    I'm building a simple program to use in multi processes (Threads). My question is more to understand - when I have to use a reserved word synchronized? Do I need to use this word in any method that affects the bone variables?     Hi, I use this command to copy all files whose names start with 'file' from a server. scp -vp me@server:/location/files* ./ But i got a 'No Match' error. probably Concerning the '' in the command. How can i protect the '' for ssh to understand that this refers to a list of files and not taking it as a filename. Thx August

    Is there an alternative to the ActiveSync "Explore" for looking at the file system of a Windows Mobile device? (This same thing can also be accessed from My Computer - Mobile Device). It would be nice if you could just navigate into the device and view or edit files without having to copy them back and forth from the PC. Why does it work this way in the first place? Is the Explore view sort of a "virtual" version of your phone's file system that cannot be edited directly?

  • swf doesn't respond when relocating it

    Hi, i have in my program few swf files and using mxmlc i compile the application into one swf file. when i open the swf from the output directory(just dbl click) everything works fine. But, when i copy the directory to another location in the hardisk the application stops responding (i can see my swf main picture and its buttons in it. But, when i click a button which just popup a message, it doesn't work!) any help?

    Is there a way to draw on the iPhone screen (on a UIView in a UIWindow) outside of that view's drawRect() method? If so, how do I obtain the graphics context? The graphics guide mentions class NSGraphicsContext, but the relevant chapter seems like a blind copy/paste from Mac OS X docs, and there's no such class in iPhone SDK.

    I've implement my activeX control in Delphi. I've build a c# application to embed it. It runs fine on my computer. After that, I copy and paste all c# solution with the my ocx file to another computer, register by regsrv32.exe succeed, add to COM components on visual studio toolbox, compile and run again. It consistently complains ' System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8000FFFF): Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED)) What's problem I'm dealing with? What may I do wrong?

    I have just downloaded the fresh copy of phppowerpoint and added the following line of code 'phppowerpoint' = MODPATH.'phppowerpoint', and now my page got blank and I got the following error: The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the page must to be declared in the document or in the transfer protocol. Any thoughts? Thanks.

  • Is it possible to Load hbm.xml info at app startup instead of via an embedded resource?

    All of the NHibernate examples I've see that use hbm files have the hbm.xml file set as an embedded resource with "do not copy" chosen in the file properties. This means that if a database column name were to change in production, the app would have to be recompiled with the changes in the hbm.xml file during build time. Is there any way to make NHibernate load the hbm.xml files from the file system at application startup instead of using an embedded version?

    I am using EF4 with Visual Studio 2010. I have a SQL database already created and all my columns are documented with the Description property in SQL management studio. When I create the edmx in Visual Studio, how can I make it read those descriptions and use them to add comments to my generated classes? I know I can use the Summary and LongDescription in the edmx properties but I'm looking for a way to do this without having to copy and paste every description. Thanks!

    Hi i working a fairly large spreadsheet which is broken down into months. I want to put the yearly subtotals at the begining of the spreadsheet. So in cell A1 i want to add AA2-AL2, B1 i want to add AM2-AX2 and so on so forth. How can i do this whithout manually going to each set of values. Here's the Java implementation I would use: java.util.random source Whilst this would be fairly straightforward to port to C and PHP, there is potentially a lot of work to get all the edge cases correct and handle differences in number representation.   • Why can't I get XSLT to work in chrome?

    I have a XSLT sample copied straight from http://www.w3schools.com/xsl/xsl_transformation.asp, which I can't seem to view in Google Chrome. However, it seems to work fine in IE. Does anyone know why this would be? EDIT: The online version works fine, but the local copy does not.
