tell me if/how you can validate the changes in a data context in Linq2Sql before calling SubmitChanges(). The situation I have is that I create a context, perform multiple operations and add many inserts alongside other processing tasks and then rollback if the submit fails. What I'd prefer to do is make some kind of "Validate()" call after certain tasks are done so that I can handle it before submitting the entire job.

  • Incorrect XML produced by SUDS

    Hi, I am trying to talk to a SOAP web service using SUDS and Python. After lots of messing around learning Python (yes I am new to this) and working out how to use SUDS I have come across a problem. The signature of the web method I am calling, according to suds, is (FWTCaseCreate){ ClassificationEventCode = None Priority = None Title = None Description = None Queue = None DueDate = None AssociatedObject = (FWTObjectBriefDetails){ ObjectID = (FWTObjectID){ ObjectType = None ObjectReference[] = <empty> } ObjectDescription = None Details = None Category = None } Form = (FWTCaseForm){ FormField[] = <empty> FormName = None FormKey = None } Internal = None InteractionID = None XCoord = None YCoord = None } So I use SUDS to create the classes that I want and send it to the method. However I get an error. So I turned logging on and I can see that the XML that is being sent is not correct which is causing a deserialize error. If I cut and paste this xml into SOAPUI and first remove this element and then post it directly to the web service it works successfully. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I guess SUDS thinks that it should be there based on the WSDL. Thanks.
