• Button (using <button> tag) does not display in Opera

  On my website I am using the html 'button' tag but the button does not display when page is opened in Opera version 12.15. Works fine in chrome, firefox and IE. If you go to my cdn test site CDN Comparison u see cloudflare, incapsula and page speed images. below the three cdn images there's a button which does not display. It's supposted to be right above the 'Test and monitor image load speed of the top three Free CDN Service providers' sentence. please help. <button id="button" onclick="changeLink()">Test Another Image</button> I have not added any style to this tag using CSS

• Have a doubt on uritemplates in WCF Services

  I have a webservice with following operation contract and my service is hosted at //localhost:9002/Service.svc/ (I did not put http: before the localhost, as new user can post only one hyperlink) [OperationContract] [WebGet ( UriTemplate = "/Files/{Filepath}" ) ] Stream DownloadFile(string Filepath); This webservice would let users download file, if the proper filepath is provided (assuming, i somehow findout proper filepath). Now, I can access this service from a browser by typing, //localhost:9002/Service.svc/Files/(Filepath} If {filepath} is some simple string, its not a problem, but i want to send the location of the file. Lets us say users want to download file "C:\Test.mp3" on the server. But how can I pass "C:\Test.mp3" as {Filepath}. I get an error when i type http://localhost:9002/Service.svc/Files/C:\Test.mp3 in the browser. I am new to webservices and find that quickest way to clear doubts is in this community.

  hi. I am getting the value of a fckeditor with javascript to show in a dialog as preview. Now I want it to show the html tags like I input them but instead it shows me this <p>&lt;div&gt;test&lt;/div&gt;</p> that is <div>test</div> I use this following code function test() { var oEditor = FCKeditorAPI.GetInstance('FCKeditor1'); var pageValue = oEditor.GetHTML(true); alert(pageValue); } I have tried to change settings like FCKConfig.HtmlEncodeOutput = false; FCKConfig.ProcessHTMLEntities = true; FCKConfig.FormatSource = false; No luck with that. I am getting a little frustrated with this problem now. Anybody got a idea why?

  I don't even know how to explain this, so here is the code I'm trying. class Test: type = self.__name__ #self doesn't work, how do I get a reference to Test? class Test2(Test): pass #Test2.type should return "Test2" The reason I'm even trying this is I'm working on creating a base class for an orm I'm using. I want to avoid defining the table name for every model I have. Also knowing what the limits of python is will help me avoid wasting time trying impossible things.

  I've noticed that MySql has an extensive search capacity, allowing both wildcards and regular expressions. However, I'm in somewhat in a bind since I'm trying to extract multiple values from a single string in my select query. For example, if I had the text "<span>Test</span> this <span>query</span>", perhaps using regular expressions I could find and extract values "Test" or "query", but in my case, I have potentially n such strings to extract. And since I can't define n columns in my select statement, that means I'm stuck. Is there anyway I could have a list of values (ideally separated by commas) of any text contained with span tags? In other words, if I ran this query, I would get "Test,query" as the value of spanlist: select <insert logic here> as spanlist from HtmlPages ...

• jQuery ajax request to php, how to return plain text only

  I am making an ajax request to a php page and I cannot for the life of me get it to just return plain text. $.ajax({ type: 'GET', url: '/shipping/test.php', cache: false, dataType: 'text', data: myData, success: function(data){ console.log(data) } }); in test.php I am including this script to get UPS rates. I am then calling the function with $rate = ups($dest_zip,$service,$weight,$length,$width,$height); I am doing echo $rate; at the bottom of test.php. When viewed in a browser shows the rate, that's great. But when I request the page via ajax I get a bunch of XML. Pastie here: http://pastie.org/1416142 My question is, how do I get it so I can just return the plain text string from the ajax call, where the result data will be a number? • Does Msbuild recognise any build configurations other than DEBUG|RELEASE

  I created a configuration named Test via Visual Studio which currently just takes all of DEBUG settings, however I employ compiler conditions to determine some specific actions if the build happens to be TEST|DEBUG|RELEASE. However how can I get my MSBUILD script to detect the TEST configuration?? Currently I build <MSBuild Projects="@(SolutionsToBuild)" Properties="Configuration=$(Configuration);OutDir=$(BuildDir)\Builds\" /> Where @(SolutionsToBuild) is a my solution. In the Common MsBuild Project Properties it states that $(Configuration) is a common property but it always appears blank? Does this mean that it never gets set but is simply reserved for my use or that it can ONLY detect DEBUG|RELEASE. If so what is the point in allowing the creation of different build configurations?

• Is there a browser-agnostic way to detect client-side script errors with Watin?

  We're using WatiN to test our web portals. During the course of an E2E test, we'll occasionally see client-side script errors on the IE status bar. I'd like to chain a handler onto the script error event and record the error for later analysis and bug filing. Problem is, I don't know that there's a global script error event or how to chain into it. And if there's not a browser-agnostic way to accomplish this, I can create MyIE and MyFF subclasses but then this becomes two browser-specific questions. In essence, I'm thinking of something like this entirely made-up call: browser.ScriptEngine.SetCustomErrorHandler(LogScriptingError); ... where LogScriptErrors is my code that does the obvious. Many of our client-side scripting errors don't necessarily prevent the test from continuing (a pretty UI element didn't animate, for example, but the underlying form is still submittable), so I'd like to log the error and forge ahead in most cases.

• Is there a way to undo Mocha stubbing of any_instance?

  Within my controller specs I am stubbing out valid? for some routing tests, (based on Ryan Bates nifty_scaffold) as follows :- it "create action should render new template when model is invalid" do Company.any_instance.stubs(:valid?).returns(false) post :create response.should render_template(:new) end This is fine when I test the controllers in isolation. I also have the following in my model spec it "is valid with valid attributes" do @company.should be_valid end Again this works fine when tested in isolation. The problem comes if I run spec for both models and controllers. The model test always fails as the valid? method has been stubbed out. Is there a way for me to remove the stubbing of any_instance when the controller test is torn down. I have got around the problem by running the tests in reverse alphabetic sequence to ensure the model tests run before the controllers but I really don't like my tests being sequence dependant.

  I am testing my Hibernate DAOs with Spring and JUnit. I would like each test method to start with a pre-populated DB, i.e. the Java objects have been saved in the DB, in a Hibernate transaction that has already been committed. How can I do this? With @After and @Before, methods execute in the same Hibernate transaction as the methods decorated with @Test and @Transactional (first level cache may not be flushed by the time the real test method starts). @BeforeTransaction and @AfterTransaction apparently cannot work with Hibernate because they don't create transactions even if the method is annotated with @Transactional in addition to @Before/AfterTransaction. Any suggestion?

• Pre-load audio files at the client-side for later use

  I'm building an online test which implements audio (mp3) using the native audio player (i.e. non Flash-based). The test shows one question at a time and loads each subsequent question asynchronously. Some questions have an accompanying audio file, others don't, and the audio files can be several MB in size. So what I'm hoping to do is to preload the audio files client-side at the start of the test and then move these into place when the relevant question comes up. So far I've tried loading an audio file into a QuickTime player, then when that question comes up I use jQuery's clone(true) method to copy this into a part of the page which is displayed. However, when I do this the QuickTime player has to reload the audio file from source. Same is true for Windows Media Player. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can preload the audio client-side and then call it forward when needed?

  Is is possible to declare mocks using some mocking framework for my own classes declaratively with Spring? I know there are some standard mocks available in Spring, but I'd like to be able to mock out my own classes declaratively too. Just to check I'm not going about this the wrong way: the idea is to have a pair of JUnit test and Spring config for each integration test I want to do, mocking everything except the specific integration aspect I'm testing (say I had a dependency on two different data services, test one at a time) and minimising the amount of repeated Java code specifying the mocks.

I'm working on a project now and as the JS (Mostly jQuery) libraries grow, it's getting more and more difficult to introduce change or refactor, because I have no way of guaranteeing the accuracy of the code without manually testing everything. I don't really know anything about JavaScript Testing Frameworks, or how they integrate/operate in a .Net project, so I thought I'd ask here. What would a good testing framework be for .Net? What does a JavaScript test look like? (e.g. with NUnit, I have [TestFixture] classes & [Test] methods in a ProjectTests assembly) How do I run a javascript test?   I am working on Solaris 10, Sun Studio 11. I am refactoring some old code, and trying to write unit tests for them. My make file looks like: my_model.o:my_model.cc CC -c my_model.cc -I/../../include -library=stlport4 -instances=extern unit_test: unit_test.o my_model.o symbol_dictionary.o CC -o unit_test unit_test.o my_model.o symbol_dictionary.o -I../../include \ -library=stlport4 -instances=extern unit_test.o: unit_test.cc CC -c unit_test.cc -I/../../include -library=stlport4 -instances=extern symbol_dictionary.o: cd ../../test-fixtures && ($MAKE) symbol_dictionary.o mv ../../test-fixtures/symbol_dictionary.o . In the ../../test-fixtures makefile, I have the following target: symbol_dictionary.o: CC -c symbol_dictionary.cc -I/../../include -library=stlport4 -instances=extern I do the instances=extern because I had linking problems before, and this was the recommended solution. The consequence is in each directory that is being compiled, a SunWS_Cache directory is created to store the template instances. This is the long way to get to this question. Is it a standard practice to consolidate object files in a single directory before you link them?

• Drupal 6 devel module dd() function not writing to drupal_debug.txt file

  I am running a local development Drupal site on a Windows machine. I am trying to use the dd($data, $label = NULL) function from the devel module to help debug. Using this function, should write debug info to a drupal_debug.txt file in the /tmp folder on the machine where the Drupal site is hosted. On my Windows machine, although I am using this function, the drupal_debug.txt file is not getting created anywhere, leading me to believe I am using the function incorrectly. Here is a snippet of how I am using it, <?php $test = "this is my test"; dd($test, $label = NULL); I am looking for an example of the correct syntax for the dd($data, $label = NULL) function. I have the Devel module enabled.

• ASP.Net Reportviewer in folder not working

  We can run the ReportViewer in a ASP.Net Web App project that is off the root OK so localhost/test/report.aspx works. It's running as a Client Report. But if we move the application up another level the report stops working so localhost/testfolder/test/test.aspx. When the report fails it has no data to display and none of the images are loading. Info: We are bind the report in code and sort out the Report.LocalReport.ReportPath to the correct path. Can't help thinking there is a setting wrong, but stumped at the moment!
